A wedding card

We had such a beautiful day today. It was sunny and warm - it was around 20 degrees Celsius. I went outside to pick some flowers and it was really lovely. I could almost wear a t-shirt already. Oh, how I like this time of the year! Unfortunately the weathermen are "scaring" us that we won't be enjoying such weather much longer; it's supposed to get cloudy tomorrow afternoon and they are even saying we might get some snow in  Sunday. Snow!!! In the end on March! *faint* Once for a change I actually hope they are wrong. I'm only just getting used to the nice spring days. *sigh*

I don't know what it's like in other countries, but here lots of people like to get married in spring, especially in May. It's warm(er) then (but not yet too hot), the flowers are blooming, the birds are singing ... Yup, I can totally understand why people would choose to have their wedding in May (or any other spring month that is). So I thought that maybe it wouldn't be a bad idea if I mada one or two wedding cards. You know, just to be prepared. And I did, I made one today. Here it is ...

This was a great excuse to try out my new stamp from Paper craft. It's lovely, isn't it? I colored the image with Tim Holtz's distress inks (spun sugar and weathered wood), Faber Castell pencils and Promarkers. This was the first time I (sort of) successfully used distress inks for coloring. I know it's not perfect and that I still need to practice, but I have to admit I'm pretty satisfied. I used some Diamond Stickles on the edge of the bride's dress, on the bouquet and on bride's tiara. I love this glitter glue. The pink papers are from Provo Craft and the silver one (yes, I know it looks gray on the picture, but honest, it's silver and looks better in person) is from my stash. The pearl hearts, ribbon and flowers are from my stash as well. Flowers were actually white, but I distressed the edges with T. Holtz's spun sugar distress ink.

Have a fab weekend! :)

I'd like to add this card to the following challenges:
