A friend of mine asked me if I could make a card for her daugher, who is celebrating her 3rd birthday at the beginning of November. The only wish she had was that I use an image with a girl that has lips (so no Tildas ;)). I went through my pile of stamps and found a Double Cupcake Anya from TGF that I thought would be perfect for a birthday card.
When I thought about what little girls (usually) like I thought about these things: glitters, flowers, fairies and butterflies. Well, there's no fairy here, but there are all the other things, especially glitters. Lots and lots of glitters. *ooops*
I coloured Anya with Promarkers and Faber Castell pencils. I also added glitters on her hair bow and parts of cupcakes and parts of her dress. Told you, there are glitters everywhere. lol I embossed the oval behind Anya with Cart-us embossing folder and then I inked the raised parts with my purple ink pad.
Flowers, crystals and bead string are from my stash and lace and buttons are from Crafty ribbons. Number 3 is a sticker.

ReplyDeleteJe pa res, otroci imajo radi, da so na punčkah (v tem primeru) usta, nos in vse ostalo. Ne znam ti povedat, kolikokrat sem že dobila vprašanje, zakaj nimajo Tilde ust. hahahhaa ... glede na to, da jih barvamo večinoma 'veliki' otroci, nas to ne moti in so popolne takšne kot so. hihiiiii ....

Ja, saj vem. Jaz kar naprej dobivam to vprašanje. :) Mene tudi ne moti, da nimajo ust, ampak sem pa opazila, da je kar precej takih, ki jim to ni všeč (tudi odraslih).

What an adorable card, perfect for a little girl, it's so pretty. Can we really have too much glitter on a card? You've used my favourite colour here too, love purple and beautifully embellished. I'm looking forward to Christmas immensely, but there never seems quite enough time to prepare, no matter how early you start is there? :) xx

DeleteI LOVE Christmas - it's my favourite time of the year. But yes, I agree with you, no matter how early you start preparing for it, it's not early enough. One year I started making Christmas cards in February and do you think I had enough when December came? Of course not. *sigh*

DeleteČudovita postavitev, dodatki barvanje... Vidiš meni tudi ni všče oz mi je čudno, da nima obraza kot obraza, vendar imajo vsake učke svojega "malarja" in dejansko celota izpade čudovito. :)

Spectacular Maya! WOW! This is just so much fun, what an amazing card for a third birthday, your friend is going to be so happy! It is NEVER too much glitter, by the way! It wouldn't be Maya-ish if it didn't have glitter! I love the purple and yellow together, especially the layered flowers! As usual, your attention to the finer details is outstanding! Just gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteHalloween...well, I pulled out my Christmas tree to get it ready to decorate, which I will be doing today! We don't celebrate Halloween, but my husband insists I wait for one holiday to be over before I start preparing for the next one! Joy kill! lol :)

Wow, you have Christmas tree out already? You are early. But then again, I fully undertand you! I loooove Christmas and I want to start decorating the house and Christmas tree asap too. Though I think I will wait til the beginning of December. As soon as December comes I will get into action (or maybe even at the end of November, but shhhh). ;)

I celebrate Christmas twice every year. Long story. Anyway, My Mom will be arriving November 24th, so I like to have the house all decorated and ready to go before then...try and get in the spirit and all that jazz! :)
