Kirsty-Anne's sketch

Heya! A short while back Kirsty-Anne asked me if I wanted to be a guest designer for The sketchy challenges and of course I said yes. :)

We have a wonderfuly sketch for you this forthnight ...

And here's my take on the sketch.

A friend of mine asked me to make a card for her daughter who will be 3 years old and that's that I came up with. I thought this adorable Marci from LLLC will be perfect for a card for a 3-year-old. And of course I had to add flowers and butterflies too. And lots of pink. lol

I coloured the image with distress inks and added some glitter glue on Marci's hair accessories and on parts of her dress. Balloon is paper pieced. I found a sheet of peel-off number stickers among my stash and glued no. 3 on the balloon. The papers are from Wild rose studio. Aren't they pretty? I am running out of them so I think I will have to do some shopping. :) I found this gorgeous big doily in Rayher the other day. The bead string trim is from Crafty ribbons. Pearls, flowers and lace came from my stash. I raised Marci and sentiment on foam pads to give card some dimension.

I hope you will come play with us. :)
Hugs! xx

2 Magnolias

Good morning! TGIF!!!! This week was super hectic for me so I'm really happy it's over. Now I need some "me time". I got myself an easy-to-read book (meaning: typical chick lit) and when I visited a craft store earlier this week I bought some new things which I now need to try. So you can imagine what my weekend will be like. :) He he.

Some time ago a sweet Lacey from Stamp and create asked me if I wanted to be a guest designer for their Stamp and create with Magnolia challenge. Of course I said yes. :) The challenge was to use 2 Magnolias (either 2 different Magnolia stamps, a Magnolia stamp with 2 characters ...). And here's my take on the challenge.

Yes, another Christmas card. ;) I decided to use 2 different Magnolia stamps - Magic Christmas ornaments and Flying angel Tilda. I did all the coloring with distress inks and I covered the Christmas ornaments and Tilda's wings with glitter glue. Papers are from Papermania. Pearls, crystals and ribbons came from my stash. Those little stars were made with my craft punch. The white cardstock circle behind Tilda was embossed with Cuttlebug's swiss dots embossing folder.

Have a wonderful day! Hugs! xx

I'd like to enter my card to the fillowing challenges:
Sketch and stash: Sketch

Anything but a card

Hey hey! It's Thursday again. And you know what that means, right? Yup, it means that we have a new fun challenge for you at Crafty ribbons. :D This week we want you to make anything but a card. So put on your thinking cap and think of what you want to make. I've decided to make an origami box to give away to a friend of mine for Easter.

This box has been on my "things to try" list for a while and now I've actually come around and made it. :) You can find the tutorial here.

The beautiful papers are from Sandylion's Disney paper pad. Flowers, butterfly, doily and pearls are from my stash. Pink ribbon and lace are from Crafty ribbons.

Once the box was finished I filled it with chocolate eggs. Yum yum! :)

I hope you like my box and that you'll come play with us.
Hugs! xx

I'd like to enter my box to the followin challenges:

Bunny hop - last day

Good morning! Did you have a nice Sunday I sure hope you did! I had a nice time and I ate a looot of yummy food.

It's the last day of our bunny hop at Crafty ribbons. One of the ladies from the DT that are participating in today's hop have a bunny hidden on their blog and one lucky person, who will leave a comment on that blog will win a yummy prize that the bunny left there. So be sure to leave a comment on all DT posts as well as on the main blog. Also, some of the ladies from the DT have ribbon prizes on their blogs as well, so you really don't want to miss that.

You should have arrived here from Anke. But if you just started the hop or you got lost in the way, you can find all the stops from the hop on the Craty ribbons inspiration blog.

Since the last couple of days has been all about the bunnies (and eggs) I decided to make a project with a bunny too.

I got this idea from Pinterest some time ago. Isn't it too cute? I love this bunny and his big fluffy tail. He he. This project was really simple. The last time I was in Ikea I bought a set of white frames and I altered one for this project. A friend of mine kindly die cut some of these florals for me so I could use them on my project. The bunny's tail is a pom-pom which I made. The butterflies are cut from the gorgeous butterfly ribbon that you can find in the Crafty ribbons store.

Your next stop is Marianne's blog.

Bunny hugs to all of you! xx

Bunny hop - day 3

Hey hey! First of all I'm sorry for not being the best blogging buddy right now. I've been covered with work so my free time is very limited. I promise to do some blog hopping as soon as the things settle down a bit.

However, despite the busy scheddule at work, I took last Saturay (April 12) off. I really needed to have a fun and relaxing day. And that's exactly what I had. Last weekend there was a chocolate festival in one of the towns in my country. And I wasn't going to miss it. I mean, seriously, miss all that chocolate?! Wasn't gonna happen. ;) It was a fantastic day and I got to taste sooooo much different chocolates and chocolate deserts. Yum, yum, yum! It was awesome! Definitely something I want to attend next year again.

Anyways, it's Easter Sunday soday so let me wish you all a very happy Easter. I hope the Easter bunny hid some (chocolate) eggs for you and maybe even left you one or two crafty thingies. ;) Do you have any special traditions for Easter? At my family, we've always been having Easter breakfast at my grandma's house. And it's the same this year. And later today me and my sweetie are having lunch at my parents' (this is not a tradition though). So I am having a lovely day with my loved ones. Just as it should be for holidays, right?

Also, did you know that we are having a bunny hop at Crafty ribbons? The DT is showing some wonderful creations and we also have prizes. :) So hop over to the Crafty ribbons inspiration blog and check what my teamies made. Plus, feel free to leave your details with Mr. Linky if you want to win some goodies.

My today's project isn't Easter related, but I hope you like it anyways. I decided to alter one of the mini notepads that I bought quite some time ago.

To alter this notepad I used scraps of papers from my stash and 3 different ribbons from Craft ribbons - baby ribbon - 3 mm pearl pink, baby ribbon sheer dots/apple and 25 mm sheer ribbon. The butterfly is an Inkadinka stamp. I used my punches for the border and smaller flowers and the bigger flower and flourishes were die cut.

Bunny hugs to you! xx

Simon says - Monday challenge: Winged things

Angels we have heard on high

Heya! How are you doing? Have you had a good week so far? Mine's been very busy so I'm really looking forward to the weekend. Not only because I can relax a bit, but also because I am going to the chocolate festival (if it's not raining that is). For a chocoholic like me that'll be like heaven on earth. He he.

Some time ago I made this Christmas card, using a sweet Flying angel Tilda.

I really like red, white and gold colour combination, but for some reason I don't use it very often. However, I think it's perfect for Christmas cards. I've had this corrugated cardstock and the gold cardstock (the one I used for decorative borders) in my stash for what seems like forever so I'm really happy I put them to some use. The pretty cardstock with stars is from Folia. The white piece of cardstock which I used behind the image was embossed with Anna Griffin's embossing folder. See the red gifts behind the image? That's actually a trim/ribbon, which my sweetie bought me around Christmas. It's from Folia. The pom-pom ribbon and gold thread came from my stash. I used Nellie Snellen dies for the stars. The music paper is from my early teen years, when I was going to music school. I still have quite some of the music sheets left and they come really handy when I'm making cards. He he. The string of gold gems was cut from a gold mesh that I had in my stash. The buttons are from Crafty ribbons.

I would like to enter my card to the following challenges:
Tilda's town: Clean and layered or fussy and fancy
Marvelous Magnolia: Ribbon or bow

Welcome spring

Heya! I hope you are fine and that you've been enjoying your week so far. I've been pretty busy with work, but I had some "me time" as well. On Saturday morning I went to the hairdresser and had my hair shorten - quite a bit if I may add. It's a big change, but I'm happy with the new haircut. I wonder why it took me so long to get  to the hairdresser! I was supposed to go to a school dance on Saturday evening (that's why I made the appointment at the hairdresser at the first place), but I got some terrible news just a couple of days ago (my dear friend lost a battle to leukemia), so I stayed at home.

On a happier note, the spring has finally come which means there are many sunny days ahead, the flowers are blooming, days are longet etc. Gotta love spring! So I decided to make a spring card for the "anything goes with ribbon" challenge that just started at Crafty ribbons blog.

I inked this adorable Tilda and coloured her with Promarkers. Around the image I stamped with Arty stamp from Kaisercraft and sprinkled some gold embossing powder.

Some flowers are from Wild orchid crafts and the rest are from my stash. Doily and pearls are from my stash as well. Papers are from Wild rose studio. The big butterfly is a Cheery Lynn die and the small butterflies were made with my craft punch. The ribbon is from Crafty ribbons - you can find it here.

I hope you will come play with us!
Have a wonderful day!
Hugs! xx
