Sending you fairy birthday wishes

Hello everybody! How are you doing? This week I got to visit some of my friends for the first time since the lockdown. It was soooooooo nice to sit down, enjoy the lovely meal and have a looong chat. I really missed this. Things are not completely back to normal yet and there are still safety measures in place, but at least we can go out, visit friends etc. Things we were taking for granted before the covid-19 situation.

Today I would liketo show you a card I made for my mom's birthday.

Don't you just love these adorable fairies from Mo Manning? I totally do. I mean, seriously, look at how cute they are! They always make me smile.

I had lots of fun colouring this cutie. :) I did the colouring with Faber Castell's polychromos.

I embelished the card with some flowers, pearls and sequins.

Have a beautiful day! xx

Thank you!

Hey, hey! How are you doing?

Today I want to show you a thank you card that I made for a friend of mine. She is an amazing person, one that you can always count on. And whenever I needed help she's been right here. I am very happy and blessed to have a friend like her. I can't want for the quarantine to be over so we can meet again for some chat and coffee and/or lunch. She's been helping me a lot with some stuff lately and I wanted her to know how grateful I am to her for everything she's been doing, so I made her this card.

I've been going over my stamps, but no matter which one I had in my hands, my mind kept going to this sweet Ellie with Dhalia from Wild rose studio. Call it fait or whatever you want, but I simply had to colour that one.

I wanted a bright and happy card, so I chose papers from one of my favourite paper packs from My mind's eye. Aren't they pretty?

I decorated the card with some lace and pearls. The sentiment is actually a sticker which I've had in my stash forever. I think it was one of the first things I bought back when I started crafting. So it really is very old.

So much from me today. Have a beautiful day! See you soon! :)

I'd like to enter my card to the following challenges:

Shabby chic birthday card

Hello there! How are you doing? Things are sloooooowly starting to go to the "new normal" here; things are about to reopen etc. But there are still many safety measures in place.

I made this card for my grandma's birthday. I was thinking hard which stamp to use on the card, but atthe end I decide to make a shabby chic card without the cute images. And this is the result.

The gorgeous papers I used for this card are from Lemoncraft. Between most of the layers I used a doubble sided sticky foam to create a bit of a 3D look and give the card a bit more dimension.

I distressed the edges of the papers and used some white gesso here and there. Between the layers I "tucked" a white paper doily.  I fussy cut the flowers from one of the sheets that came with the paper pad and layered them using the double sided adhesive foam. I printed the sentiment (it's in Slovenian and it means "happy birthday") and added it on the card. To complete the look I was going for I stamped some butterflies on the watercolour paper, coloured them with TH distress inks, fussy cut them and then glued them on the card. I finished the card by embellishing it with some lace and pearls.

Have a beautiful day! xx

Have fun today

Hello everybody! How are you doing? Good, I hope. We've been having rainy days here and I used those to go through my craft stash and do some "spring cleaning". I'm nowhere done yet, but at least I started. I've found quite a lot of things I forgot I had. *ooops* And I also found several stamped images that I never colured. Not sure why not. Hmmm... Well, I'm determined to colour those in the following weeks (months).

The first image from that pile I coloured is the one I used on the card I am about to show you. It's an adorable House Mouse image that is perfect for when you are making a birthday card.

I coloured the image with pencils and then used wink of Stella on the candles.

I'm determined to "shop in my stash" and use some of my old(er) craft supplies before I go crazy and order a whole lot of the new ones. For this card I've used some of the pretty K&Co papers that I've had in my stash since forever. I even used one of the stickers that came with the paper pad for the sentiment. Over the word "fun" I went with Wink of Stella, but unfortunately it's impossible to see the shimmer in the photos. It's very sparkly otherwise.

I embellished the card with some pearls, crystals and a paper doily.

So much from me today. I wish you a wonderful weekend! xx
