More than 2 ribbons

That's the theme of our current challenge at Crafty ribbons challenge blog. Another easy peasy one, right? I love layering ribbons on top of each other and I did this on the card I'm about to show you too. I was asked to make a traditional red Christmas card and that's what I came up with. I hope you like it!

I'm sorry the picture isn't the best, but with the yucky rainy and foggy weather we have here it's hard to get a good ligth for taking pictures.

I am using this Christmas tree stamp a lot this year on Christmas cards. I think it looks nice. :) See the brown paper? Once I received a package wrapped in this paper and saved it. I knew it would come handy one day. :) I did a lot of embossing on this card - I used 3 different embossing folders. The brown paper was embossed with Cuttlebug Fleur de lis embossing folder, the red paper from Provo craft was embossed with TH snowflake folder and the qhite piece of paper was embossed with Cuttlebug Swiss dots embossing folder. The Snowflakes are Marianne design dies. Both ribbons are from Crafty ribbons.

So much from me today. See you again real soon. :)
Hugs! xx

Christmas card with Michelle Perkett image

Aaaah, what a beautiful Sunday we have. The sun is shining, there's no clouds in the sky, it's not too cold outside ... Plus, I get to do some crafting. :) What more could I wish for?

The other day I made this card with Michelle Perkett digi stamp.

What do you think? Isn't the image just great? I colored it with Promarkers and Faber Castell pencils and on the white part of her dress I used diamond stickles. As you can see I didn't use and dp on this card, just some white and blue cardstock. I embossed the white cardstock I used for the background with TH snowflake embossing folder and the smaller piece of white cardstock was embossed with Cuttlebug swiss dots embossing folder. I then inked the dots with blue ink pad. The sentiment is in slovenian and it means "happy holidays". Around the image I stamped with different snowflake stamps. The small snowflakes are made with my craft punch. In the center of the snowflakes and in the bottom of the card I made small dots using my Viva decor pearl pen. Behind the image I used doily lace, which I inked with the blue ink pad and in the upper right corner I used some blue gems from my stash. I also added this gorgeous snowflake ribbon from Crafty ribbons.

Another blue Christmas card

Heya! How are you all doing? Enjoying the weekend? I sure am. :) We finally got some sun, which is great. I have enough of rain and foggy and rainy days (even though I know that's what's supposed to be in November). I've been doing some baking today. In the morning I baked a bread and then in the afternoon I made oatmeal and chocolate cookies. They were sooooooo good! I don't know why I'm not making them more often.

I also managed to do some crafting - I made another Christmas card. :) How are you doing with Christmas cards? Have you made all that you need yet? I keep on working on them, but I don't seem to get any closer to the number I need. *sigh*

Surprisingly I didn't use a stamped image for the center of my card. I just stamped the sentiment ("vesele praznike" - this means "happy holidays" in slovenian) and behing the poinsettia I stamped with Stampabillities' Faded text background stamp. The blue dp is from Sizzix and I embossed it with TH snowflakes embossing folder. The grey dp is from Sizzix too and the glittery paper is from my stash. The big and the middle nowflakes are Marianne designs die and so is the poinsettia. The small snowflakes were made with my craft punch. Doily and gems are from my stash and the ribbon is from Crop Stop.

Have fun and see you again soon! :)

Hugs! xx

Gold Christmas

Hey there! How are you? I've not been feeling wel the last couple of days; I think I might be catching a cold. :S But my sweetie went to the pharmacy today and bought me some things that should help - according to the lady at the pharmacy I should be as good as new in a day or 2. I hope she's right.

Do you believe we are almost at the end of November? Where did the time go?! O.o Christmas will be here before we know it. I don't know about you, but I LOVE Christmas and I LOVE receiving Christmas cards. So I've been wondering if any of you would be interested in doing a Christmas card swap (sort of). Basically this just means we would send each other Christmas cards. :) If you'd like to do this, feel free to write me an e-mail of just post a comment here. :)

And now on to my card ... I've been working on some more Christmas cards lately and today I will show you one of them.

I have been doing a lot of embossing lately - I just love the effect. This Christmas tree has been embossed with Queen's gold embossing powder from Ranger. The dp I used in the background is from Folia. On the white piece of cardstock I used to behind the ribbon I stamped with several different snowflake stamps. Then I just added some ribbon (the stars are from the ribbon as well) and lace to decorate my card. All the ribbons are from Crafty ribbons and so is the lace.

Well, that's all from me for today. Will be back soon with a new card. :)

Hugs! xx

Nursery rhymes

Hello, hello! How are you? I'm still tired from all the walking yesterday - thank goodness that weekend is just around the corner. :)

Today I want to show you a card that I made for the current challenge at Crafty ribbons - for those of you who don't know, the theme of our challenge is "nursery rhymes". I must admit that this challenge was anything but an easy one for me. I had absolutely no idea what to make. At the end I made this card, for which the inspiration was "Twinkle, twinkle little star". I'm sorry because the picture is so bad, but the light just wasn't on my side - it was always too dark when I wanted to take a picture so I had to take it with flash. And when I did this, the colours of the card were washed away - the card looked horrible. So at the end I scanned the card and did some photoshop magic on it after. It's still not good, but the best that I could come up with. Hopefully I can get some better light tomorrow so that I can retake the picture.

Anyways, enough babbling, here's the card I'm talking about ...

I used this cute image from LOTV and colored it with Faber Castell pencils and Promarkers. Around the image I stamped with different snowflake stamps. For the snow on the window, snowflakes and the white part of Millie's hat I used diamond Stickles. For the red part of the holly I used red glitter glue. The dp was a freebie in a magazine a couple of years ago and doily is from my stash. These gold stars are from Crafty ribbons (you can find them here) and so is the satin ribbon (you can find it here).

I hope you'll come play with us. I can't wait to see your creations. :) Hugs! xx

Star shaped box/ornament

Hi there! Today is my last day off. I can't believe how fast time is flying when you are having fun. I've done quite some crafting this week (mainly Christmas items) and I've been having a great time. One of the things I've made is also this Christmas box/ornament.

Last year around Christmas I saw Raffaello (you know, that yummy coconut candy)  in a pretty star-shaped box and I "had to" buy it - mainly because I wantedo to get the template for that box, but I didn't mind having some Raffaellos either. lol So, once the Raffaellos were gone, I took the box apart to get the template. And now, after almost one whole year (shame on me! lol), I finally made a box using that template. Is was so easy and so much fun to do! And with this sweet Tilda I think it makes a lovely Christmas ornament too. What do you think? I'm planning to make small soaps (IF I manage) to give out as Christmas gifts to the women in my family and they would fit perfectly in this box. But if I run out of time (this could easily happen since I'm often leaving everything til the very last minute *blush*) I'll just fill this box/ornament with some yummy candy. I'm sure no one would mind this eaither. :P

I made the star box/ornament out of white cardstock over which I stamped with different snowflake stamps. For the main image I used the cute angel Tilda swamp which I colored with Promarkers and later did the shading with Fabe Castell pencils. I know it's hard to see in the picture, but on Tilda's wings I added some diamond SticklesThe ribbon is from my stash. Those tiny stars were made with a sizzix die. In the middle of each of them I added a "pearl" using my Viva decor pearl pen. I also used Spellbinders circle and scalloped circle and Parisian accents dies.

I hope you like my today's project. :) Hugs! xx

I'd like to enter my project to the following challenges:

Santa

Good morning! What a yucky, yucky day we have here. It's dark outside and it's been raining heavily. :S I don't like it. It's one of those days when I want to just stay in bed, drink tea and watch TV. Thinking of it now I'm wondering why I DID get up. Hmmmm ...

Anyways, I want to show you a card that I made for the midway reminder at Crafty ribbons challenge blog.  And don't forget, we are still having a DT call (be sure to check the rules if your wantto apply). :)

I made this card using some papers from Scrapworks' Formal affair paper pack and red cardstock. The Santa image is from Recollections and I embossed it with Queen's gold embossing powder by Ranger. The ribbon is from Crafty ribbons - it's an embossed velvet ribbon and you can find it here. The corners are Spellbinders dies and I used my Viva decor pearl pen to make dots. The crystals are from my stash.
