Flowers everywhere

Hello everybody! It's weekend. Woohoo! :D Do you have any plans? I'll see if I can get some free time to do some crafting and if I can I also want to catch up on commenting. Fingers crossed I can do it.

Before I go to my card, I want to tell you about the candy my mom has on her blog. Hop there and join if you want to. :)

I always like to have some cards on hand (especially birthday ones) for when I need them and might not have time for crafting. I was just going through my box and I noticed that I have quite some cute cards ready to be mailed, but almost none non-cute. Oooops. So I went to work. I always enjoy trying new things when crafting, so this card is something new for me. It's not cute and doesn't have any stamped images. Not even a sentiment. But it does have a lot of flowers. ;)

Sorry because picture isn't the best. In my opinion card looks better in person than it does here.

See, told you there were lots of flowers. ;) It was lots of fun putting this together and even though I enjoy colouring it was a nice change to make a card that didn't require a coloured image.

To make this card I used gorgeous DCWV papers from the Midnight Berry paper pad. For the center I used lots of flowers from different companies. Other embellishments I used are lace, tassel trim, golden butterflies, pearls, gems, pearl string and silicone frame. I made this frame with Mod podge molds. Lacy border is Cottage Cutz die.

Hope you like my today's card. See you soon. Enjoy the weekend! :)

I'd like to enter my card to the following challenges:

Frilly and funkie: Floral infatuation

I used some solid colour cardstock and a piece of design Image was coloured with Promarkers and pencils and then I used Scaredy cats dies to cut it out. I used the same dies for the bats.

Stars are stickers from my stash and ribbon is from Crafty ribbons.

Peek a boo

Hello everybody! Today is the second day of previews at The Greeting Farm blog. Westerday we were showcasing a Scaredy cats stamp set and today we are showing you the second Halloween set that is being released. This one is called Peek a boo and it brings you some more Halloween cuties. :)

I decided to make a small shaker treat bag.

I didn't use any design paper, just some cardstock in different colours. The bat paper you see on my bad is just a piece of white cardstock on which I stamped this cute bat that comes with the set.

I coloured the images with Promarkers and pencils and then I used the Peek a boo dies to cut them out. For the shaker I used some sequins that I had in my stash for a while. Ribbon is from Crafty ribbons.

Well, this is it for today. See you again tomorrow. :) xx

Scaredy cats

Hey hey! :D How are you doing? I'm enjoying the late summer days. It's still sunny most of the time, but it's not too hot anymore, which is great. When I went for a walk yesterday I noticed that the leaves on the trees have already started changing their colours. I guess fall is already knocking at the door. Do you like fall? It's not my favourite season (mainly because there is usuall lots of rain and days are getting shprter and shorter, which means it's dark soon), but I do enjoy watching the nature in all those different colours and I just love chestnut too. Yum! :)

As you know, in fall there's also the scaries holiday of them all - Halloween. ;) I'm not a big fan of Halloween and we don't really celebrate it here, but I still couldn't resist making some Halloween themed projects. Especially since Marie (owner of The Greeting Farm) came out with such amazing Halloween stamps. Seriously, who thought that ghosties etc. could be so cute?! Get ready for the Halloween cuteness in the following days. He he.

Today at the TGF blog we are showcasing Scaredy cats stamp set. I absolutely LOVE it!!! Here's my card I made with stamps from this set.

This little kitty makes me smile each time I see it. Isn't it cute? And it looks like it's having so much fun lying with the broom. :)

I mainly used solid colour cardstock, but I also used a couple of small pieces of design papers. I did some stamping around the kitty to create a background and I used the bat die cut for the small bats. I added some gems and some sequins in the background as well. Around the edges I did some stitching.

So much from me for today. See you again tomorrow for another day of previews. :)

I'd like to enter my card to the following challenges:

Congratulations on your wedding day

Hello everybody! How are you doing? Are you still enjoying the hot summer days or are you getting ready for autumn already? We don't have hot summer wave here anymore and I really like that. I guess that since we are already over the first half of August the fall has started to kicking on the door.

A shirt while ago I made a card for a for a very special lady who is getting married later this year. Normally I won't send the card before the wedding, but there have been some other things involved in the wedding planning that also included mailing, so I thought I would just send the card with them. Also, because this card had to travel quite a lot of miles to reach its destination it had to be sent well in advance to get there in time. Anyways, since Alyce has already received this card, it's safe for me to post a photo on my blog. :)

It's a bit different wedding card, as you can see. At first I was thinking about using a more "traditional" image, but I just like these sweet peas so much that I couldn't resist, I had to use this stamp. Image is from Whimsy stamps and it's called Sweet peas in a pod.

I coloured the image with Distress inks. To decorate the card I used flowers from IAR and from my stash, pearls, gems and lace. Dies used are from Marianne design, Cheery Lynn, Magnolia and Whimsy stamps.

I woul like to enter my card to the following challenges:
Cheery Lynn: Doilies

Elf Christmas

Hello everybody! How's it going? Are you enjoying summer? I am. :) Luckily this year the temperatures are normal (most of the time), so it's not too bad. Can you believe we are nearly at the middle of August already? Where does the time go?! Before I know it December will be knocking on the door. So I thought I better start working on my Christmas cards, otherwise I might have a "problem" when December comes. Have you made any Christmas cards this year yet?

At The Greeting Farm they released a couple of very cute Christmas stamp sets last month and I used 2 of those on my today's card.

Aren't these little elves adorable? They come with Ho ho holidays stamp set and the sentiment is from the Pop up Xmas set. I coloured the images with Promarkers and pencils and I used Liquid applique on the white parts of the hats. I cut the images out and raised them on foam pads to give the card some dimension.

I decorated the card with some lace, pom pom trim, crystals, glittery dots, tiny pearls and star shaped sequins.

So much from me today. Thank you for stopping by. Have a great day! xx

I would like to enter my card to the following challenges:

12 tags of 2016 - August

Hello everybody! How are you? I hope you had a great weekend and that the week started nicely for you. We were celebrating a couple of birthdays over the weekend and it was nice. Then earlier today my grandma came to visit and brought a box of her yummy homemade cookies. Seriously, those are the best cookies ever. They just melt in your mouth. So, so good!

Over the last couple of days I was trying some new crafty techniques. I've been wanting to join TH 12 tags "event" for a long time, but either I didn't have the correct supplies or didn't have time to make something or there was something else that prevent me from participating. But this time I finally made something.

If you want to participate too, go here and check out this month's technique remix.

This is the tag after I finished experimenting with background. I used Mild lavender distress stain and several different distress inks to get this look. After I was done with inking I distressed the edges with my distress tool.

I didn't have the die Tim was using on his tag, so I used Mini Filmstrip die instead. I did some stitching on the edges and I used several other dies to decorate the tag. I made the flower myself - I used Tim's Tattered florals die.

Tim Holtz dies and inks used
Dies: Festive greenery, Vintage Market alphabet, Mini Filmstrip, Tattered florals
Distress inks:Brushed corduroy, Victorian velvet, Black soot
Ditress stain: Mild lavender

Friendship

Heya! It's the first of the month and you know what this means, right? Yup, the start of a new challenge at The Greeting Farm. :) Did you know that 7 August is a national friendship day? As we believe having friends is very important we decided that the theme for this challenge should be "friendship". Make a card, a tag or another project to let your friend(s) know how special (s)he is/they are to you.

I used one of the sweet images from the Magical friends set to make my card. I think those really special friends are (almost) as rare as unicorns, so this image seemed perfect. And the sentiment came from the Mega-mini amazing set.

To decorate the card I used a couple of doilies from my stash, a piece of cheesecloth, pearls and flowers. The big (twisted) yellow flower and the rose that I glued in the middle of it are from I am roses and the other flowers are from my stash. I also used different dies to decorate the card.

I coloured this cutie with Promarkers and pencils. After the colouring was done I used the Magical friends dies to cut out the image. I love fussy cut images, but I don't like fussy cutting, so these dies are a must have or me.

So much from me today. I hope you will join our challenge this month. I can't wait to see what you'll make. :)

Have a great day! xx
