Dream

Hello there my friends! How is your weekend? I've been enjoying it so far. I've managed to finish 2 cards so far. Must be a new record for me. lol I will show you one today, but you'll have to wait a couple of days to see the other one.

The one I'm about to show you is another CAS card. I played around with TH honeycomb stencil and distress inks and here's the result.

After the design was already stenciled I sprayed some water over it. Then I just added some sequins and a dream diecut that I cut with Whimsy's large word die.

It's a very, very simple card, but it feels good making some of those for a change.

Enjoy the rest of your Sunday! xx

I'd like to enter my card to the following challenges:
Creative fingers: Anything goes
Ladybug crafts: Use your dies
Penny's paper-crafty challenge blog: Anything goes

Mixed media journal cover

Hello everybody! How are you? I hope you had a lovely weekend and that you managed to sneak into your craftroom for a bit and do some crafting as well. I went on a short trip on Saturday and on Sunday I just stayed inside and relax a bit. It was nice.

I've been wanting to try some mixed media for a while now, but haven't really had the courage to actually do it. But the other day I spent quite some time on YouTube checking tutorials and technique videos and that gave me the boost I needed to go and make my first mixed media journal cover.

I know I still have lots of learning to do, but I'm actually happy with how this turned out the photo doesn't do the cover justice *sigh*). It started as a plain kraft notebook. I removed the covers and painted them with gesso. Then I covered the covers with the gorgeous paper from Maja design. After that was done I started adding embellishments to the page and once I was happy with the look I glued everything down. As you can see I used pearls, buttons, Prima metal embellishments, chipboard, die cuts, lace and lace. Those butterflies were made with the silicone mold, Aren't they great? At the top and bottom right corner I also did some stenciling with Tim Holtz's harlequin stencil. For stenciling I used homemade texture paste

So, what do you think about this journal cover? Do you like it? I soooo enjoyed doing this project. it was messy (you should have seen my craft corner *eeek*), but hey, that's the fun part. lol I'll be definitely making more mixed media project. Hopefully MANY more. I just need to invest in some sprays, paint and chipboard embellishments.

I would like to enter my project to the following challenges:

Baby chicken for baby boy

Hey, hey! Phew, what a busy 2 weeks are behind me. This time is usually the craziest at my work and this year was no different. But with the start of new week things should calm down a bit. hopefully then I will have more time to visit you all.

I have a baby boy card to show you today. I made it with the sweet Little one stamp from Whimsy stamps.

I coloured the image with Promarkers and Faber Castell pencils.

And here's what the whole card looks like.

I used some leftover scraps of papers from my stash and I did some stitching on this card again. I also used some ribbons, pearls, doily and brads for the corners. The button-like dies are from Whimsy's button die set.

So, this is it from me for now. Have a wonderful day! xx

Rainbow

Hey, hey! How are you doing? Good, I hope. We have a new challenge at Crafty ribbons for you today and the theme is "rainbow" + ribbon. I think it's because of this challenge that the song "I can see clearly now" is stuck in my head. Don't worry, I won't start singing it. lol

I decoded to make another CAS card. Don't get used to seeing those though, I don't think there are gonna be many more of them anytime soon. ;) Anyways, here's the card ...

Now you're probably wondering about the ribbon part, aren't you? Well, the butterflies were cut from the animal cuties - fibre orange. I love that ribbon, because it's so versatile. You can use it to make your own background, you can just cut out the butterflies ... Let your imagination go wild. ;) And as for the rainbow theme goes - I decided to use colours of the rainbow for my flowers. Flowers were made with my carft punch and in the center of each flower I glued a pearl. I did the embossing with Cuttlebug's Swiss dots embossing folder and the die cut was made with Cheery Lynn die. Corners were punched with Fiskars corner punch and I also used some gems to decorate them. The sentiment is in slovenian and is litteraly means "sincere congratulations"; it can be used for graduation, birthdays etc.

I hope you will come and share with us your rainbow creations. Have a great day! xx

I would like to enter my card to the following challenges:

Bunny Zoe's GDT post

Hey, hey! I'm so excited to be writing this post! :D I was asked to be a guest designer at Bunny Zoe's challenge this month and of course I said YES (with a big smile on my face if I may add :P). Thank you so much for this opportunity Nikki! *hug*

The theme of the challenge is "Furry friends" and I was told that the sweet little birdies can count as "furry" too, so I created a Christmas card with the sweet Miss Frosty stamp that Nikki sells in her store.

I just love this image. It's so darn cute! I did the colouring with distress inks and I also used some Stickles for the snow and Liquid applique on the white parts of the hat and scarf.

I used Stickles on the poinsettia as well. Poinsettia was cut with LLLC pretty poinsettia die and I used a vintage button for the center. All of the papers and embellishments came from my stash. that candy cane was actually a Christmas tree decoration (a long, long time ago - when I was still a little girl). I just knew it would come handy one day again. ;)

I hope you will come join the challenge and show us your makes with your furry friends. Have a wonderful week! xx

I would like to enter my card to the following challenges:

Bountiful Ceci

Hey there my crafty friends! How are you? Did you enjoy the weekend? I did. :) On Friday afternoon my sweetie and I went to the capital to do some shopping (he bought ukulele and I bought some more craft supplies) and on Saturday and Sunday we had a lovely quiet time at home. It was too hot outside to go anywhere. So I went to my craft corner and work on some projects. One of them is the card I am about to show you ...

I decided to ink this adorable image from Whimsy stamps. It's called Bountiful Ceci and it is part of the Art by Miran collection.

I coloured the image with Promarkers and Faber Castell pencils. I also used glitter glue on the flowers and the bows.

Papers are some leftover scraps that I had in my stash. Flowers are from Michaels, Papermania and the small ones were made with my craft punch. The decorative corner was made with Whimsy corner die.

So much from me today. See you tomorrow. :)
Have a great day! xx

Spring is a wedding season

Hello everybody! How are you doing? I hope you've been getting some lovely warm and sunny spring days where you live. Here we've been enjoying the glorious sunny weather. It's getting really hot too - almost as if it was summer already.

Over the last month I was busy working on a special project ... I was making a wedding album for my friends. I wanted the album to be really nice so I spent quite a lot of time on it. But I think it was worth it as I liked how it turned out and what's even more imporant - my friends loved it. :D Their wedding was at the end of May so it's safe to post the pictures of the mini album here.

Their wedding was in pink tones so I decided to make the album in this colour.

I had the gorgeous DCWV's Midnight berry paper pack in my drawer and I thought it would be perfect for the mini I was going to make. I just love the colours and design of those papers - they are so pretty and elegant. I also like that you get quite a lot of tags with the paper pack - those are great to put in the pockets in the album as they can be used for photos and/or for journaling.

I won't go into all details about the album in this post, because I mentioned most of the stuff I used in the video that I made (click here to watch it on YouTube or scroll down to watch it on my blog). But if you have any question about the album, feel free to ask. I'm more than happy to help if I can. :) I would like to add that I got the basic idea about how to put this album together from My sisters scrapper, but I changed the measurements and pages a bit.

Here are some pictures from the album.

And here's the video.

I hope you understood my english and that you like the album. And as I said ... If you have any questions, just ask! :)

Thank you for stopping by today. Have a great day! Bye bye! xx
