Whimsy April release hop - day 1

Welcome to Day 1 of our ...
April Rubber Stamp and Die Release

Over the next 3 days we will reveal 15 *BRAND NEW* red rubber stamps/stamp sets. They will be available to buy from the Whimsy Stamps store and from selected Whimsy Stamps retailers on Wednesday.

Today we are excited to show you the brand new  Crissy Armstrong, Time for Tea Designs, Lizzy Love and Denise Lynn.

I made a mini card for today. And it's a CAS one too. I know, hard to believe. ;)

At first I was thinking about making a tag, but I changed at the very last minute so I made a mini card instead. Perfect way to use those scraps of papers you have in your stash - and that's exactly what I did. :)

I used the new image from Lizzy Love. It's called Millie's big game. It comes with the sentiment I used on my card.

PRIZE ALERT ... We have hidden a fabulous prize of a $15 GIFT CERTIFICATE at one of the stops on today’s hop! We will draw the lucky winner from the comments left here and on today’s design team posts (listed below), so be sure to visit everyone and leave a comment at every stop to be entered into the draw.

Fluttering by

Hey, hey! :) How are you doing? I'm enoying the beautiful sunny weekend we are having here. It's getting warmer and warmer days are long again. Love it! I've already seen some people wearing t-shirts yesterday. Ummmm ... It's not SO warm just yet in my opinion (actually, it could be, if it wasn't windy), but it'll soon be. Can't wait!

Today I'd like to show you a new card that I made. it was inspired by the beautiful spring days, so you will see bright colours, butterflies and flowers. :)

See, I told you. ;) I thought these gorgeous papers from Authentiqu would be perfect for my card. I also used some white and kraft cardstock and several different embellishments. Pearls, flowers and doilies came from my stash and the ribbons came from Crafty ribbons

I really like this image from TGF. It's called Flutter Anya and I think it's so darn cute! I coloured her with Promarkers and Faber Castell pencils. I covered the wings with glitter glue. You know me - I love my glitter glue. ;)

I cut the image out with my scissors and placed it on foam pads for some extra dimension.

Well, that's it for today. See you again tomorrow. :) Have a beautiful day!
Hugs! xx

Happy spring!

Hey hey! How was your Easter? Did you have a nice time? Did Easter bunny bring you any yummy chocolate eggs? On Sunday we went to my grandparents for breakfast and to my parents for lunch. It was lovely. Then yesterday we had a nice and calm day at home (yesterday was a holiday here as well). The weather yesterday was the stranges I've ever seen. It was changing every 5 minutes - literally. First it was sunny, then all of the sudden it started raining, then sun again, then snow!!!, then sun again ... Crazy, I'm telling you!

Well, at least that gave me a good excuse to go to my craft corner and do some crafting. Here's what I made.

It's another gift bag. :) I used papers from Authentique and Folia and the cute Skunk with rose image from Whimsy stamps. I did the colouring with distress inks. The butterflies were cut with Whimsy butterfly border die and the flowers, doilies and pearls came from my stash. For the handles I used a beautiful gold stain ribbon from Crafty ribbons. You can get it from the value bag or ribbon pack. Both of those are available at amazing price so be sure to check them out.

And here's also the side view.

I hope you have a wonderful day ahead of you!
Hugs! xx

Fairy Lily

***If you are looking for the Crafty ribbons Bunny hop please click here.***

Heya! I'm back with another card. 2 card on the same day - definitely not something that happens often on my blog. ;)

I was invited to be a guest designer at ArtbyMiran challenge blog and of course I gladly accepted the invitation, because I really like their images. I got to play with the sweet Fairy Lily image and here's the card I made with it.

I've used lots of scraps of paper that I've had in my stash for a while. Flowers, doily and pearls came from my stash and ribbons are from Crafty ribbons.

Isn't this image cute?

I did the colouring with Promarkers and Faber Castell pencils. On the wings I used some glitter glue. I have to admit that I was a bit scared of how will I colour this cutie - especially the hair seemed extra scary to me. But I was happy with the result at the end. :)

I hope your day is filled with sunshine!
Hugs! xx

Bunny hop

Hey hey! Easter is just around the corner so we at Crafty ribbons decided to do something fun for you. And so we have a bunny hop. :D There are 12 stops and you will find a letter at each stop. You need to collect those letters and mix them up a little so you will get the name of this cutie.

The hop will run til Friday, 10 April.

You should have arrived here from La Vikinga's blog. She had some gorgeous projects to show you, didn't she?

Here's what I made for the hop ...

It's a gift bag in which you can either put some Easter goodies or something else. I used papers from Authentique and a sweet "Springtime" image from Whimsy stamps. I did the colouring with distress inks. The ribbons came from Crafty ribbons. Dies are from Spellbinders and Nellie Snellen. I decorated the top of the bag with my craft punch.

Now you should hop to Laura's blog and check what she made. But before I let you go I need to tell you my letter ... My letter is M. Now go and see what Laura made. :)

HAPPY EASTER!!!

Easter treat bag

Hello there! I'm here again with another project. And it's something else for a change, not a card. ;) I apologize for the bad quality of the pictures, but this project was finished around 6 pm yesterday and as you can imagine the light was not very good at that time anymore. But I want to share my creation with you anyways.

I made a treat bag to give away as an Easter present. What do you think? Do you like it? I used pink cardstock for the base and then I decorated the bag with some patterned paper from Folia. I "decorated" the top with my border punch. In the middle of the bag I made a hole with my die so you can see what's inside - lots of yummy chocolate eggs. :D The image is from The greeting farm and ribbon is from Crafty ribbons.

I also punched out a butterfly and added 2 pearls at the bottom to decorate my bag.

So much from me today. See you again tomorrow!
Hugs! xx

The Earth has music

Happy April Fool's day! :D Be careful who you trust today. Call me boring, but I don't really like April fool's day pranks. I don't do them and I am extremly happy if I manage to get away from being pranked as well.

So, trust me I'm telling the truth when I say I have a new card to show you. ;) I was asked to be a guest designer at Words 2 scrap by challenge and I gladly accepted. Those ladies are very nice and I am grateful they let me join them for this challenge. :) The theme of the challenge is "The Earth Has Music" and to be honest I wasn't really sure what to make when I saw the theme. But then I remembered I still had that beautiful birdie picture somewhere and I thought it would be perfect for this challenge. And here's what I came up with ...

Now, isn't this birdie beautiful? I've had it in my stash for ages (and I can't for the life of me remember where I got it), but I don't often use pre-coloured images on my creations, so it was sitting in my drawer for a looong time. But I just knew that one day it would come handy. ;)

I used some beautiful papers from Magnolia and Authentique and I embellished the card with pearls, doily, flowers, gems and ribbon from Crafty ribbons. The music notes were stamped with Kaisercraft stamp. Embossing was done with Cuttlebug's Swiss dots embossing folder and die-cutting was done with Spellbinders dies.

Have a beautiful sunny day!
Hugs! xx
