Spring wreath

Heya! Some time ago I was asked to be a guest designer at Craft-alnica blog. I accepted the invitation so today I am joining a bunch of very creative ladies from their design team with the new challenge. The new fortnight's challenge is to create a spring flower wreath for mum.

This is what I made...

First I created the template for my wreath from cardstock. Then I covered it with ribbon and decorated it with some flowers, butterflies and other embellishments. All the flowers except the big white one are from I am roses. Other embellishments are from my stash.

I hope you will come play with us this fortnight.
Have a great day! xx

I'd like to enter my creation to the following challenges:
I am roses: Anything goes
Simon says (Monday challenge): Anything but a card

Have some chocolate

Hey hey! So we've made it, we got to the end of this strange and challenging year. While it was very different from what we probably expected when it started, I think it also thought us a lot. We learned to be more patient, made us realize what is the most important... So in my opinion not everything was bad. For me, the best thing was the fact that I got to spend more time with my hubby and my lil one. For me that was precious. That being said, let's hope for a covid-free new year. I wish each and every single one of you a very happy 2021. May it be the best year yet!

I've been wanting to colour this image for a looooooong time, but for some reason I never get around to do it - til now. I don't really do New Year's resolutions, but I've decided I will try to use stamps I've had in my stash for a while, but haven't used yet (or haven't used in a long time) for one reason or another.

I coloured the image with polychromos. The papers I used are from Maja design and the flowers are from I am roses and from my stash. I finished the card off with somecrystals, pearls, small bow and metal love charm. I thought it went perfectly with the image. Do you agree? I'm trying to be good and use what I already have in my stash before buying any new craft supplies. I wonder how long will I manage to do this. lol

That's it for me today. Have a wonderful day and see you again soon! :)

I'd like to enter my card to the following challenges:

Have a magical birthday

Hello everybody! How was your Christmas? I hope you had a lovely day with your loved ones. We had a very relaxing day at home. We had fun with the gifts Santa brought us, we ate some yummy food, watch some Christmas movies and did a lot of cuddling. It was a perfect day!

Today I would like to show you another card that I made recently - and for a change this one is not Christmassy. Shocking, I know. :P I made this card for my friend's birthday. Since she's already received it it's safe to post it online. :) Do you like making and sending cards for/to your friends and family on their birthdays? I sure do. It's just a simple gesture to let them know you are thinking of them on their special day.

On this card I combines some of my favourite things - gorgeous papers from Craft and you, beautiful flowers from I am roses and one of the sweetest little fairies from Mo Manning (this is a Stampavie stamp, called Birthday fairy Lee). I coloured this cutie with polychromos and I covered her wings with stickles. I love how sparkly they are! I finished the card off with some pearls, crystals and small butterflies.

So much from me today. See you again soon. :)
Have a wonderful day! xx

I'd like to enter my card to the following challenges:

Celebrate

Hello, lovely people! How are you? Ready for the weekend? I sure am. I just want to stay home and relax.

Today I would like to share with you a card I made for my friend's birthday. She's a cat person so I knew that this Wild rose studio image is perfect for the card I was making for her.

For a change I coloured the image with distress inks. I used beautiful papers from Craft and you and some gorgeous flowers from I am roses (+ some from my stash) to decorate the card. I stamped the sentiment and then went over it with Sakura gel pen to make it more sparkly.

So much for today. Have a beautiful day! xx

Penguin with a balloon

Hello everybody! How are you doing? Good, I hope? It was the last day of school here so now we can start thinking about vacations. 😎 Are you going anywhere this year?

I've made this card some time ago, but haven't gotten around to post it on m blog yet.

To make this card I used papers from Craft and you and image from Whimsy stamps.  I used double sided sticky foam to add some dimension between the layers.

How adorable is this penguin?! I think he's one of the sweetest penguins ever. 😍 I coloured this cutie with pencils and  also added some stickles on the hat.

I decorated the card with some pearls from my stash and with flowers - those are from I am roses.

So much from me today. Have a wonderful summer! :)

Sending you fairy birthday wishes

Hello everybody! How are you doing? This week I got to visit some of my friends for the first time since the lockdown. It was soooooooo nice to sit down, enjoy the lovely meal and have a looong chat. I really missed this. Things are not completely back to normal yet and there are still safety measures in place, but at least we can go out, visit friends etc. Things we were taking for granted before the covid-19 situation.

Today I would liketo show you a card I made for my mom's birthday.

Don't you just love these adorable fairies from Mo Manning? I totally do. I mean, seriously, look at how cute they are! They always make me smile.

I had lots of fun colouring this cutie. :) I did the colouring with Faber Castell's polychromos.

I embelished the card with some flowers, pearls and sequins.

Have a beautiful day! xx

To my daughter... I LOVE YOU

Hello everybody! How are you doing? I've been pretty busy lately; spending time with my lil one, learning french etc. What's the weather like where you live? Do you have any snow? We do, quite a lot of it actually. I wonder all this white stuff was for Christmas when I actually wanted it... It really has a terrible timing. *sigh* But I will admit that nature looks nice all covered with snow. :)

So, the "love month" is here. Do you have any plans for Valentine's day? Do you do anything special on that day with your other half? I will be honest, I don't really do Valentine's day. I like to surprise my hubby with little things on random days through the year, not "just" on Valentine's day. Therefore I don't really do any Valentine's day crafty projects. So when I saw that the theme of this month's challenge at The Sketchy Challenges blog is Love/Valentine's day I started thinking what to do. Lucky for me a very, very special person celebrate's her birthday this month. My sweet little girl who I LOVE with all my heart is turning three later this month. I can't believe how fast these 3 years have gone by.

For this challenge I made a card for my birthday girl.

When I was thinking about what image to use for my card I knew I wanted something sweet. Preferably a little girl with a toy of some sort. And this adorable Sweet friends Marci from La La Land Crafts was perfect. My lil girl also has a panda toy and loves playing with it, so score! :D

Seriously, isn't this image just too cute? I really like it. A lot! I coloured the image with Faber Castell Polychromos and then carefully fuzzy cut it and raised it on foam pads to get some dimension.

I decorated the card with all of my favourite embellishments - lace, pearls and lots of beautiful flowers from I am roses.

I can't wait to see your Valentine's/Love projects, so do come play with us at The Sketchy Challenges. :)

Hugs! xx

Corsage

Hello there! Phew, it's been a while since my last post. But the last 2-3 months have been crazy busy and I barely had any time to craft. Now things are SLOWLY coming together so hopefully I will have some more free time again.

About a week ago we moved to our new home. Moving to a completely new country is definitely a challenge, especially since we don't know the language (yet), but I am sure we will get through it. So far I like our new place. The town is lovely, people seem to be nice, apartment is bright and I have a nice crafty space in it too. So I really can't complain. ;) I am a bit worried because of the language - not many people understand english - but I am starting a language course in September and til then I will continue to learn on my own. Wish me luck!

Today I want to show you a corsage I made for the wedding.

I only used paper flowers and two berries/pearls. All of the flowers and leaves are from I am roses and the berries/pearls are from my stash.

The medium white flowers that I used for the corsage are the same I had in my hair for the wedding. ;)

The colours of the wedding were white, silver and light yellow, so I chose flowers in those colours for the corsage.

That's it for today. I wish you a wonderful day!
Bye bye :)

I'd like to enter my project to the following challenge:
I am roses: Anything goes

Invitations (Vabila)

Hello everybody! How are you doing? I've been super busy lately - with crafting and with other things. That's why I haven't been very active online either. I want to share some news with you which will tell you what kept me busy. Sooooo...

First of all - I am getting married in a week! :D Woohoo! It's all happened so fast so I didn't have as much time to plan everything as I would normally want, but things are coming together now, so all is good. I still have some things to do, but I know I can do them. :)

Another big news is that I am moving to another country. I won't go into details about when, where etc., but I will tell you that it's soon. So looking at the apartment there, learning the language etc. are the things that keep me busy as well.

So, as you can imagine my crafty time has been very limited. I did however manage to make wedding invitations. Luckily it's a small wedding with only close relatives, so I didn't have to make THAT many. ;) I kept the design the same, but I did change some flowers, papers etc. for some of them. Want to see the pictures? Here you go...

And another one with the different big flower

All the invitations were made with Craft and you papers. Most of the flowers I used are from I am roses, but on some invitations I used flowers from other brands as well. I made the butterflies myself with modge molds and white modge melts. Doilies and lace came from my stash. The sentiment is in slovenian and it means "invitation". It's a clear stamp from Mavelu. I embossed it with gold embossing powder from Ranger.

I made these also as an inspiration for the current challenge at The sketchy challenges. Be sure to check the challenge out if you want to have a chance to win some crafty goodies.

So much from me today.

Have a beautiful day! xx

Who likes strawberries?

Mmmm, strawberries! Yum! Do you like them? I sure do. We just bought some the other day and they were delicious. And... I managed to resist the temptation to add some whipping cream and/or chocolate on them. Yay me! lol

You are probably wondering why I am babbling about strawberries, aren't you? Well, a short while ago I participated in a card swap in Stamp Anniething FB group. Each participant was given the same digi stamp and we had to make a card with it and send it to our swap partner. The image was of a sweet girl sitting on a strawberry.

I made this card for the swap, but also as a reminder for the current challenge at The sketchy challenges blog, where our current challenge is "Ribbon, lace or twine". You have til the end of the month to enter your creations into the challenge. I hope many of you will join us!

Here is the card I made.

Image is from Stamp Anniething and I coloured it with pencils. Papers are from my stash and the flowers are from I am roses. I also used some crystals, pearls and a piece of dotty ribbon as embellishments.

So much for today. See you again tomorrow. :)
Hugs! xx

Darilna embalaža/Gift card holder (tutorial)

Lep pozdrav vsem skupaj!

Hello everybody! Today I made a tutorial on how to make a gift card holder that also holds a small hidden surprise. It's made of a small "sandwich paper bag". i hope the pictures explain it well, but if you have any questions, feel free to ask. :)

Pa začnimo ...

Potrebovali boste naslednje stvari:
- natron vrečko
- dekorativni papir (jaz sem uporabila tega in tega)
- štampiljko (jaz sem uporabila Mama Elephant - Over the rainbow)
- trak (jaz sem uporabila bel organza trak širine 1 cm)
- robni luknjač (jaz sem uporabila tega)
- Spellbinders šablone
- luknjač z motivom metuljčka
- rožice
- perle
- kristalčke
- gesso (bel)

Če vrečko razgrnete, dobite to ...

Potrebovali boste štiri kartončke v velikosti 9.5x7.5 cm in en kartonček v velikosti 7.5x4.5 cm (v primeru, da boste uporabili vrečko drugih dimenzij, prilagodite velikost "strani").

Jaz sem za naslovnico izbrala štampiljko Mama Elephant in romantičen papir proizvajalca Craft and you.

Tako, to je to za danes. Upam, da vam je vodič všeč. Želim vam čim lepši dan! :)

I'd like to enter my gift card holder to the following challenges:

What is your favourite colour?

Hello everybody! I am back with a new card. :) A new challenge just started at The sketchy challenges blog and this time we would like to see what will you create with your favourite colours. A pretty simple challenge, right?

Well, normally I would say my favourite colours are pastel colours, pink, teal etc., but I didn't use those on my card. And I am not cheating, I swear. lol It is just that it depends on the occassion what colours I choose for my project. I for one can't make a pink and teal Easter card. I know some (probably many) of you can, but I can't. My favourite colours for making Easter cards are yellow, orange, red, maybe a bit of green here and there. So those are the colours I chose for my card today.

Currently my "go to" papers are from My mind's eye's paper pad (The sweetest thing - tangerine). I used those on this card too. Again I used a sweet bunny from CC design for the center of my card.

The other stamped images are from The Greeting Farm. I did the colouring with pencils.

I embellished the card with some pearls, ribbon and some flowers. Most of them are from I am roses, and the rest are from my stash.

So much from me today. Have a great day! xx

Frame it

Hello there! How are you doing? We got LOTS of new snow over the last couple of days so I am very happy I have the chance to stay in where it's warm. I really don't have any desire to go out into that cold. And what's worse is that the weathermen are saying the next week will be even worse - more snow and even colder. Pffff... Not something I'm looking forward to. But on the other hand, this is a perfect excuse to stay in and do some crafting. ;)

Earlier this month my sweet little baby girl was celebrating her second birthday and to add to the celebration I made a couple of heart earrings and I'm giving two people the chance to win a pair in their desired colour. This is what the earrings look like (sorry for the bad photo)...

If you want a pair, all you need to do is to comment on my Instagram photo here or on the photo on my Facebook with the colour you'd like. Blog comments do NOT count. You have til Sunday 9 am (my time) to leave your comment.

We are having family over for celebration tomorrow and we're also having a cake then. We are having a panda themed party, because pandas are "big hit" with my lil one at the moment. :)

Anyways, enough about that. I need to tell you about the new challenge that just started at The Sketchy Challenges blog. This time we would like you to use a frame of some sort on your creations. Here's my card - a birthday one. ;)

To make this card I used leftover pieces of paper from Prima's Romance novel paper pad. I just love this pad, so I couldn't part with those small strips of paper. I usually don't save them, but I did with this paper. And I'm really happy I did. :) I got inspiration for this type of project at Natascha's blog, because she often uses scraps of paper on her cards.

To decorate the card I used some gorgeous flowers, pearls and crystals. Image is from Whiff of joy and I coloured it with pencils.

So much from me today. I hope you will come play with us! :)

I'd like to enter my card to the following challenges:
Deep ocean: Cute and cuddly
Let's craft and create: Anything goes
Cute card Thursday: Cute critters
Allsorts: I spy with my little eye, something beginning with B (butterflies, black, birthday cake)
