Wall decoration

So, here it is. The first Yumi and Fumi Handmade challenge in the new year. And we wanted to make it as easy as possible for you so many of you can join, so we have an anything goes challenge for you. So fun, right? I hope you will come play with us. You don't have to use Y&FH stamps to join our challenge, but we'd sure like to see them if you have them. ;)

Last year when we bought a kitchen vent the top was covered with a plastic plate (I'm guessing this was needed so it kept the shape and didn't get damaged). Once the kitchen vent was installed, we had no use of the plate anymore, so we were going to toss it in the bin. But I thought it would make a great wall decoration, so I saved it. :) Don't you just love recycling?! The plate has been sitting in my cabinet for several months and now I decided to alter it. This is the result.

I decorated the plate with some pink and green papers from my stash. The image I used is called Yumi and you can get it in the Yumi and Fumi handmade store. I did the coloring with distress inks. Ribbons, pearls and gems are from my stash. Ovals and border are Spellbinders dies, the bigger butterfly is Cheery Lynn die and the small butterflies are made with craft punch. The letters are made with TH Vintage market die. I covered each letter with glitter glue.

I hope you like my wall decor and that you will come play with us at Yumi and Fumi Handmade!

Hugs! xx
