Black, white and one other colour

Hello, hello! Wow, how time flies by. Can you believe it's almost the end of March? O.o  Spring is waking up and Easter is just around the corner. Nice, nice. :P Do you have any special traditions for Easter where you live? Or any special yummy food (dessert or something similar) that you make for Easter? We often eat "potica" here. My grandma makes a yummy one. :)

Anyways ... Enough of babbling ... I started writing this post to tell you about the new challenge at Crafty ribbons challenge blog. Your host is sweet Dawn, who chose "Black, white + one other colour" to be the theme for this challenge.

For my card I chose purple to be that "plus one colour". Here's my card ...

I didn't use and DP, just plain white, black and purple cardstock, which I punched with my border punch. I embossed the white cardstock with Cottage floral embossing folder. The doily was actually white but I colored it purple with "Lilac" Paper soft colour from Viva decor. I bought this by mistake - I was actually looking for a purple stamping pad, but they didn't have it so I though that maybe this could work. Well, it sort of does, but it gives you kind of a "water looking" image when you stamp and this wasn't really what I was hoping for. But this colour turned out to be useful anyway. :) The fab polka dot ribbon (I LOVE polka dots!) is from Crafty ribbons. I used the sweet Dress up Marci from La-la Land Crafts as the main image (isn't she just too cute?!) and I colored her with Promarkers and colour pencils. On the beads and "white" part of her hat I used diamond Stickles. I won the sentiment stamp some time ago at one challenge blog. On the scalloped circle I used pearl pen from Viva decor.

I hope you like my card! :)

Oh, and before I forget ... Once again we have an amazing prize for the lucky winner. Look at what you can win...

Aren't these ribbons gorgeous? I love the bright colours!! If you want to win them, just come play with us. Who knows, luck might be on your side. ;) And if you are in a hurry, you can find all these ribbons on Crafty ribbons site. :)

I wish you all a wonderful day!
Hugs!

Spring is coming

It was another beautiful sunny day in this tiny European country. So nice! Are you ready for the weekend? I am, but I know I will have lots and lots of work. There are quite some (work) things that I need do by Monday so my weekend will be busy. But I hope I'll manage to do some crafting too.

The other day I had some time on my hands and I made this card ...

I used the sweet Tilda with peony stamp and colored the image with Promarkers. The pink and blue papers are from Provo Craft and the green one is from Heidi Grace. I made the flower myself (in case you are wondering how, you can check the tutorial I made here). The butterflies are made with the craft punch. The doily and feather are from my stash and the ribbons are from Crafty ribbons.

Don't forget, today is Friday freebie at Crafty ribbons blog. Just leave a comment if you want to win the 20 voucher for the Crafty ribbons store. It doesn't get any easier than this, does it? ;)

I hope you are all enjoying your Friday. I wish you a wonderful weekend! Hugs!

I'd like to enter my card to the follwing challenges:

Hi everybody! How are you? I'm feeling great. The sun is shining, it's warm outside ... The spring is coming. Yay! :D It's so nice to have some beautiful sunny days again, I was really getting tired of all the fog and clouds.

We started a new challenge at Crafty ribbons today. Our theme is "Celebrate your mum". We want you to make a card for your mum or your grandma or someone wlse who has been like a mum to you. Of course we have amazing prize for one lucky winner too. ;) Have you seen the new ribbons at Crafty ribbons store? There are so many new ribbons to choose from; you gotta love them! I'm in love with these vintage roses ribbons. I think I can easily say these are my favourites. And guess what ... You can win some. Yes, you can. Because this is the prize for our challenge this time. How cool is that?! Here's the picture of the prize ...

You have to admit these are gorgeous! ;)

Now on to my card ... I used the gorgeous papers from Voorjaar and the sweet Tilda with peony stamp which I colored with Promarkers. Around Tilda I stamped with Recollections stamps (from their Paris set). The doily and the pearls are from my stash and the beautiful ribbons (all of them) are from Crafty ribbons - I used red and sable satin ribbons and red polka dot ribbon. Here's my card ...
