Good morning! When I woke up today all I see was snow. It was snowing the whole day yesterday and it looks like also during the night. It's really nice to see all the white trees etc. We're supposed to get even more snow over the weekend. Fun, fun, fun! :) I hope we'll have snow for Christmas as well.
Speaking about Christmas ... In case youdidn't know, we are having a Christmas advent event at Crafty ribbons pure inspiration blog; it's already the 5th day today. Each day we have adifferent sponsor who is offering a wonderful prize to the lucky winner. And today our sponsor is Sassy Cheryl's digis.
Imade a project for today. I love post-it papers, because I am so forgetful that Ineed to write everything down, otherwise I'm sure I will forget it. I don't have a board to pin pieces of paper on, so the wall above my table is usually covered with all those yellow pots-it papers (which are otherwise kept somewhere in the top drawer of my table). So, today I decided to do something about it and I created this board (or whatever you want to call it).
I did a lot of recycling on this project. First I used the cardstock that was a part of my paper cutter's box and wrapped it in this orange paper, which is also recycled (I recently received a rose and it was wrapped in this paper and sice I liked it, I saved it :)). Then I did some stamping over the paper with Viva decor Floral embellishment stamps and with Faded text background stamp from Stampabilities. Using the Spellbinders' die, I cut the border, which I glued to the bottom of my "board". I made the flowers myself. The brown flowers were made with gorgeous satin ribbon from Crafty ribbons and for the big flower I also used a piece of long forgotten fabric, that I once found in my mum's closet and a piece ofgold mesh, which also came as a decorative piece of one gift quite some time ago. In the center of my flowers I glued pale yellow store-bought roses. I was given the swirl die cuts by my friend. They were originally white, but I inked them just a little bit with brown ink pad and stamped over them with Stampabilities faded text background stamp. On the left side you can see my post-it papers. Now I just need to hang this onthe wall above my table. :)
I hope you like my today's project and that you'll also hop to CRPI blog to see what my teamies made. :)
I wish you all a wonderful day. Hugs! xx
