Back in the Blogland

Hello everybody! How are you doing? I hope the COVID-19 situation is not too bad where you live and that you are staying safe.

I can't believe it's been so long since my last post. I didn't intend to take a break from blogging, but I have to admit it felt good to not stress about posting, commenting etc. Or creating. I really think that break was a good thing for me - I focused more on other things and put paper crafting on break.

A lot has happened since my last post. And I mean A LOT. The biggest change is definitely my new job, which I really enjoy. Then there are also other things, but I won't bore you with those.

Even with everything that's been going on I did some crafting. Not so much, because I kept myself busy with other things, but I did some. I will show you my creations over the next weeks.

The first "after-the-break" card I want to show you is this one.

I love this "Divine" stamp from Penny Black. It took me a while to get it on a card, but I eventually did.

I coloured the image with pencils and cut it out. I used Maja Design papers on this card. I embellished the card with some butterfly sequins and pearls.

So much for today. have a beautiful day. And stay safe! xx

I'd like to enter my card to the following challenges:
Penny Black and more: Anything goes
Allsorts: Flowers and/or showers
Your next stamp: Stripes
Craft-alnica: Fussy cut
Cardz TV: Anything goes

Have a roaring great time

Hi everybody! I hope you are doing well! It's pretty busy here right now but by the end of June everything should calm down. We just need to get through this month.

A new challenge just started at The sketchy challenges blog and this month we'd like to see ribbon, lace or twine on your creations. Easy peasy, right? :)

I made a birthday card.

I finally got to ink this adorable lion from Clearly besotted. And the sentiment is perfect too, isn't it? It made me smile. :) I coloured the image with Faber Castell polychromos, fussy cut it and raised it on foam pads for some dimension. Papers and lace are from my stash. Besides lace I also used some crystals to decorate.

I hope you will come play with us this month.

Have a beautiful day! xx

Happy birthday

Hi everybody! How are you? I've been busy baking in the last couple of days, but now I will be able to rest a bit.

We are already half-way throught the current challenge at The sketchy challenges blog. This month we want to see your creations based on this sketch.

Here's the card I made...

I made the stripes with golden glittery washi tape and then I just added a layer of beautiful DCWV patterned paper. I've had the big flower in my stash for quite a while and I thought it would look well on the card. To decorate the card I also used some golden stamens and white berries.

I hope you will come play with us.
Have a beautiful day! xx

Wake up and enjoy today

Hey, hey! How are you doing? Are you enjoying the spring? We have the strangest weather here. Last week it was so warm that we could ALMOST walk around in short sleeves, but then we got a mix of snow and rain on Saturday. Crazy, I'm telling you. Hopefully by the end of this week spring will be back in full swing.

I don't do a whole lot of paper crafting at the moment and even what I do is mostly just for DT. But I saw there was currently a Spring/summer Coffee lover's blog hop going on at Coffee loving cardmakers blog and I really wanted to participate, so I brought out my pretty papers and stamps and played a little. :)

To make this card I used a scrap of this bright MME patterned paper and stamps from The greeting farm (Perk up stamp set). I coloured the images with Faber Castell polychromos. To decorate the card I just used a couple of silver sequins.

I wish you a wonderful day! xx

I'd like to enter my card to the following challenges:
SugarPea designs: Mix it up challenge 55 (I chose sketch)

Use a tag

Hello everybody! Spring has sprung. We've had a beautiful sunny week and I for one can say I am very glad that warmer days are here. I'm all ready to get rid of winter clothes.

A new challenge started at The sketchy challenges blog and this month we want to see tags on your cards/creations. I made some simple thank you favors.

These are really easy to make and I think they look pretty cute. :) I used Spellbinders die for the tags and a The greeting farm stamp for the sentiment.

I hope you will come play with us this month. xx

Dragon wishes coming your way

Hello everybody! I'm here today to show you a card I made for the challenge reminder at The sketchy challenges blog. This month we want you to create something based on this sketch.

I made a card for my mom's birthday.

I know my moms likes these cute dragons from CC Designs so I decided to use them on my card. :) I coloured the dragons with polychromos.

These dragons reminded me of the new (last!) season of Game of thrones that is about to come out. Are you going to watch it. Are you a GOT fan? I haven't read the books, but I did watch the series. It's my husband who is a fan and I actually started watching the series because of him. I got sucked right in and now I can't wait for the last season; I'm curious what the ending will be. lol

Sentiment is from Whimsy stamps. The papers I used are from My mimd's eye. I didn't use any embellishments on this card (shocking, I know lol), but I did use different dies to make card more "fun".

I hope you will come play with us. Click here to go directly to the challenge post. :)

Have a great day! xx

I'd like to enter my card to the following challenges:
Cardz TV: Anything goes
Word art Wednesday: Anything goes
Sugar Pea Designs: Mix it up challenge 53 (I was inspired by colours)
Your next stamp: Patterned paper

To my daughter... I LOVE YOU

Hello everybody! How are you doing? I've been pretty busy lately; spending time with my lil one, learning french etc. What's the weather like where you live? Do you have any snow? We do, quite a lot of it actually. I wonder all this white stuff was for Christmas when I actually wanted it... It really has a terrible timing. *sigh* But I will admit that nature looks nice all covered with snow. :)

So, the "love month" is here. Do you have any plans for Valentine's day? Do you do anything special on that day with your other half? I will be honest, I don't really do Valentine's day. I like to surprise my hubby with little things on random days through the year, not "just" on Valentine's day. Therefore I don't really do any Valentine's day crafty projects. So when I saw that the theme of this month's challenge at The Sketchy Challenges blog is Love/Valentine's day I started thinking what to do. Lucky for me a very, very special person celebrate's her birthday this month. My sweet little girl who I LOVE with all my heart is turning three later this month. I can't believe how fast these 3 years have gone by.

For this challenge I made a card for my birthday girl.

When I was thinking about what image to use for my card I knew I wanted something sweet. Preferably a little girl with a toy of some sort. And this adorable Sweet friends Marci from La La Land Crafts was perfect. My lil girl also has a panda toy and loves playing with it, so score! :D

Seriously, isn't this image just too cute? I really like it. A lot! I coloured the image with Faber Castell Polychromos and then carefully fuzzy cut it and raised it on foam pads to get some dimension.

I decorated the card with all of my favourite embellishments - lace, pearls and lots of beautiful flowers from I am roses.

I can't wait to see your Valentine's/Love projects, so do come play with us at The Sketchy Challenges. :)

Hugs! xx
