Birthday card for a friend

Woohoo, it's weekend time!!! :D And it's a special one in my country, because it's time for Mardi Gras. This weekend we have carnivals all over the country and there are lots of events for kids as well. People (mostly kids) dress up in costumes and go out. There are even prizes for the best costume(s). It's really fun and interesting to see how creative some people are. We even have special deserts we eat during this time. We make "krofi" (our version of doughnuts) amd "flancati". Yum! My mum usually makes those and they are de-li-cious!!! She'll be making some for Fat Tuesday and I've already told her I wouldn't mind if she made some extra and dropped them here. He he. ;P

Not too long ago my friend celebrated her birthday and I want to show you a card I made for her (she's already received it, so it's safe to do so). Sorry in advance because the pictures aren't the best.


I know she likes Tilda, so I chose this cutie for the main image of my card. I coloured Tilda with distress inks. Papers, ribbon, doily and pearls all came from my stash. "Happy birthday" is a G Studio stamp. I used my craft punch for the butterflies.

    Oh gosh .. the celebrations there sound so WONDERFUL! And the desserts .. mmmmmm .. sounds so DELISH!! I hope your Mom drops you off some too!!! hehehehe!!! :)

    Well, your card is sooooo GORGEOUS! Love those soft delicate colouring and pink/green is such a BEAUTIFUL combo! I'm loving on all those big pearls and sweet bow to give it that perfect touch! I know your friend must've absolutely LOVED it!
