Little winter birdie again

Hello everybody! How is your week so far? Mine is great so far. :) Days are just flying by and I really can't complain that I am bored. On the contrary, I actually wish my day had more than just 24 hours. Do you know this feeling?

I'm sorry because once again I'm behind with visiting your blogs and commenting on your creations. I was going to do it this morning, but I was without internet connection. :S So I promise I will do some blog hopping tomorrow and will visit your blogs then.

I managed to do another Christmas card today - yay for me. lol I used the lovely winter birdie stamp from Sliekje - visit her blog here, she is very talented and very nice too, because she's sharing her digi images for free with everybody. This birdie is definitely one of my favourites and I just know I will use it on many Christmas cards this year. ;)

I wanted to make a card where I wouldn't use traditional colours - green, red, silver and gold. I'm a rebel, I wanted to use some pink! lol Since I didn't have any pink Christmas paper, I made one myself. I colored the white sheet of paper with Tim Holtz's Spun sugar distress ink and then stamped over it with Single snowlake rubber stamps from Stampabilities. The Christmas papers were a gift in one craft magazine. The ribbons are from Crafty ribbon and the snowflakes were made with my punch. I colored the image with Promarkers. I also used Spelbinders' circle and scalloped circle dies for this project.

I would like to enter this card to the following challenges:
Crop Stop: Spellbinders
Oldie but a goodie: Christmas in September
Digi design: Anything goes

  10. Super card, I love the colours you have used and that is such a cute little bird!
I know exactly what you mean about not enough hours in the day, I can't craft and comment on the same day, it has to be one or the other most days!

Thanks for sharing your card with us at Oldie But A Goodie for our Birthday Blog Hop Christmas challenge and good luck
