Shabby chic box

Hello there! Phew, I finally have some blogging time again. These last 2 weeks have been super hectic at work, but now things are calming down. I'm really looking forward to the weekend to get some rest. I'm not sure wherthere Ill go somewhere or I'll just stay at home, but I know I will relay. I've already paid a visit to the library to get some chic lit. :)

During these last couple of weeks I barely get to do any crafting, but still, I managed to finish this box that I want to show you today. I hope you like it!

I got this image from a friend of mine and I thought it would be perfect for this box. It's a Magnolia stamp. I coloured the image with distress inks. The papers I used for making this card came from Scrapworks' Formal affair 12x12 paper pad. I think this was my first ever pad of scrapbooking paper I bought. :) 

I inked the edges with TH distress ink. All of the embellishments came from my stash. I made the small cream rolled flowers myself and the other flowers are store bought.

I don't know what I'll do with this box yet, but I think it's always good to have one or two of those on hands for those "emergency" times. :) I really enjoyed making it though. It was nice to make something different from a card for a change.
