Away in a manger

Hey, hey! I hope you had a lovely Christmas. We had a calm family day with some yummy food and good movies. Just the way we like it. <3

I know I'm a day late with this card, but I still hope you can enjoy it.

For a long time I had been looking for a cute nativity stamp set, but none seemed right, but when saw this one from Paperbabe stamps I knew that was the one. I like that it gives you many possibilities on how to put the elements together.

On this card I created the scene with the holy family and a couple of animals. I raised different parts on foam pads to give the card some dimension. I did the colouring with polychromos. On a seperate piece of paper I stamped a sentiment (the sentiment is a stamp from Hobby Lobby) and glued it above the stamped scene. I finished the card up with two crystals.

I wish you a wonderful day and happy holidays! xx

I'd like to enter my card to the following challenges:

Happy holidays

Hello! The big day is just around the corner. Are you excited? I can't wait. Do you have any special tradition for that day? We watch Mr Bean Christmas while eating some yummy food. :) I already have this year's menu planned (well, most of it anyways). And I've already baked most of the cookies. Just one more batch to go. Do you make all the food yourself or do you prefer to buy things in the store so your don't have to worry about that and can relax?

Have you sent all your Christmas cards yet? I have and most of them were already received. Just 2 or 3 that went overseas are still on their way. But I hope those will show up before the big day too.

The card I'm about to show you has already reached its destination. Here it is ...

I was really happy with how this card turned out. I used different stamps from MFT which I fussy cut to create a scene. I did the colouring with polychromos. On the Christmas tree decorations I added some stickles, beause I wanted to make it more festive. :) I embellished the card with some lace, die cuts and a small  wooden star and a pearl. The sentiment is in Slovenian and it means "happy holidays".

Have a magical holiday season wherever you are. All the best to all of you! xx

I would like to enter my card to the following challenges:

Christmas with the cuties: Meet me under the mistletoe (make a card for someone special) - this card was made for my parents
Do-Al(l) Kreatives: It smells a lot like Christmas
Kleuren met potloden: Anything goes
As you like it: Favourite Christmas sentiment ("happy holidays" (or Slovenian version of that, which is "vesele praznike"), because it covers the whole holiday season, not just that one day and I know not everybody celebrates Christmas so by using the "happy holidays" sentiment I avoid offending someone)

Wishing you rainbows and eternal happiness

Hey hey! Can you believe I am already back with another card? Shocking, I know. :P But I wanted to show you another birthday card. I made this card for 6-year-old girl. So, what do most lil girls like? I think most of them like unicorns, rainbows, pink... With that in mind I created the following card. I hope the lil one will like it.

I used the pretty patterned paper that I had in my stash for a long time. And I used these lovely stamps from Mama elephant and cloud die cuts to create a scene. I did the colouring with polychromos and I also used stickles on parts of the images, I finished the card up with some crystals. I mean, who doesn't like some bling, right?! ;)

Have a wonderful day! xx

Celebrate

Hello everybody! How are you doing? Are you ready for the most festive month of the year? I sure am. I love December. Have you put up your Christmas tree yet? We did it this weekend. Normally we do it the first week of December, but this year I bought myself a (gorgeous) 3D advent calendar that I wanted to display next to the Christmas tree so we had to put the tree up sooner. :)

I still have quite some Christmas cards to share with you, but I will do that another time. Today I want to share with you a birthday card that I made for girl that she has her birthday in the beginning of December.

Just a little reminder before I show you the card ... Have you seen my mom's blog candy? If you want to win some markers it's definitely worth checking it out. ;) Click here or on the candy picture in the sidebar to get to the candy post.

And now the card ...

I decided to keep my card simple. I decided to ink up the adorable mouse from CC designs. I love this image. It's so cute and playful. I coloured the image with polychromos, fussy cut it and then glued it on the card. For glueing I used foam pads for some extra dimension. I finished the card up with some enamel dots and the celebrate sticker.

So much from me today. See you again soon :)

Joy!

Hello everybody! How are you doing? It's getting really cold here. But then again, it's almost November already. Crazy, right? Where did the time go?

I still have several holiday cards I want to share with you and this is one of them. But before I do that let me tell you about a fab crafty candy my mum has on her blog.

If you want to win some of those markers click here and read what you have to do. ;)

And now let me show you my card...

I was very lucky to receive this super cute penguin stamp from a very sweet lady and I am very grateful to her. I love these adorable penguins, they bring a smile to my face each time I look at them. I hope the person who gets this card will feel the same way.

Again I used the pretty papers from DCWV and I coloured the image with polychromos. Penguins are a Whimsy stamps stamp and presents are The greeting farm stamps. I didn't use any embellishments here (shocking, I now), just a few die cuts.

I used foam pads between the layers to give the card some dimension.

That's it for today. Have a lovely day!

Mugs and kisses

Hey hey! How are you doing? Are you ready for the weekend? I sure am. We are meeting with some friends so I think it'll be a fun one. Do you have any plans?

Before I show you the card I want to tell you about a yummy crafty candy my mom has on her blog. Click here if you want to check it out. :)

So, now let me show you my card.

I used quite a lot of scraps on this card, e.g. the wite corrugated cardboard, the colourful Christmas tree paper and even the green stars are cut from those small pieces of paper. It feels really great using those small paper scraps and snippets.

The image I used for this card is from The greeting farm and it's called Holiday Anya 6. Isn't she adorable? She's one of my favourite TGF stamps. :) I coloured her with polychromos. On the mug I put a silver snowflake sticker that's been in my stash forever. The sentiment comes with the stamp too.

The triangles paper was actually just a white cardstock over which I stamped with a stamp from Paper babe stamps. I embellished the card with some round and star shaped sequins.

Have a wonderful weekend!

Beaded angels

Hello everybody! Today I want to share something a bit different with you.

I really like angels so this year I decided to make some myself. I wanted to make some angels that could be used as charms, pendants or even Christmas tree decorations. And I wanted to make them with beads. I found some great ideas online, but for some reason those simple angels stood out to me the most. So I decided to make those. I bought some angel wings and went through my huge stash of beads and pearls to choose the ones I wanted to use. Once I had all the supplies ready I went to work and this what I made...

Originally I made these angels to give them away to my friends at Christmas time, but some have already found their new home. And the others are still waiting... I will definitely make more before Christmas.

Do you like angels? What kind of decorations do you like to put on your Christmas tree? Do you have any that are special for you?

So much from me today. Have a beautiful day! xx

Do you want to share a cookie with me?

Hello everybody! How are you doing?

I promised to share some more cards that I made, so here is the next one. :)

For this one I decided to keep the design simple. I used the adorable Holiday Anya 6 stamp from The greeting farm. I coloured her with polychromos. I didn't add a whole lot of embellishments, just a couple of sequins and some teeny tiny pearls.

I really like the look of CAS cards, but I find them difficult to make. For me making fully loaded cards with lots of layers and embellishments is much easier. What about you?

This is all from me today. I hope you have a wonderful day! xx

Let's have some fun

Hello! How are you doing? I hope everything is fine where you live and that you managed to enjoy this past weekend to the fullest. We sure did. We had such a lovely weather so we couldn't just stay inside - we went for a walk, to the park... And me and the lil one even did some baking. Perfect weekend - lots of fun, relaxing and quality family time. What did you do?

I also managed to squeeze in some crafting time and I created this card...

This card is different from the cards I usually make. In fact, I don't think I've ever made a card like this (the shape) before. But it was really fun to make so I might give it a go another time.

As you can see, I kept the whole design very simple. I like the effect vellum gave and I didn't want to cover it all with embellishments. I created (or at least tried to) a snowy landscape and reindeers having fun around the Christmas tree. It was my lil one who chose the images (and has already claimed the card). ;) I embossed part of the "snow" and raised the reindeer on foam pads for some extra dimension. I did the colouring with polychromos.

Have a wonderful day! xx

Hot chocolate anyone?

Hi everybody! How are you doing? I've been keeping myself busy with day-to-day activities and I've been experimenting in the kitchen. I love cooking and baking and I always keep my eyes out on the new things I can/have to try. So if you have a favourite recipe that you care to share, please do so. :) I was thinking about posting some of the stuff I make in the kitchen here, but then I've decided to keep this blog for my papercrafts (and maybe occassional piece of handmade jewelry) only. However, I'm sharing most of the dishes I make on my instagram so feel free to have a look, if you want. :)

Besides cooking and baking I've also made a couple of cards, which I would like to share with you. You can see the first one below and the others will follow in the upcoming weeks.

So, the first card I want to share with your is a Christmas one. I decided to use one of the super cute images from Severine Aubry on my card - this little fella always brings a smile to my face. :D I definitely wouldn't mind if he came here so we could share a cup of hot chocolate. ;)

I coloured the image with polychromos. I'm on a mission to "shop in my stash", so on this card I used quite a few things that I've had in my stash for what seems like forever - crystals, acetate frame with stars, rub-on sentiment and even the die cut frame is an oldie.

Have you started working on your Christmas projects? Or are you currently hooked on Halloween stuff?

So much for today. Wishing you all a wonderful day! xx

Baby blessings

Hello everybody! How are you doing? How was your summer? Did you go anywhere or did you just relax at home? We did a little bit of everything. :)

Earlier this month our friends welcomed a new baby boy into the family. We haven't seen the little guy yet, but we hope to soon. I made a baby card to give to the happy couple when we meet. And today I want to share this card with you.

I chose one of the sweet dino stamps from Clearly Besotted and I coloured it with polychromos. I decided to go for a CAS look and went through my huge pile of paper scraps to find some that I wanted to use on my card. After it was all put together I decorated the card with some sequins.

I hope you are enjoying these last days of August. xx

How the holidays start ...

Hello everybody! How are you doing?

Today I want to share with you another Christmas card I made.

I don't have a printer so I very, very rarely use digi stamps, even though I have plenty in my collection. Do you use digi stamps? I know there are several advantages to digi stamps compared to rubber/clear ones (e. g. resizing images to your desired size, price etc.), but even so I prefer the "real" stamping - meaning using a rubber/clear stamp and ink. BUT there are some images that I really, really like that only come as digi stamps. So when I visited my parents one day I asked them if I could use their printer to print a couple of images. One of the images I printed was this cute image from Polkadoodles that I used on the card below.

I coloured the image with polychromos and added some liquid applique on parts of the image to make it more interesting. The papers are from DCWV. I decorated the card with some die cut stars and crystals. The sentiment is a rub-on from Stampin' up. I added some foam pads between the layers for some extra dimension.

I hope you like this card. Have you started on your Christmas cards yet or will you make them later in the year?

Have a wonderful day! xx

Holiday card... In June

Hey, hey! How are you doing? Have your summer vacations started yet? We are still waiting for ours. But until they come I will play with my craft supplies and hopefully make several holiday cards so I will have enough for when the holidays actually come.

I would like to share one of the Christmas cards today.

I used the adorable image from MFT. First I coloured the image with my polychromos and then fussy cut it. Then I paper pieced the scarf so it matched the patterned paper. The papers are from Maja Design and Craft & you. I embellieshed the card with some lace, pearls, crystals and die cut snowflakes.

I raised different layers on foam pads for some extra dimension.

Snowy hugs

Hey hey! I have some extra free time and I decided to use it to share a Christmas/holiday card I made. You probably know I love making those to send them out to friends and family during the holiday season. And recently I received some new super cute and fun winter stamps and I can't wait to use them, but you'll have to wait a little bit longer to see cards made with them (I'm a SUPER slow crafter and right now I am quite busy at work). Today I'll share with you another winter/holiday card that I made with one of my favourite holiday images - this adorable snowman from Stamping Bella...

I took the inspiration from the previous two cards I shared with you on my blog - I kept the same design as I used on the card that I shared with you here and I created the same striped background with washi tape as I did on the card I shared with you here. I like how colourful this card is. Might need to make another one like it, even though I usually don't make duplicate (or even more of the same) cards. As usually I did the colouring with polychromos and then I fussy cut the image and raised it on foam pads for some extra dimension.

That's all from me today. Have a lovely day! xx

Flowers for your birthday

Hello everybody! How are you doing? I'm ok, just tired. I was sick last week and even though I am fine now I still don't have a lot of energy. But I'm hoping I'll be back to my old self soon.

Today I have a bright and happy card to share with you...

I decided to keep the design pretty simple to make the image stand out more. This adorable girl is an older LOTV stamp. I coloured the image with my polychromos. The sentiment is from Clearly Besotted. I have quite some washi tape in my stash, but for some reason I barely use it. However, I used some on this card - to create the striped background. It's really quick and easy and I like the effect so I am sure I will use this "technique" again in the future. Do you like to use washi tape on your creations? Do you use it often? I didn't use a lot of embellishments on this card, just a couple of crystals.

So much from me today. Have a wonderful day. xx

Snowy the snowman

Hey hoy! How are you doing? Spring is in full swing here - finally. Oh, how I missed it... I'm enjoying the warmer sunny days now. :) What about you? What's been going on where you live?

I haven't been doing much papercrafting lately. Or any other crafting at that matter. I did some beading, but that was pretty much it. I've been pretty busy with work and when I was not working I usually spent time with my family - we either went for a walk, for a daily trip somewhere... Time well spent, don't you think so?

Anyways, I might show you what I made with beads some other time, today I want to show you another Christmas card I made last year, but haven't posted it online yet.

I absolutely love CAS cards and I really admire people who can do them. I wish I was one of them, but I (almost) always end up adding several layers (and usually even quite a few embellishments *ooops*). This card is pretty much as CAS as I can do...

This adorable snowman is a SB stamp and he always makes me smile. Isn't he adorable?! I love using him on my Christmas/winter/holiday projects. I coloured this lil fella with polychromos and I added liquid applique on the white parts of his hat. I LOVE that stuff. It's so easy to use and gives such a nice fluffy touch. Love, love, love it.

I raised the "frame" I created with dies, snowman and sentiment on foam pads to give the card some dimension.

So much for today. Have a wonderful day! xx

Happy 40th birthday

Some time ago a friend of mine asked me if I could make a card for his co-worker. And he had some additional requests as well: he wanted me to use an image that would look like his co-worker (if possible), write the number "40", use some tulips and also use an image of the cake somewhere on the card. I wasn't sure if I could fulfill his requests (especially the one about the image looking like his friend), but I knew I wanted to try and do my best. It was definitely a challenge.

I was most worried about finding the perfect image, but when I saw the photo of the birthday lady I knew I have the perfect image for the card. Later he told me that when the lady received the card her first words were "oh, that's me". :D So, score!

Here's the card I made...

The image I used is from Santoro. I coloured it to look like the birthday lady. :) Since this card was made some time ago I can't remember which image (from what company) I used for the cake. Sorry! I did the colouring wih pencils.

The gorgeous papers are from K&Co. I embellished the card with pearls and some gorgeous flowers from I am roses and from my stash.

Black and white Christmas wreath

Hello everybody! How are you doing? I hope everything is well where you live. Do you have any plans for Easter. I'm planing to cook some traditional meals and we will probably colour a few eggs, but that's pretty much it.

I didn't make (or better said: finish) and Easter cards this year. Shame on me, I know. Luckily my lil one saved me - she made quite a few and we sent those to our relatives.

Well, since I don't have any Easter creations to show you you, I thought I'd share with you another Christmas project that I made quite some time ago, but never posted it here.

I made this Christmas wreath from scratch. First I made the base from old newspapers and then covered it with ribbons, Then I made some flowers from ribbon and felt and glued them onto the wreath base. All of the ribbons used on this project are from Crafty ribbons.

So much from me today. Have a wonderful week! xx

Big lacy snowflake

Hello everybody! How are you doing? Good, I hope.

I know that with Easter just around the corner I should probably work on Easter cards, but my lil one is taking care of that this year, so I can work on other cards/projects. I will share those with you a bit later, today I want to show you a Christmas card I made some time ago, but haven't shared it here yet.

To make this card I used papers from Maja design, a WRS snowflake die and some embellishments. I kept the whole design pretty simple. I separated the layers with foam pads to give the card some extra dimension.

Have a wonderful day!

Yummy cookie

Hello everybody! How are you? It's weekend! Yay! :D Do you have any plans? I am not sure what we'll do yet, but I know I want to relaaaaaax.

Today I would like to yhare with you a pretty simple Christmas card that I made. Please excuse the bad pictures. Unfortunately I don't have any better ones. :/

It's no secret that I love TGF stamps so of course I had to use one of their cuties on my card. I coloured the image with polychromos, fussy cut it, placed some foam pads on the back and glued the image on the card. The design paper I used is from Folia and the ribbon is from Crafty ribbons. Besides the ribbon I only used some colourful pearls to embellish the card.

I hope you will have a wonderful weekend. Bye bye for now. xx

Spring wreath

Heya! Some time ago I was asked to be a guest designer at Craft-alnica blog. I accepted the invitation so today I am joining a bunch of very creative ladies from their design team with the new challenge. The new fortnight's challenge is to create a spring flower wreath for mum.

This is what I made...

First I created the template for my wreath from cardstock. Then I covered it with ribbon and decorated it with some flowers, butterflies and other embellishments. All the flowers except the big white one are from I am roses. Other embellishments are from my stash.

I hope you will come play with us this fortnight.

Flowers, butterflies and sentiment

Hello everybody! How are you doing? Do you have any snow where you are or are you already getting ready for spring? We've had some lovely sunny days lately and the temperatures are getting higher, so I *think* spring is just around the corner. Or so I'd like to believe. lol

It's my lil girl's birthday today. Yay! :D Due to corona measures she couldn't celebrate with her friends and relatives, but we still did our best to make this day special for her. I baked her a cake (she gave me very clear instructions on what it should look like lol), we played lots of games, watched an animated movie... It was a lovely day. :)

Of course I also had to make a card for my girl. I know I showed you one last week, but I made that one for her birthday last year (I just didn't get around to blog about it til now *ooops*). This year I let my lil one choose the image and the papers herself. And the colours too. I have a lot (and I mean A LOT) of super cute character stamps and I was sure she would choose one of those, but no. She chose a flower stamp. I was really surprised, but I hey, it's her birthday and her card. Then she told me what colours she wanted the flowers to be and what papers (from which paper pad) should I use. I will be honest with you, at the end I was really scratching my head, not being sure if I could fulfill all her wishes. But I was definitely going to try.

So, this is the finished result...

While I really like this image, I usually use it on rectangle card, because it's pretty tall, but this time the requirement was to make a square card, so that's what I did. I coloured the image with my polychromos, fussy cut it and then added it to the card. The sentiment is a Stempelglede stamp. Over the word "magic" I went with some stickles and around the sentiment I sprinkled some embossing powder and heat embossed it. The pink and green papers are from the Sandylion's Tinkerbell paper pad and the yellow paper is from my stash. I also used an embossing folder to add some texture to the card. I also added some butterflies on the card. Those are Inkadinkado stamps. Again I did the colouring with polychromos, fussy cut them and then added some foam pads on the back before putting them on the card for some extra dimension. I finished the card with some pearls.

When my daughter saw the card her reaction was "woooow, I want this card for my birthday", so I guess it's safe to say "mission accomplished". ;)

Well, that's it from me today. Will be back again soon with another project. :)

Have a lovely day! xx
