Some magic before the year is over

Hello everybody! Are you redy for the New Year. I don't know about you, but December just flew by for me. Do you have any special traditions for New Year? What about New Year's resolutions - have you made any? We don't have any special traditions for New Year. I think I will stay inside this year with my sweetie and we will watch some movies, drink cocoa ... It'll be a nice and calm evening. :) On January 1 we are planning to visit our relatives to wish them happy New Year and than that's it. Nothing very exciting. ;) And as for New Year's resolutions goes, I have to admit I'm pretty terrible at sticking to those. Somehow they never work out for me (I wonder why!). So I don't really bother making a list full of those. But I do hope to make more mixed media projects next year, so this is *kind of* a New Year's resolution for me. It's close enough. ;)

Today I would like to show you a card I made a short while ago. Surprise, surprise, it's not Christmassy. lol

And it's not cute either. Now, that's something, right? ;) He he. I decided to use the sentiment stamp from Stempelglede for the center of my card. I really like this quote. Around the sentiment I sprinkled some frantage. For this card I used Prima papers, pearl string, doily, pearls and flowers from my stash and white satin ribbon from Crafty ribbons.

I hope you are enjoying these last couple of days of 2014.

Hugs! xx

Merry Christmas! xx :)

To all my friends ...
I wish you a very merry Christmas. May it be magical and may all our wishes come true. Have a wonderful day with your loved ones.
Big holiday hugs to you! xx

Blog hop for a special person

Hello everybody and MERRY CHRISTMAS!!! I'm wishing you a wonderful day, surrounded with your loved ones. May your Christmas be MAGICAL! :D

I'm here today to tell you about a blog hop we have prepared for a special lady. Lots of crafters from all over the world are participating in this hop. The reason behind this hop is that we wanted to do something special for Alyce. Do you know Alyce? No? Yes? For those of you who don't know her, let me tell you that she's one super sweet and super talented lady who has those amazing colouring classes at Kit and Clowder page. Definitely worth checking out, if you want to learn to colour. :)

So ... Each of the participants in the blog hop made a card for Alyce. You should have arrived here from Davinia's blog. If you haven't, and would like to start at the beginning of the hop, please go to Mari's blog, She's a first stop and you can go on from there. :)

Here's the card I made for Alyce.

I "cheated" a little and didn't use a coloured image for the center of my card. I used a gorgeous angel stamp from Stempelglede instead. I sprinkled some frantage around the image as well. I hope Alyce will like it! It took me forever to do all the stitching (I don't have a sewing machine so I had to do it by hand), but I like the look it gives so I think it was worth it. I made all of the flowers myself. Ribbons are from Crafty ribbons and pearls, doilies and those star sequins are from my stash. It's hard to tell from the picture, but this card is really sparkly in real life. I added glitter glue around the edges of the paper and also on the flowers (all of them) and on the star that's peeking from behind.

So, Alyce ... Thank you for all the hard work you are putting into your classes and for inspiring me and many more crafters all around the world with your gorgeous creations. Thank you also for always being so sweet and helpful. I wish you and your loved ones a very merry Christmas and all the best in 2015. Big hugs to you! xx

Last Christmas I gave you my heart

Hey, hey! I'm here again with another Christmas card. I've made quite a few of those this year. But I'm not complaining - could be making those all the time. I just love Christmas. :)

The card I'm about to show you was made for the challenge which started today at The sugar bowl blog. As always, the theme is anything goes. The only requirement is that you use Sugar Nellie image.

This time I chose some soft coloured papers to work with. It's not a typical Christmas card, but I hope you like it anyways. I just love these adorable snowmen. Aren't they cute?! It's a Sugar Nellie stamp which is unfortunately retired, BUT you can still get those snowmen as a topper. :) It's hard to see in the picture, but this card is really sparkly in real life. The snowflakes are all covered with glitters, there are glitters on parts of the image, snowflake border is glittery too, there's bling at the bottom and also in the center of the bow and then there are also sequins. I used the baby pink seam binding ribbon from Crafty ribbons to make a bow.

I coloured these cuties with distress inks and as I have already said, I also used some glitter glue on the image.

I'm also using this card for our Christmas event at Crafty ribbons inspiration blog. If you don't know what I'm talking about, hop to the blog and check it out. And while you are there, don't forget to enter your name in the prize draw. Who knows, you might be the lucky winner of one of the amazing prizes our sponsors are offering. ;)

Enjoy these last couple of day before Christmas. Big holiday hugs to all of you! xx

Sending love at Christmas

Heya! Less than a week til Christmas. How exiting! :D I can't wait for THE day to arrive. :) In my town they made a "Christmas village" in the park with activities for kids, stalls where you can buy those last minute Christmas gifts etc. It's lovely! It's only there for 2 days though. Yesterday was the first day and today is the second one. I was there yesterday, but I'm going there again today. :)

Today I would like to show you another Christmas card that I made. It's on the way to my friend overseas right now. It's been travelling for quite a while now so I hope it'll get there in time for Christmas.

This card was very much inspired by my sweet friend Pamellia. She uses texture paste and stencils on pretty much all her creations to create her own backgrounds. And I'm always "wowed" by how great they turn out. I'm telling you, that girl is as Artist with the capital A. So, I wanted to make my own stenciled background too. I did cheat a little, because I used Prima's red paper as a base, but hey, I did some stenciling and I used the texture paste for the first time ever. And I just love the result!

Doesn't the background look great?! I really like it. I used Heidi Swapp stencil and home-made glitter paste. I didn't have enough glitters, so I experimented a bit and added some other stuff in there (don't ask lol), but now it looks really shimmery in real life, just the way I like it. :) I used the recipe  for glitter paste that Pamellia shared on her blog. If you look closely to that red poinsettia that I made with La-La Land die you will see, that I added some micro beads to the center. I got that idea from Pamellia as well. I bought gesso th other day and added some of it on the poinsettia as well.

I used the sweet Marci from La-La Land as my main image and I coloured her with distress inks.

I also added some glitter glue on the bauble. I love my glitter glue. He he. The sentiment came with the stamp.

Well, that's it from me for today. Have a wonderful weekend and big holiday hugs to all of you.

New challenge at Cafty ribbons and CR Christmas event - day 6

Good morning! How are you doing? Good, I hope. I'm done with work for this week and I hope to do some baking over the next couple of days. I want to make some cookies for Christmas. :) Do you do any baking for Christmas? Do you have a traditional holiday desert in your country?

Today started a new challenge at Crafty ribbons blog. It's the last challenge of this year and it's a pretty simple one - we want to see penguins on your creation. I love penguins so I had lots of fun making a card for this challenge. I actually combined 2 things that's been going on at Crafty ribbons right now. First is the challenge I was just telling you about and the second one is the Christmas event that's been going on at the Crafty ribbons inspiration blog. If you haven't stopped there, go now. You won't be sorry, because the DT has lots of eye candy for you and we also have amazing sponsors who are offering some yummy prizes. :)

Aren't these pingos cute?! Oh, I love them! And it looks like they are having so much fun! :D It's a WOJ image that I coloured with distress inks. I also added some glitter glue and some Marvy uchida liquid applique.

Papers are from DCVW. I embellished my card with some bling, pearl string and 3 different ribbons. Bling and pearl string are from my stash and the ribbons are from Crafty ribbons.

I hope you like my card and that you will come play with us at our last challenge of 2014.
Have a wonderful day! xx

12 days of Christmas event at Crafty ribbons - day 1

Hey hey! Just one more day, one day, no more and I'll be going to the Bryan Adams concert. I'm SO excited!!! I've been looking forward to this ever since I found out he's coming to this little country. And my excitement got even bigger when I got the tickets for my birthday. And now the day FINALLY arrived (well, almost lol).

Otherwise I'm all in Christmas spirit and I want to listen to (and sing too lol) Christmas carols all the time. Do you have a favourite Christmas song? Mine is definitely Christmas time by Bryan Adams (go figure lol). There are maaaaany more that I like (what can I say, I'm nuts about Christmas), but it's Bryan's song I want to share with you today. You know, just to get you in the Christmas mood if you are not already. ;)

Ok, now that you are in the Christmas mood I want to tell you about an event that started at Crafty ribbons inspiration blog today. We are doing a 12 days of Christmas event. :D

Over the next 12 days the DT will be showing you their Christmas makes and hopefully inspire you to do some last minute Christmas crafting. Each day of the event will be also sponsored by some wonderful companies who generously donated prizes for the event.

We are at the very first day of event and today's sponsor is Bearly mine designs.

For the first day I made a very sparkly Christmas card. You can never have too much sparkle, right? ;)

I've used my last few pieces of Maja design papers (I definitely need to buy more) and lots of sparkly snowflake embellishments. I got the big ones as an early Christmas gift from my friend and the small ones have been in my stash forever. To be honest completely forgot I had them. *ooops* I found them by coincidence when I was sorting out my craft things. It's good to do some cleaning up every now and then. ;) Doily and pearls came from my stash as well. And so did the brads (those sparkly white dots at the bottom of the page are brads). Ribbon is from Crafty ribbons and you can find it here. The adorable image is from La-La Land and it's calleed Snowflake garland Marci. She's coloured with distress inks.

In the center of each snowlake and in Marci's hair accessories I added pearls, It's hard to see in the picture, but the snowflake garland is covered with glitters too - I told you there is a LOT of sparkle in this card. ;) Over the part of Marci's dress I went with Sakura Gelly Roll pen. I just love the shimmery look it gives. :)

The sentiment came with the stamp. I covered it with Stickles. The snowflake border is from Noor design.

I hope you like my today's card and that you will hop to the CRPI blog to see the creations my teamies made. They are a real treat for the eyes, trust me. :) Also, while you are there, don't forget to leave your info with Mr. Linky to be in a chance for the prize draw.

I'm wishing you a wonderful day. Big hugs to all of you! xx

Have a gorjuss birthday

Heya! Only 2 weeks til Christmas. Yay! I don't know about you, but to me days are just flying by. So much has been happening right now ... I've already sent out all of my Christmas cards. Looks like I've been extra productive this year as I still have some Christmas cards left (I think this is the first time something like this happened lol). I guess the ones I have left will be on stock for next year; it doesn't hurt to have a head start. ;)

But December in not just about Christmas. One of my sweet friends is having a birthday in December as well. :) I know she loves Gorjuss, so I made her a card using one of those cuties.

This image is called Gorjuss Ladybird. Isn't she adorable? I coloured her with distress inks. The flower paper is from my stash and the green paper is from Kaisercraft. Flowers, doily, ribbons, lace and pearl string are from my stash as well. Do you see those butterflies? I made those using the silicone molds and mod melts that I received from my friend (thanks so much girl!!). What a wonderful thing! I love how they turned out. I used one whole stick of mod melt just for making butterflies. No surprise there, huh? lol All of the dies I used are from Spellbinders. The oval behind the image was embossed with Cottage floral embossing folder by Craft concepts.

I hope you've been enjoying December so far and I wish you a wonderful day! :)

Birthday instead of Christmas

Hello, hello! December is here already. Yay! :D Many cities here are already decorated with Christmas lights and it's very beautiful. I'm planning to decorate the apartment over the weekend. Can't wait! :D Have you decorated your place yet?

Today I would like to show you a card I finished earlier today. I really wanted to participate in this week's challenge at The greeting farm blog, so I went creating. Unfortunately the weather here's been terrible lately (rainy, cloudy and foggy) so I couldn't take the best picture. Sorry about that! The other day I was trying to make a lightbox, but it was an epic fail so I still don't have it. But I know what I did wrong, so I might give it another try one day ...

Anyways, here's my card - something not Christmassy for a change. ;)

I decided to make a birthday card. I've had this pretty blue paper in my stash for ages and I thought it would be perfect for my card. I also used some leftover pieces of the glittery pink paper. I decorated the card with lots of flowers, crystals, doily, wooden butterflies that I received from my sweet friend, ribbon and bead string. For the center of each butterfly I used a pearl and for the centers of my flowers I used some brads that I've had in my stash for what seems like forever and some pearls. Image is adorable double cupcake Anya from TGF. I coloured her with Promarkers and Faber Castell pencils.

I hope you can see all the glitters on the cupcakes and Anya's hair accessory. Embossing behind Anya was done with Crafts-Too embossing folder.

So much from me today. Have a wondeful day!
Hugs! xx

Cute little snowmen

Hello my crafty friends. How are you doing today? Have you started decorating the house yet? I'm slowly gathering my Christmas decorations, but will start decorating the apartment next weekend. I can't wait! My favourite season is just around the corner. :)

last weekend my sweetie and I went on a trip to a city about one hour driving away from our place. We've never been there before so it was fun to do some exploring. We did some walking around, but also some shopping. I managed to get a few more Christmas gifts. I feel so organized getting them so early, because usually I'm leaving this to the very last moment.

So, since everything is about Christmas and December, let me show you a Christmas card as well.

A new challenge started at the Subar Bowl blog and as usually the theme is anything goes. The only requirement is that you use a Sugar Nellie stamp. And they have sooooo many cute ones that I am sure this won't be a problem. ;)

I've used the super cute snowmen stamp. Love, love, love them! Unfortunately this stamp is sold out, BUT you can get these cuties as toppers. How awesome is that?!

I did the colouring with distress inks and I added some diamond stickles on the white parts of the hat. The papers have been in my stash for what seems like forever (I can't even remember where I got them!!) and I'm really happy I finally put them to some use. All of the embellishments came from my stash as well. All around the paper edges I added golden glitter glue. I got the idea for this at Alberto's blog.

I would like to enter my card to the following challenges:

Some news and new challenge at Crafty ribbons

Hey, hey! :) Before I show you what I made for the new challenge at Crafty ribbons blog that started today I want to share some news with you.

I don't know if you've seen this, but I made it to the Whimsy DT. Yes, that's right, little old me made it. :D I'm sooooooo excited!!! I LOVE their stamps and dies so this is really a dream come true for me. :D Yaaahooo!!!! :D :D

Ok, now to the challenge ... As I've said before a new challenge started today at Crafty ribbons blog. Our theme is "animals at Christmas + ribbon". I know most of you have already started working on your Christmas cards so I hope many of you will come play with us.

On my card I used the adorable image from LOTV which I coloured with distress inks.

Green isn't my favourite colour so I don't use it often on my creations. Therefore I have quite some (leftover) green papers in my stash. I decided to use some of them on my card. Along with them I also used some leftover pieces of Prima papers. I inked all the papers with TH distress inks. I made poinsettias with LLLC dies. I wanted them to sparkle so I covered them with glitter glue. :) In the middle of each poinsettia I placed a pearl with golden sequin under it. Between different layers I glued some doilies and stars which I cut with my Xyron dies and then embossed with swiss dots embossing folder. The beautiful ribbon is from Crafty ribbons and you can find it here. It's not a typical Christmas ribbon, but I think this just shows you how versatile those ribbons that Ali carries in her store are. :)

I'm participating in a Christmas card swap at Kit and clowder FB group and this is the card I'm sending to my swap partner. I hope she will like it! :)

I would like to enter my card to the following challenges:

This is not so typical ...

Hello! How are you? Did you have a nice weekend? I had lots of fun. I did some Christmas shopping yeasterday and then went out for lunch with my sweetie. It was so much fun! :D I've already bought most of the Christmas presents, just need to buy 2 or 3 more. Have you done any Christmas shopping yet? Today I did some work stuff in the morning and then in the afternoon I had some friends over. It was lovely.

The card I am about to show you today is a little bit different - at least for me. Usually I make cute cards with a sweet stamped image, but I do like vintage and shabby chic style a lot too, so I thought I'd make a vintage card without a stamped image for a change. Yup, you heard that right. I haven't done any stamping on this card. I know, I know, I must have lost my mind. lol

The inspiration from this card came from my sweet friend Pamellia (most of the inspiration came from this gorgeous card she made). I absolutely love her shabby chic/vintage creations (trust me, she rocks them!). Her card is for breast cancer awareness so it's all pink (so beautiful!), but I decided to make a Christmas card. I took my My Mind's eye Christmas paper pad, chose some papers and went to work. And here's what I came up with ...

See, I told you there was no stamping. ;) Not even a sentiment. Sentiment is actually a rub-on "sticker" from Stampin' up! Season of cheer set that I've had in my stash for ages (literally).

I used some lace, a doily, some pins and some sequins on which I added a perl to decorate my card. I distressed the edges with scissors and inked them up with distress ink. Flower is made with LLLC poinsettia die.

I hope you like my today's card and I hope you got motivated to step out of your comfort zone every now and then too. ;)

Have a wonderful day! xx

Meet Sweetheart

Heya! How are you doing? I had a very busy, but also very nice day yesterday. I'm lucky to have some more free time today so I can relax a bit. I'm very much looking forward to the weekend, because I know Saturday will be amazing. :)

Did you that Whimsy stamps is having a DT call?  I was thinking real hard whether to apply or not, because I saw how many gorgeous creations are already entered in the call. But at the end I decided I would give it a shot and apply after all, because I really like their images and their dies. And now I'm keeping my fingers and toes crossed. :)

Here's the card I made for the call ...

I used Maja design papers and embellishments from my stash. The rolled flowers are handmade and the rest came from my stash. The ovals are spellbinders dies and the corner is a Whimsy die - you can get it here. The image is called Sweetheart and it's from Whimsy's Time for tea collection. I think this name suits her well, doesn't it? She's really cute and I had lots of fun coloring her. She's coloured with distress inks.

The cardstock behind the image was embossed with Anna Griffin's embossing folder and then I decorated it with some pearls. I raised the image on foam pads to give the card some dimension.

Have a wonderful day!
Hugs! xx

Happy 3rd birthday

Heya! :) Eeeek, it's November already. Can you believe it? Christmas will be here before we know it. What did you do on the spookiest night of the year? Did you go trick or treating? My sweetie carved a pumpkin, but that's as Halloween-ish as we went this year.

A friend of mine asked me if I could make a card for her daugher, who is celebrating her 3rd birthday at the beginning of November. The only wish she had was that I use an image with a girl that has lips (so no Tildas ;)). I went through my pile of stamps and found a Double Cupcake Anya from TGF that I thought would be perfect for a birthday card.

When I thought about what little girls (usually) like I thought about these things: glitters, flowers, fairies and butterflies. Well, there's no fairy here, but there are all the other things, especially glitters. Lots and lots of glitters. *ooops*

I coloured Anya with Promarkers and Faber Castell pencils. I also added glitters on her hair bow and parts of cupcakes and parts of her dress. Told you, there are glitters everywhere. lol I embossed the oval behind Anya with Cart-us embossing folder and then I inked the raised parts with my purple ink pad.

Flowers, crystals and bead string are from my stash and lace and buttons are from Crafty ribbons. Number 3 is a sticker.

Well, that's it from me today. Have a wonderful weekend! Hugs! xx

I'd like to enter my card to the following challenges:

Craft creations: Anyting goes
Crafty little fairies: Only one DP (the only DP I used is the swirly glittery one I used for the background; the one with writing is just a white cardstock on which I stamped with my old writting background stamp)

Warm winter hugs

Good morning! :) How are you doing? Are you redy for the spookiest night of the year? We were supposed to have a couple of friends over for dinner and chat, but I'm still not feeling well so we had to cancel. :( Even though I'm not a big fan of Halloween, I do like to get together with friends and chat a little. So I hope we'll soon have another chance to do so.

That being said, I might not like Halloween this much, but I LOVE Christmas. That's definitely my favourite time of the year. :) So I hope you are ready to see maaaany Christmas cards on this blog. ;) I'm about to show you one of them.

I made this card for the new challenge at the Sugar Nellie blog that started today. The theme is anything goes so you really have no excuse to play along. ;) Oh, you do need to use a SN image on your project though.

On my card I used one of my favourite SN images. I know they have maaaany cute ones, but there's just something about these adorable penguins that make me go all "awwww". I think I might have a thing about penguins ... You can buy this stamp here.

I coloured these cuties with distress inks and I added some Stickles on different parts of the image. I finally got to play with those gorgeous papers from DCVW that have been sitting in my cabinet for at least one year. *oooops* to decorate the card I used 2 different doilies, crystals, pearls cheese cloth and ribbons. All of these came from my stash. I raised the image on foam pads for some extra dimension.

Have a wonderful day! :) Hugs! xx

My first layout

Heya! Today I woke up in the middle of the night because I was caughing so hard and because my throat hurt very much. Then I realized that even that little bit of voice I still had yesterday was gone now. Eeeeek! Disaster!!! I barely had any energy and was more or less like a zombie today. A quiet zombie, I should add. I've been drinking lots and lots of tea today and hopefully things will start getting better. *fingers crossed* I'm just relieved that this didn't happen yesterday. I mean, even yesterday I didn't feel perfect and I did have a sore throat, but at least I had some voice and a bit more energy than I do today.

Yesterday I was at the art class with Anna Dabrowska (aka Finnabair). It was AWESOME! I learned a lot of stuff and had fun in the process. Anna is very nice and very down to earth person and she's full of great ideas and tips. I hope she will find a way to this little country again in the future because I want to go to some more classes. :)

At the class I was attending we were making a layout. It's my firs "real" layout and I loved every single minute of making it. Will definitely be making more. :) Here you can see it ...

I used a very old photo of me for this page. Then I embellished the layout with the stuff that were part of the kit we received at the class. More or less everything is from Prima. :)

As you can see I used lots of metal embellishments, but also pieces of lace and some flowers.

And another photo. :)

I fell in love with stenciling (I think it gives an amazing effect) and with buttons. Yes, you heard right, buttons. :D I realized hey can be very handy for decorating layouts, maybe even cards. Will definitely be using more of those.

Have a wonderful day! xx

Happy holidays

Hey, hey! :) It's my day off today. And tomorrow. And I don't have to go to work the next week either. Woohoo! :D I'm having sooooo many plans about what I'll be doing on my days off ... Right now I'm counting the days til Saturday. Why? Because on Saturday I'm taking a class with Anna Dabrowska (aka Finnabair). I'm SOOOO excited!!! I LOVE her work!!! I want to do some mixed media projects so when I heard that Anna is coming to this little country I had to book my seat at the class immediately. I'm sure I will learn tons of new things.

Other than that me and my sweetie are hosting a Halloween party this year (again). Nothing big, we're just having a couple of our friends over for dinner, chat ... Last year was fun so I hope this year it'll be fun as well. I still need to find some Halloween food ideas - will probably do some "googling" over the weekend.

By the way, have you visited the Crafty ribbons challenge blog today? Not yet? What are you waiting for then? ;) A new challenge just started and we would love to see many of you participate so come on, hop to the blog and link your creation. But make sure it either has a tag on it or that your creations is a tag, because that is the theme of our challenge - tags. And make sure you use some ribbon somewhere on your creation as well.

I don't make tags often, so this was quite a challenge for me, but I'm pretty happy with the result.

Some time ago I got a few decorative rectangle die cuts and I used one of those as a base for my tag. I've decided to make my tag in gold and white colour combination. I didn't use any design papers, but I did use a music notes stamps that I used to decorate the piece of cardstock which I used for the background. On the edges I also used some golden glitter glue. I was inspired to make my own paper by my sweet and super talented friend Pamellia. She always makes her own papers and they look amazing!!! Mine doesn't come even close, but hey, it's a start. :P

I used a lot of different die cuts on my card. They are from LLLC, Tim Holtz, Spellbinders, Memory box and Xyron. I embossed the golden circle behind the star with Anna Griffin's embossing folder. The star was cut from a white cardstock and then I used some golden glitters on the points (I did the same on the petals of poinsettia).

In the center of the star I glued a sentiment "Happy holidays". This is a clear stamp from Hobby Lobby. I embossed the stamped image with Ranger's embossing ink and then cut it out with my scissors. I raised the sentiment on foam pads to give the tag some dimension. Behind the flower I also used some beaded strings and at the end I randomly glued some sequins on the tag. I also used some white sheer satin ribbon from Crafty ribbons on which I sewed some square sequins I had in my stash.

I hope you were inspired to make a tag and that once it's done you will also upload it to our challenge at Crafty ribbons blog. We'd love to see what you made! :)

Hugs! xx
