A touch of vintage

Hey hey! How are you? My week off is officially over. I wouldn't mind a couple of more free days though. lol I had a lot of fun! I went on some one-day trips around the country, did some crafting ... Just fun and relaxing things! I didn't do as much crafting as I planned though. I think my mojo took a break too. *sigh*

Anyways, I still managed to make this card.

I received these gorgeous Prima papers and the fab lace from sweet Chelsea (thank you so much!!! xx) and I really wanted to make something from them. And this is the result. A vintage Tilda card. The plan was to stay away from the cute images for a change, but couldn't do it. *oops* This was the very first Tilda stamp I've ever bought and I think she's a real cutie. Wouldn't you agree? I think she can be used for many different occassions. I coloured her with distress inks. I raised Tilda on foam pads to give the card some dimension.

See those big(ger) printed-over flowers? I received those from my amazing friend Rosie (thank you bunches!! xx). She sent them to me quite some time ago, but I didn't want to use them, because I thought they were so beautiful and I knew that once they are gone, they are gone. But I thought they would be perfect for this card, so I went ahead and used some. The roses and white flowers came from my stash. The butterfies are a stamp from Rubber stampede. I coloured those with distress inks as well. Ribbons, doily, crystals and pearl strings came from my stash. I used Viva decor pearl pen for the dots on scalloped circles.

So much from me today. Have a wonderful day!
Hugs! xx

Some tulips just for you

Heya! How are you? I'm enjoying my week off. I've already taken a couple of one-day-trips to several cities around the country and if the weather permits I will do another one. I've also been doing some crafting. One of the cards I made was for this week's challenge at Crafty ribbons. The theme is "anything goes with ribbon", so I hope many of you will come play with us. Especially with such a yummy prize on offer ... ;)

Anyways, here's the card I made ...

I haven't used this Tilda for a while so I thought I'd ink it up. I coloured her wih Promakers and I did the shading with Faber Castell pencils. Around Tilda I stamped with Recollections stamps. Papers came from my stash and so did the big pearls.I really like this butterfly border die from Joy Crafts. Isn't it beautiful? I used the tiny pearls from my stash to add to the center of each butterfly. The other dies I used are from Spellbinders. The picot edge circle was embossed with mystic clouds embossing folder from Mpress. And the white cardstock under the ribbons was embossed with Anna Griffin's acanthus embossing folder. The small butterflies were made with craft punch. I used several different ribbons on my card - they are all from the Crafty ribbons store. I used red satin ribbon (for the bow), Christmas owl ribbon - flowers/snowy, you are my sunshine ribbon (back) and Christmas tree red satin ribbon with wired edges (back). The last two ribbons are discontinued, but you can still get them in the jam pots or the ribbon packs. Also, there are maaaaaany more amazing grosgrain ribbons you can check out. :)

My 4th blogaversary and candy for you

*****This post will be on top til February 14. Please scroll down for newer posts. Thank you!*****

Hey, hey! Wow, I can't believe I've been blogging for 4 years already. Goodness, time just flew by. These 4 years have been ah-ma-zing; I got to know many wonderful people who I am now proud to call friends, I got to work with the most amazing ladies ... To keep it short - I had a blast! :D I want to thank each and every single one of you for all the support and nice comments. You are amazing!

So, as a thank you and to celebrate, I put together a small candy for all of you. Since Valentine's day is not far away, I decided to do a Valentine's related candy. There is a pack of stamps that I thought were perfect for the "love day" as well as several pink thingies with which you can decorate your projects.

Candy will close on Fabruary 14 and I will announce the winner a day after.

To be in the chance to win this candy all I ask is that you put the candy picture on your blog with the link here and leave your name with Mr. Linky. You don't have to be a follower of my blog to win this candy, but if you like my work I'd be one happy little bunny if you clicked on that "follow" button. ;)

Have a wonderful day! Hugs! xx

Happy birthday Renate'

What a fun day is today. Why, you ask? Because it's Renate's birthday!!! Don't know who Renate' is? Well, she's one amazing person and I am very happy I got to meet her. And she is also a part of the Yumi and Fumi duo (in case you are wondering - she's Yumi). You know, that stamp company with those veeeery cute stamps.

Happy birthday Renate'! I hope you've been enjoying your special day and that you were spoiled like a princess. I wish you all the best! Hugs!

Ladies from the Yumi and Fumi DT decided to make a special surprise for Renate'. Each of us created a banner in Renate's favourite colours and with one of the adorable Y&FH images in it. Then we mailed the banners to her. There's a letter on each banner and Renate' will have to put the banners together to spell "happy birthday". I hope she will like the idea.

I really enjoyed putting this banner together. And I just realized that this was the first banner I've made so far. Will definitely make more.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY RENATE'!

Oh so girly

Good morning! I hope you've been enjoying your weekend so far. It's a yucky weather outside so I have the perfect excuse to stay in, watch some TV, do some crafting ...

I'd like to show you a card I made the other day.

I chose pink and green colour combination again. Papers came from various brands - I used scraps from my stash. The white cardstock behind the image and the butterfly were embossed with Anna Griffin's reflected damask embossing folder. The image is from LLLC. I coloured Marci with Promarkers and I did the shading with Faber Castell pencils. I covered her necklace and the flower with glitterf glue. The beautiful pink ribbon is from Crafty ribbons. You can find it in a 15 mm mini pack, which is now on sale. You can get it for as little as 1 GBP. Awesome bargain, don't you think? Doily, sequins, buttons, gems and pearls are from my stash. The big(ger) flower, butterfly and leaves are Marianne design dies, the middle flowers are TH dies and the smallest flowers were made with my craft punch.

I would like to enter my card to the following challenges:

You hold the key to my heart

Good morning! I hope you bookmarked today's date on your calendar, because today our challenges at Crafty ribbons are back!!! Yay!!! :D To start off, we have the easiest challenge possible - anything goes. So be sure to link your creations. Here's the awesome prize you can win ...

Since February is a "love month" (or so it seems with all the hearts and other Valentine's day decorations everywhere) I decided to make a love/romantic card for this challenge. I don't do these often so it was nice to make something different for a change. Plus, I got to ink my new LLLC stamp that I got from my sweet friend (love ya girl!).

Now, isn't Marci just too cute? I think she's one cutie patootie. :) I coloured her with distress inks and raised her on foam pads to give the card some dimension. The sentiment came with the stamp as well. The fuchsia oval behind Marci was embossed with Anna Griffin's reflected damask embossing folder (which was a gift from another veeeeery sweet lady - love ya too girl! :D). After I did the embossing I used my white stamp pad and went over the raised parts with it. Papers are from Studio light and Artsy collage's Nature collage kit. Butterflies came with Nature collage kit too, I just cut them out. The dotty ribbon came from Crafty ribbons - you can find it here. Dies used on this card are from Spellbinders and LLLC.

Have a wonderful day! Hugs! xx

Flowers and butterflies

Heya! How are you? Everything ok where you live? We had terrible weather over the weekend. We were getting lots of frozen rain and it caused lots of problems on the roads and everywhere else. Many people lost their electricity and they have been without it for 2 days, even though the firemen and other people are doing their best to help them. In many school around the country they didn't have any classes today because it was too dangerous. I'm lucky that in the area where I live we didn't have such big problems. I hope you are safe and sound, wherever you live!

I want to show you a card I made the other day. It's a bit different, because it doesn't have a stamped image in the center. Instead I used some big(ger) fabric flowers for the focal point of my card.

I've had these flowers in my stash for quite a while. Not to mention the brad I used for the center of the flower ... Gosh, I think I've had it in my stash for what seems like forever. Pearls, ribbons, gems and papers came from my stash as well. See the bigger butterfly? It's a stamp from Inkadinkado and I absolutely love it. I just have to remember to use it more often ... And the small butterflies are a stamp from Folia. I coloured the butterflies with Promarkers and then added some glitter glue on the coloured areas. The butterfly border die is from Joy crafts and the lacy square is Marianne design die. I also use my border punch.

Have a wonderful evening!
Hugs! xx
