Good morning. A new week just started so it seemed appropriate that I post a new card on my blog as well. It's another Christmas card that I made a short while ago. However, this one is a bit more vintage than the previous one.

I got the inspiration for this card from Tina. I love her style. All her projects are always so detailed and have this vintage feel. Love them! So if you haven't visited Tina's blog yet, you might want to stop by to see some shabby gorgeousness.

But enough babbling, let me rather show you my card ...

Earlier this year I got my hands on this gorgeous Vintage Christmas stamp set from Stempelglede that I've been wanting for a looong time. And now I have it thanks to one very sweet person. Yay! :D The image I used on this card is from this stamp set. Papers are from my stash. I sprinkled some embossing powder around the paper as well (see corners/edges). From behind the bow you can also see peeking some bead strings. Those are from my stash. And so is the doily that's peeking from behind the image.

I also used lots of lace and ribbons from my stash on my card. Sequins and pearls came from my stash as well.

One of my favourite ribbons is a tan satin ribbon from Crafty ribbons. I used it to make this big bow for the card. In the center of the bow I glued the foam heart that I've had in my stash for ages.

In the left upper corner I added some wooden snowflakes and a crochet embellishment.

Is it too early for Christmas cards?

I guess you could answer with yes or no. I mean, it's only March so Christmas is still faaaaar away, but at the same time, making all the Christmas cards in November/December never really worked out for me. So for me it's definitely better to start working on Christmas cards early, even if this means March. I've made a couple of those in the last week or so, but I won't show you all at once (I know, I know, I'm bad; he he :P). Today I'd like to show you a Tilda Christmas card.

I used the adorable Flying angel Tilda image for the center of my card and coloured her with distress inks. 

The papers are from Magnolia and Folia. I used lots of lace and ribbon on this card. They all came from my stash. The found the bead string I used around the image at the wedding department in one of the stores the other day. Pearls and feathers are from my stash. 

I used LLLC poinsettia dies for the flowers, Spellbinders scalopped circle and circle dies and Sizzix die for the small snowflake that I put in the center of my bow.

New heights

Hey hey! Do you also have the feeling that weekends are very short? They are gone before I know it! I hope you at least had a nice one. I enjoyed every single minute. :) On Friday I gought a new laptop and I put it to test this weekend. ;) So far it's looking good. It's definitely much faster than my old one.

My mum had her birthday in February and my dad bought her something she's been wanting for a while - Sizzix Big Shot starter set. And that gave the rest of us lots of other options for gifts as well (you know you can never have enough dies, embossing folders etc.). Ever since she got her new "toy", she's been hooked to her craft space. He he. The other day she did some more shopping and one of the things she bought was this adorable Gorjuss stamp which she kindly let me borrow so I could use this cutie on my card as well.

The image is pretty big/tall (taller than I anticipated), so I cut some of the books off. As usually I did the coloring with distress inks. Lace and yellow trim are from Webster's pages and flowers and other embellishments came from my stash. Papers are from Prima. Butterflies are an Inkadinkado stamp. I just coloured them with distress inks and cut them out with m scissors. The decorative oval is Spellbinders die and the corner is Whimsy die.

Ribbons and bows

Happy Thursday! Not long now for the weekend. Are you looking forward to it? I am. :) I'm planning to go to the movie, watching the new 300 movie. I hope it'll be good.

Here's the card I made for the challenge ...

I am not the biggest fan of green, so I don't use it often on my cards/projects, but I wanted to do something a bit different this time. I've had those papers in my stash for quite a while so I thought it would be nice to actually put them to some use. ;) The image is from Sugar Nellie. Isn't she adorable? I coloured her with distress inks.

A friend of mine let me borrow her Memory box butterfly die so I could make some butterfly die cuts. In the center of each butterfly I put a transparent pearl. The bigger flower is Marianne design die and the yellow flowers are from my stash. For the center of the bigger flower I used a button from my stash. Gems and doilies are from my stash as well. I used 2 diffent ribbons on this card - a 25 mm grosgrain ribbon and vintage butterflies ribbon - french creme. I love the vintage butterflies collection - it includes lots and lots of beautiful vintage ribbons.

Happy Wednesday! :) I hope you've been enjoying your week so far. Mine's been pretty good. Yesterday it was Fat Tuesday and I really enjoyed seeing people dressed up in all those costumes; some costumes were really good!

I didn't dress up, but I was being creative in my own way - with papers. ;) I made this card ...

I received these beautiful papers from a friend of mine (thank you sweetie!). The image I used is a sweet Marci from LLLC. I coloured her hair and skin with distress inks. The balloon, dress, shoes and hair accessories were paper pieced. All of the dies I used on this card (decorative square behing Marci, swirls and flowers) are from Marianne design. Small flowers in the corners were made with craft punch and I put a crystal in the center of each of them. For the center of the bigger flowers I used golden brads from my stash. The white piece of cardstock was embossed with Anna Griffin's embossing folder (Acanthus). I also used a 25 mm grosgrain ribbon from Crafty ribbons.

Birthday card for a friend

Woohoo, it's weekend time!!! :D And it's a special one in my country, because it's time for Mardi Gras. This weekend we have carnivals all over the country and there are lots of events for kids as well. People (mostly kids) dress up in costumes and go out. There are even prizes for the best costume(s). It's really fun and interesting to see how creative some people are. We even have special deserts we eat during this time. We make "krofi" (our version of doughnuts) amd "flancati". Yum! My mum usually makes those and they are de-li-cious!!! She'll be making some for Fat Tuesday and I've already told her I wouldn't mind if she made some extra and dropped them here. He he. ;P

Not too long ago my friend celebrated her birthday and I want to show you a card I made for her (she's already received it, so it's safe to do so). Sorry in advance because the pictures aren't the best.

I know she likes Tilda, so I chose this cutie for the main image of my card. I coloured Tilda with distress inks. Papers, ribbon, doily and pearls all came from my stash. "Happy birthday" is a G Studio stamp. I used my craft punch for the butterflies.
