Once is the first time for everything

Today's card is something special for a couple of resons:
1.) it's the first easel card I've ever made,
2.) it's the first time I've made a card that wasn't square or rectangle,
3.) it's the first time I've made a card using purple and green colour combination.

I've always admired easel cards people were making. They all looked fantastic. I've always wanted to give it a try, but to be honest I had no idea how to do it. And then I found this great tutorial on Crafter's companion and as it didn't look too complicated I decided to try and and make one myself as well. Maybe I should choose square easel card the first time, but I just love those scalloped circles. :$ And since I was in the mood to try new things, I thought that maybe I could try a different color combination too. And I did! I love how purple and green fit together, but I never had the courage to try this colour combination on my cards. Until now. I had much fun with this card and I think there will be more to come. ;) 



I didn't need a wholoe lot of things for this card. I used some solid colour paper, patterned papers from Provo Craft and feathers from my stash. The purple flower was made by me (I love making those flowers, I think they look pretty and they are so easy and quick to make). Of course I had to use those cute little butterflies again. :$ In case you don't know yet, they are a clear stamp from Folia. I colored them with Faber Castell pencils.

Repeat impressions: F16 CASE card challenge (I followed the layout)
Hanna and friends: Purple and one other colour (purple + green)

    Hi sweetie this is so beautiful crafters companion is where I first learnt to do an easel card as I have there pro score board it was the first thing I brought last year actually lol. You have done an awesome job even more so for your first go, you are a natuarl hunni.

    Hi Cebelia, ooh! this is very beautiful. Love the great shape, you would never know it's your first easel, you've done a wonderful job. I always love the yummy embellies you add to your cards and these are gorgeous, especially the flower.

    Purple is my favorite color, and I love the way you paired it with that particular green! Fabulous flower, and you did an excellent job making it an easel card! Great work.
