First Communion card

Hi everybody! I was invited to be a guest designer at Cut it up challenge where a new challenge just started. It's the easiest one possible - anything goes. Just remember to include a die cut somewhere on your project. :)

I'd like to share with you a card I made for the First Communion. I didn't have any stamps that I could use so I did some googling and I found some great ideas. I used those as an inspiration and created the card below ...

As you can see I used quite a few different die cuts. ;) Since the card I for a boy I chose a green Kaisercraft design paper and paired it with some champagne and white cardstock. I really like that green paper because it has that velvety feel when you touch it I created the chalice from the round die cut circle and glued a small flower and a some die cut leaves in the middle of it. I used a Cuttlebug Anna Griffin embossing folder for the white cardstock behind the chalice.

Have a beautiful day!

I'd like to enter my card to the following challenges:
Girlz creative: Anything goes
Craft rocket: Not square
De Egel: Something that starts with "K" ("kelk")

Felt Christmas ornaments

Hello everybody! How are you doing? For the last month or so I have been working on Christmas cards and some Christmas gifts to give to friends. I don't know about you, but I much prefer giving and receiving handmade gifts, especially for Christmas - be it handmade ornaments, cookies, a nice card .... Anything really. I think a thoughtful handmade gift makes the holidays even more special. Do you like to give/receive handmade gifts? If yes, what is your favourite thing to give/receive? Last year I was giving away these mini angels (along with homemade cookies), and this year I am working on felt ornaments and will probably make some homemade "nutella" (probably better if I call it "hazelnut spread") to give it away together with the ornament.

You can find several recipes for homemade hazelnut spread online, so I will not share the one I am using, but I will share with you some of the felt ornaments I've made so far. Some of them have already been claimed, but I still have a little bit of time to make more. However, I realized I need to (or better said "want to") buy some new dies - e.g. Christmas tree die, a snowman die. You know, just to make my life easier and not have to cut everything out myself. Do you have any suggestions on which dies I could (should) buy?

These are all completely handmade by me. I used different colours of felt, beads from my stash and some embroidery thread for the stitching. I used Memory box dies for the stockings, circle dies for the Christmas puddings and Spellbinders round corner square die for some of the presents (it took me a while to remember I have those and I don't have to cut the base out by hand). Christmas trees have been cut out by scissors. Do you like them? Which one is your favourite? To be honest I can't decide. I reeeeeeally like the Christmas tree one (though that one was quite a pain to cut out by scissors, so I reeeally want a die with a similar shape), but I also love the little presents and that pink stocking. Heck, I really can't choose just one. I like them all and I hope the recipients will like them as well.

So much from me for today. Have a wonderful December! And merry Christmas and a wonderful New Year in case I don't make it back here before the year ends. :)

Big lacy snowflake

Hello everybody! How are you doing? Good, I hope.

I know that with Easter just around the corner I should probably work on Easter cards, but my lil one is taking care of that this year, so I can work on other cards/projects. I will share those with you a bit later, today I want to show you a Christmas card I made some time ago, but haven't shared it here yet.

To make this card I used papers from Maja design, a WRS snowflake die and some embellishments. I kept the whole design pretty simple. I separated the layers with foam pads to give the card some extra dimension.

Have a wonderful day!

Have a magical birthday

Hello everybody! How was your Christmas? I hope you had a lovely day with your loved ones. We had a very relaxing day at home. We had fun with the gifts Santa brought us, we ate some yummy food, watch some Christmas movies and did a lot of cuddling. It was a perfect day!

Today I would like to show you another card that I made recently - and for a change this one is not Christmassy. Shocking, I know. :P I made this card for my friend's birthday. Since she's already received it it's safe to post it online. :) Do you like making and sending cards for/to your friends and family on their birthdays? I sure do. It's just a simple gesture to let them know you are thinking of them on their special day.

On this card I combines some of my favourite things - gorgeous papers from Craft and you, beautiful flowers from I am roses and one of the sweetest little fairies from Mo Manning (this is a Stampavie stamp, called Birthday fairy Lee). I coloured this cutie with polychromos and I covered her wings with stickles. I love how sparkly they are! I finished the card off with some pearls, crystals and small butterflies.

So much from me today. See you again soon. :)
Have a wonderful day! xx

Holiday hugs

Hello lovlies. How are you doing?

The other day when I was writing Christmas cards my lil one came around and asked me which of those cards is for her. I explained to her that all of those cards are for our friends and family members. She looked me with those big eyes and said: "But they are so pretty. I want one too." So I promised her that I will make another card just for her so she can display it in her bedroom. She wasn't too keen about this idea, because she knew this means she would have to wait a couple of days for her card, but when I told her she could choose the image herself she agreed. :) She chose the cute snowman stamp from Stamping Bella. I also love this snowman. I thin it's very cute and I feel like he has his hands up in the air like this because he wants to give everybody a hug. :D

My lil one loves pink (who would have thought, right?! :P) so I wanted to make a card in pink tones, but I realized I don't have any pink dp that would be suitable for a Christmas card. *ooops* So I changed my plan and went for purple and torquise colour combination. And I added some yellow(ish) gold snowflakes for that extra splash of colours. The lil missy was happy with the card, which is most important.

Papers are from my stash and so are all the embellishments. I coloured the image with polychromos and added some diamond stickles on the white parts of the hat.

When I showed my daughter this card her first reaction was "wow", and then immediately followed this question: "Where are the hearts?" I had an "ummmmm" moment for a couple of seconds, because hearts were not part of the original request. Luckily I used the La La Land snowflakes (my favourite snowflake dies!) on this card and they have small heart shaped holes in them. So I showed those to my daughter and luckily she was happy with that. Now this card is displayed on a shelf in her bedroom.

As this is my last post before Christmas, let me wish you a merry Christmas. May it be filled with love and laughter despite the strange time we are in right now. I hope you will get to spend it with your loved ones. Hugs! xx

A festive hello

Hello everybody! How was your weekend? Did you have a nice time? We spent it at home, relaxing. It felt really good. On Saturday we finally put on our Christmas tree and decorations, watched some Netflix and Disney+ and we even took an easy way out with lunch - we just made pizza. :) And Sunday was just another easy going day at our place. Playing, watching Netflix/Disney+ and taking it easy. For me this was a perfect weekend.

I'm still working on my Christmas cards when I have time and this is one of those I made in the last couple of days.

I really like this image from LLLC. Isn't this Marci adorable? I decided to use non-traditional Christmas colours for a change. I like how Marci's yellow dress pops up against the pink background. What about you? Do you prefer the traditional Christmas colours when making Christmas cards or do you like non-traditional colours as well? I did the colouring with my polychromos.

I decorated the card with some doilies, pearls and some crystals and I also used a piece of glittery tape on there. It's hard to see in the pictures, but if you look reeeeeeeeeeeally closely and reeeeeeeally caefully you can see that I covered the showflake banner in Marci's hands with diamond stickles so it's really sparkly. What can I say... I love me some bling. ;)

So much from me today. have a wonderful Sunday (what's left of it) and a lovely week! xx

Happy 60th birthday

Good morning everybody! How are you doing? Did you do anything special this weekend? We decided to take advantage of the beautiful sunny day and go on a short trip on Saturday. It was really nice. And yesterday we went for a long(er) walk around the town.

I want to remind you that we have a sketch challenge going on at The sketchy challenges blog. I hope you will come and play with us.

Here's the card I made...

One of my relatives celebrated his 60th birthday in September and this is the card I made for him. Since it was a card for a guy I didn't want to add too many embellishments, but I couldn't stay away from pearls. *ooops*

For the card I used Maja design papers and different die cuts to make the card more "elegant". I think this card is pretty self explinatory, but if you have any questions, feel free to ask. :)

Have a beautiful day!

Who likes strawberries?

Mmmm, strawberries! Yum! Do you like them? I sure do. We just bought some the other day and they were delicious. And... I managed to resist the temptation to add some whipping cream and/or chocolate on them. Yay me! lol

You are probably wondering why I am babbling about strawberries, aren't you? Well, a short while ago I participated in a card swap in Stamp Anniething FB group. Each participant was given the same digi stamp and we had to make a card with it and send it to our swap partner. The image was of a sweet girl sitting on a strawberry.

I made this card for the swap, but also as a reminder for the current challenge at The sketchy challenges blog, where our current challenge is "Ribbon, lace or twine". You have til the end of the month to enter your creations into the challenge. I hope many of you will join us!

Here is the card I made.

Image is from Stamp Anniething and I coloured it with pencils. Papers are from my stash and the flowers are from I am roses. I also used some crystals, pearls and a piece of dotty ribbon as embellishments.

So much for today. See you again tomorrow. :)
Hugs! xx

Wonderful Xmas

Hello my crafty friends! I have another Christmas card to share with you. This one was made last year and it has already arrived to its destination, but I haven't gotten the chance to show it here yet.

I don't use digi stamps often, because 1.) my printer is almost always out of ink, 2.) no matter what I do my ink runs if I do the colouring with distress inks and 3.) if there is ink in my printer, I am often too lazy to print digis. I find it much easier and faster to just stamp an image on the paper. All that being said, this digi I used on the card I'm about to show you was just too cute not to be used. It's been sitting in the folder on my computer for quite a while, just waiting to be used. It took me a while to finally print it (see reason no. 3 above), but eventually I did it. Luckily more than once so I can use it again this year if I feel like it. :P

Anyways, here's my card...

The image is from Whimsy stamps and it was a freebie some time ago. I coloured it with pencils.

Papers are from Folia and Docraft. I used several different dies on this card (from LLLC, LDRS...) and I spelled Xmas with glittery alphabet stickers. Those flowers/snowflakes around the image came with the same set as the alphabet stickers. To decorate the card I used some crystals.

So much from me today. Have a beautiful day! xx

Hello everybody! And happy 2018! I hope the new year started off good for you. I can't tell you how happy I am 2017 is over. It was a pretty tough year for us so I am hoping this year will be better. It started out great, let's just hope it stays this way. *fingers crossed*

Today starts the first challenge of this year on Magnolia-licious challenge blog. We have a nice and easy theme for you - anything goes. Just remember you have to use Magnolia, Stamping Bella, Whimsy stamps or CC designs stamp on your project to be in the chance to win an amazing prize from Magnolia-licious store.

I decided to make a get well card. I never have one of those on hands, but I think they can be very handy sometimes.

On my card I used Nurse Tilda stamp from Get well collection. I also used cap and little cross die that came with the collection. I did the colouring with Promarkers and pencils. Papers and embellishments came from my stash.

I hope you will come play with us.

Have a nice day! xx

Christmas with reindeers

Hello everybody! How are you? I hope you've been enjoying the holidays so far. Did Santa left anything nice for you under the Christmas tree? Obviously I was on the nice list this year, because I was really spoiled. :) Did you get any snow for Christmas? I was hoping we would have white Christmas this year, but we didn't. I bet we'll be getting lots and lots of snow in January, when no one wants it. *sigh* My little girl got sleighs for Christmas and today we went to the place near by with artificial snow to test them. At first she was a bit scared, but after a couple of rides she was smiling ear to ear and didn't want to go home. lol

Ok, enough chit chat. There are still a couple of Christmas cards I made this year that I would like to share with you. Today I want to show you this one...

I was very pleased with how this one turned out. In fact, I think it turned out better than I expected it to to be honest. I used some non-christmassy papers from Prima and lots of die cuts that I received from my friends. For the center of my card I used the beautiful Christmas tree rubber stamp which I embossed with Ranger's gold embossing powder. Around the image I sprinkled some frantage. Love that thing! I embellished the card with some lace.

Layers are raised on foam pads, which give the card some dimension.

I hope you like my today's card. Have a wonderful holiday season and all the best in 2018! xx

Fun in the snow

Hi there! :) How are you doing? Do you have any snow where you live? We don't have any here anymore, but I hope we will get some for Christmas. *fingers crossed* The big day is just around the corner. Yay! :D Are you looking forward to it? Have you bought all the Christmas presents yet or are you doing some very last minute shopping this year? I have them all, I just need to wrap them up and put them under the Christmas tree. :)

So, today I want to share with you another Christms card I made.

This snowman always brings a smile to my face. Isn't it adorable with that little chick on top?! Love it! I did the colouring with pencils. The small silver snowflakes around the image are stickers that I had in my stash. Papers are from DCWV. The big white snowflakes are covered with glitters and are really sparkly in person. I hope you can see this in the photo below.

In the center of two big snowflakes I added small silver snowflake sequins and pearl and in the center of the third one I glued a wooden snowman that I had in my stash. I also used some lace and smaller pearls to embellish the card.

So much from me today. Have a wonderful holiday season! xx

Here's my card...

For a change I didn't do any colouring. Instead I used this vintage printed image from Pion. Isn't it pretty? I used different papers from my stash and I embellished the card with some flowers, pearls, pearl string and crochet heart.

I hope you'll come play with us. Have a beautiful day!

Happy holidays

Hello there! How are you doing? Did you have a nice Halloween? Did you do anything special on the scariest night of the year? We don't really celebrate Halloween here so it was just an ordinary day for us.

Now that the spooky holiday is behind us we can concentrate on Christmas. Yay! :D Have you done any Christmas shopping yet? I have already bought some presents, but not all. And for a change I am also on track with my Christmas cards this year - score! I'm about to show you the most recent one I made. This forthnight we have a sletch challenge at The sketchy challenges and the ard I am going to show you was made as inspiration for this challenge.

As you can see I decided to make another card in non-traditional colours. The papers I used are from Lawn Fawn and I really like them. The adorable snowman is a Stamping Bella stamp. I did the colouring with pencils. I embellished the card with some lace, crystals, sequins and "happy holidays" metal charm.

I hope you will come play with us. Have a wonderful day!

Happy snowman

Hey, hey! How was your summer? Did you have a nice time? Did you travel anywhere? Are you ready for fall? Here the temperatures dropped, so I can feel autumn is already knocking on the door. And before we know it December will be here too, so I thought I better start working on my Christmas cards. Here's the latest one I made.

I decided to use the cute snowman digi stamp from Whimsy stamps. Colouring was done with pencils and at the end I covered the snowman with Wink of Stella, so in person he's really sparkly, but unfortunately you can't see this in the photos. Papers and embellishments are from my stash. I added layers on top of each other with foam pads, which gave the card some dimension.

I made this card for the Whimsy stamps DT call and even made step by step photo tutorial for it, because that was one of the requests for applying. So in case you are wondering how I put this card together, check the photo below.

Some people asked what dies I used on this card, so here's the list:
Cherry Lynn: Polynesian Sails
Spellbinders: Standard large circles, Picot edge circles, Floral ovals
Joy crafts: Ice crystal border
Sizzix: Snowman
Nellie's: Stars
Unbranded: small decorative border

I hope this helps. :) If you have any other question just ask!

So much from me today. See you again soon! xx

Christmas in August

Hello! :) How are you doing? I hope the temperatures are not too high where you live. We had a terrible heat wave last week, but this week it's better - we got some rain and temperatures dropped down a bit. Now it's actually possible to go outside for a walk and enjoy it.

Have you started thinking about Christmas yet? I know it still seems far away, but I know I should start working on my cards now if I want to have enough to send to my friends when the time comes. Especially with my crafting "speed". ;) This Christmas card I'm about to show you was made for one very nice lady. We decided to do a Christmas in August card swap. I was feeling like making a vintage style card, so here's the result.

This card was inspired by one of the cards on my friend's Pamellia cards. To me she's the queen of shabby chic/vintage style so when I am in the mood for making something in that style and am in need of some inspiration I hop to her blog and am always in awe of her creations.

For my card I used some papers that I has in my stash. I distressed the edges and started layering patterned paper on pieces of white cardstock. All the layers are glued on top of each other with foam pads, which gives the card some dimension.

Image is embossed with gold embossing powder from Ranger. I decorated the card with some flowers, ribbon/lace, wooden snowflakes and pearl stars. When everything was glued together I randomly sprinkled some gesso mixed with water over the card.

So much from me today. Have a beautiful day! xx

I'd like to enter my card tothe following challenges:
