Good morning! How are you? It's been my first week at work after the holidays and it went by pretty quickly. I mean, I know it's "only" Thursday, but anyway. Just one more day to go to have some free time again. Not bad. ;)
Today a new challenge starts at Crafty ribbons challenge blog and it was up to me to choose a theme. And I chose "no designer paper". Yup, this means you have to stay away from all those gorgeous papers pads. Not an easy task, I know. ;) But trust me, you can create gorgeous cards and other projects even without them. My teamies did a fab job so be sure to hop over the challenge blog and check them out.
We also have a yummy prize for one lucky winner. If you want to know what it is, hop over to the challenge blog. ;)
I made a Christmas card for this challenge.
I only used white cardstock for this card. For the background I used a piece of white cardstock over which I stamped with Kaisercraft music notes stamp and then I inked the edges with TH vintage photo distress ink which was a gift from my sweet friend Rosie. On the smaller piece of cardstock which I used on the bottom half of my card I stamped with several different snowflakes stamps. The white cardstock behind the image was embossed with Cuttlebug's swiss dots embossing folder and then I inked the edges with TH antique linen distress ink. The image was embossed with Queen's gold embossing powder from Ranger. I inked the edges around the image with TH vintage photo distress ink. The two bigger snowflakes are Marianne design dies and the small snowflakes were made with my craft punch. The doily, crystals and those tiny golden stars are from my stash. The bigger golden stars are actually cut from a gold stars ribbon that you can find in the Crafty ribbons store and the lace is from Crafty ribbons too.
I woul like to enter my card to the following challenges:
Papertake weekly: Anything goes
Forever friends: Anything goes (monthly challenge)
