Fly away

Hi there! Do you also have the feeling that time's flying by too quickly? Gosh, I don't know where summer went. 2 months holidays sound long, but they were over before I knew it. I still hope you had a lovely summer and that you got to relax a bit during your summer vacations.

Well, it's Thursday again and you know what this means, right? Yes, a new challenge at Crafty ribbons blog. :) We enjoyed seeing all your yummy-licious creations the last time and we hope you'll join us with our new challenge too. This time we want you to follow this wonderful sketch.

Of course you can rotate it if you want to. :) I did - I turned it upside-down. lol

I did A LOT (really, a loooooooot) of stamping on this card. The background paper (the one you can barely see) was just a plain beige paper when I started working with it. But then I stamped over it with Viva Decor's Cameo stamps, Recollections' Paris stamps and Stampabilities' Faded text background stamp. I distressed the edges with my scissors and then inked them with Memento Rich cocoa stamp pad. I was a good girl and I just used small left over pieces of my scrap paper for the layering. The music sheet is actually recycled music sheet from when I was still going to music school (which was a looooong time ago). I just colored it with TH Brushed corduroy distress ink The flowery paper is from Provo Craft, the dark brown paper on the bottom of the page is from ... hmmmm, I am not sure, but I *think* it is from K&Company ... and the "swirly" (or whatever you want to call that) paper is from Sizzix' Little sizzles. The gorgeus butterfly stamp is from Close to your heart. Corners and ovals are Spellbinders' dies and the swirl is Marianne design die. The oval behind the butterfly is embossed with Cuttlebug swiss dots embossing folder. I didn't use many embellishments, just a golden brad and some flower from my stash and this seam binding ribbon from Crafty ribbons. I made the butterfly border with my border punch

And what's the prize, you may ask. Some fab new Christmas ribbons from Crafty ribbons

Perfect for the Christmas cards, don't you think so?

Well, that's all from me today. Have a wonderful day! Hugs! xx

I would like to enter my card to the following challenges:
Yumi and Fumi handmade: Anything goes
Everybody art challenge: Anything goes
Through the craftroom door: Diva or anything goes
Simon says: Anything goes
Bunny Zoe's crafts: Summer (butterflies and flowers mean summer to me :))

Money box and a card

Heya! As you probably know, it was my boyfriend's birthday earlier this month (I'm also offering some candy for this occassion so if you haven't checked it out yet, you can do it here ;)) and because it is VERY hard to buy something for him, I just made him a card and a money box (and I also put some € inside so he can buy himself something nice :D).

So, here's the card I made for him.

I did a lot of stamping on this card. And when I say a lot, I really mean A LOT. I just used some black cardstock and solid brown paper (which is actually a recycled envelope) for this card. Overy the envelope I stamped with Viva decor Floral embellishments stamps, Viva decor Cameo stamps and Recollections Paris stamps. For my main image I used one of my favourite quotes - it's a stamp from Cloud 9 design. I also used some ribbon and lace from my stash. For the corners I actually made my corner punch - I used my corner punch on a piece of white cardstock and then just cut these out to make them look like corners. The dots around the sentiment were made with Viva decor pearl pen.

Do you know "Truffes"? Here they are selling them in the boxes as you can see in the picture bellow.

Being a big chocoholic needless to say this box didn't last long. lol But I sort of liked the box so once it was empty I carefully took it apart and I used it as a template for the money box. I just put the box template on the cardstock and I outlined it and then cut it out with my scissors. And then I just added another hole so you can put money in. And this is the result.

Since my boyfriend is more keen of the simple things, I didn't decorate the box much. I just inked the edges with TH Brushed corduroy distress ink and I stamped around the edges with Viva decor Floral embellishments stamps. Then all around I glued a ribbon. This ribbon is actually from one chocolate store (go figure! lol) that's called "CukrĨek" (this is in slovenian and you could translade it something like "sweetie" or "honey") - I got it with the chocolate I bought there (they have amaaaaazing chocolate - quite pricey too, but worth it). I knew it would come handy one day. :) On the front of the money box I also made a small bow and placed a bead in the middle.

I'd like to enter my money box to the following challenges:
Frosted designs: Twine or ribbon

Well, that's all from me at the moment. Have a wonderful day! Hugs! xx

Feeling fruity and DT call at Crafty ribbons

Good morning everybody! I hope you're enjoying this lovely Thursday. It's such a nice day here today and it got a little bit warmer again.

As you know, every other Thursday we have a new challenge for you at Crafty ribbons challenge blog and today is one of those Thursdays. ;) Our challenge for this forthnight is "Feeling fruity". We want to see something fruity on your creation - a fruity paper, a fruity image ... Anything really. And we have a wonderful prize for one of you too. Look!

You will receive a Bev's bag, full of yummy ribbons. But keep in mind that the content of the bag may slightly vary from what's shown in the picture.

Now it's usually the time when I would show you my card that I made for this challenge. But not today. Today I have some other news to tell you first ... At Crafty ribbons we are having a DT call. So if you like to work with ribbons and would like to be a part of our team (I promise we are a bunch of friendly, fun and chatty ladies :D), then we would love you to apply. For more info about the DT call (what are the requirements, how to apply etc.) hop to the Crafty ribbons challenge blog. :)

So, now I will show you my card. ;)

I made a simple card for this challenge, but I was happy with how it turned out. I completely forgot I had this "You're a peach" stamp from Studio G, so I was positively surprised when I found it in the drawer. And I thought it would be perfect for this challenge. :) See the "ribbon border" (sort of) that I made around the image? I love how this turned out. And it was so fast and so easy to make! Will definitely do this again. :) For the "ribbon border" I used the "Tri stripe ribbon" that you can find here. And for the bow and ribbon in the back I used the 23mm yellow satin ribbon that you can find here. Of course both of the ribbons are from Crafty ribbons. :) I colored the image with Faber Castell pencils and the papers I used are from Provo Craft. And the crystals are from my stash.

I hope you'll join us with our challenge and think about applying for the DT position too. :)

Hugs! xx

Crafting for gold - closing ceremony

So, this is it. We've come to the last day of the Crafting for gold event (see CRPI blog for more details). Today is the last day and as for the opening ceremony also for the closing ceremony the sponsor is Crafty ribbons. Sweet Ali and Tony are giving one of you the chance to win a £25 voucher for their store. I am sure the person who wins this yummy prize will be very happy, because Ali and Tiny have SOOOOOO many gorgeous ribbons in their store. I used one of my favourites on the bookmark I made for the last day of our event.

I used the yummy polka dot ribbon from Crafty ribbons - you can find it here. For this bookmark I only used leftover pieces of paper from my stash. The flowers are from TH Tattered florals die and I stamped over them with Faded text background stamp from Stampabilities. For the center I used crystals from my stash. The butterflies were made with my craft punch and the sentiment is a rubber stamp, but unfortunately I have no idea from which company.

I made this bookmark for one friend of mine. I hope she will like it.

I wish you all a wonderful Sunday! Hugs! xx

Heya! This is my second post today. I guess miracles do happen. ;) He he. I just wanted to show you the Christmas bag that I made today.

Isn't this LOTV image just too cute? I love it! I colored the image with Faber Castell pencils and I also used some diamon Stickles (on the teddy's hat and on the snow). Here't the closer look of the image and hopefully you can also see the Stickles (click on the image for a larger view).

The patterned paper is from Folia. The big snowflakes are made with Marianne design dies and the small snowflakes are made with my craft punch. On the top of the snowflakes I also added tiny gold stars (confetti) from my stash.

The ribbon is from Crafty ribbons - you can find it here.

I would like to enter this bag to the following challenges:

Crafting for gold - day 6

Heya! I'm finally here. When I turned on my computer this morning I was in for a shock. I got the blue screen (and you probably know this NEVER means anything good in the "computer world") and there was a message that something was wrong with the system. Eeeek! Luckily Windows managed to repair it (at least for a while) so I could get to my things and quickly saved everything on my external disc. And then, my computer needed to be formated. How annoying is this?! But luckily my sweet boyfriend (aka my tech department lol) told me he'd do this for me. So while I was studying he was took care of my computer which is now up and running again. :D

I promised you I'd show you another card today and here it is ...

It's the card I made for today's challenge for the Crafting for gold event that's going on at CRPI blog. Our challenge for today was "punches"and our sponsor Crafts and me. I used my border punch and MS butterfly punch (I think I can easily say that's my favourite punch ever). The image is from Crafts and me and I colored it with Promarkers and Faber Castell pencils. The doily is from my stash and so are the crystals. I embossed the paper with Cottage floral embossing folder. I made the flower myself. And the ribbons are of course both from Crafty ribbons. :)

To be in the chance to win some yummy goodies from our today's sponsor just hop over to CRPI blog and leave your info with the linky. :)

Seeing spots and dots

Good morning! See, I told you I'd be back with a card today. ;) With 2 actually, but you'll see the other one a little bit later.

This card that I want to show you right now is made for the new challenge that just started at Crafty ribbons challenge blog. The theme for our forthnight's challenge is "seeing spots and dots". You probably know I love dots (on ribbons, on paper ...) so this was a perfect challenge for me. :D

I was asked to make a card for a baby boy and here's the result.

I used the free digi image from Angelique that can be found on her blog. Isn't this little boy just too cute? I colored the image with Faber Castell pencils. The papers are from Provo craft and the doily is from my stash. I cut the bigger stars free hand and the small ones were made with craft punch. I used the fabby dotty ribbon from Crafty ribbons. On the boy's wings and around the edges I used diamond Stickles.

I hope you'll join our challenge. :) We allso have some gorgeous ribbons to give away to the lucky winner - here's what you can win ...
