Birthday gift bag

Hey hey! :) How are you doing? I'm a bit bored to be honest. It's not that I wouldn't have anything to do (I actually have quite a lot), but I miss my sweetie. He's been gone since Monday and the apartment is pretty empty without him. Luckily he's coming back tomorrow. Can't wait! :)

To keep myself occupied these last couple of days I've been doing some crafting. One of the things I've made is a gift bag I'm about to show you. A "birthday + ribbon challenge" started at Crafty ribbons challenge blog today (can you believe this is already our 100th challenge?!) and I wanted to do something different, not a birthday card. And as you probably know by now, recently I've been really into making gift bags, so I guess it's no surprise I decided to make one for this challenge as well, right? ;) Anyways, here it is ...

This time I used the adorable Flutter Anya for the center of my gift bag. I coloured her with distress inks and I covered her wings with Stickles. The papers are leftover scraps from Prima Tea Thyme pad. As you can see I used lots of different embellishments on this bag. I used some flowers, doilies and pearls from my stash and ribbons from Crafty ribbons - I used velvet saddle stitch ribbon and love chocolate satin ribbon

So much from me today. I hope you will come play with us. We'd love to see your birthday creations. :) Dont forget to use some ribbon at your creations as well. ;)

Have a wonderful day!
Hugs! xx

Who wants a hug?

Heya! Oh, what a lovely sunny day we have here today. I'm still enjoying my days off and am trying to stock on Christmas cards and gift bags, as well as getting ahead with my DT works. Surprisingly I'm doing pretty well. Usually I'm a "doing-everything-at-the-last-possible-second" type of girl, but once for a change I'm actually ahead. And it feels good! ;)

The other day I was going through my stamps and I realized there are quite a few I haven't inked in a while (or never *eeek*). One of those is also the super sweet Bob the yeti from Yumi & Fumi Handmade. I love this little fella so I immediately took it out of the bag, inked it up and used it on my project. :) Here's what I came up with.

Isn't he oh so fluffy?! I just wanna give him a hug. lol I did the coloring with Promarkers and Faber Castell pencils. Papers are leftover scraps from my stash. Blue stars are made with my Nellie Snellen die. They were cut out of the light blue ardstock, which I later covered with glitter glue. The gold stars are actually a trim - I just cut them apart. You can get this trim at the Crafty ribbons store. The other ribbons (except the white satin one) are from Crafty ribbons as well. Pearls and doily came from my stash. I embossed the oval behind Bob with Mpress Mystic clouds embossing folder. The sentiment ("joy") is a wooden embellishment that I've had in my stash for quite a while. I added some small pearls on it as decoration.

That's it. Bob and I wish you a wonderful day! :D Fluffy hugs! xx

Bella with dahlia

Heya! What a lovely start of the week - the sun is shining, temperatures are just right and I have plenty of time for crafting. Sounds perfect, doesn't it? ;) My Big shot seems to be working for now too, so that's good as well.

Today I have another gift bag to show you. But the difference is that this one is not for Christmas. ;) With the help of my sweet friend I managed to get my hands on this cute stamp from Wild rose studio and I couldn't wait to play with it.

Now, isn't this image just too cute? It brings a smile to my face each time I see it. :) I coloured Bella with distress inks and made some dots around the image using Viva decor pearl pen.

And this is what the whole bag looks like. The design paper is from Wild rose studio as well. Flowers, doilies, lace, pearls and pearl string all came from my stash and the ribbons are from Crafty ribbons. I also used Spellbinders oval dies and small butterfly punch.

Well, that's it from me for today. Have a wonderful week! :)

Golden Christmas

Good morning! Just one more day and it's weekend again. Yay! Do you have any plans? I will probably just stay at home and have a 2 nice and relaxing days. That is, if there won't be any "surprises" (like running to the craft store to buy a new cutting machine).

Yesterday something terrible happened - my Sizzix Big Shot "died" (or so I thought). :( It's been making some strange noises for the last month or so, but it was working normally, so I wasn't paying much attention to it. And yesterday I just couldn't roll it. It was completely jammed. And you know what this means, right? Yes, it was time to PANIC!!! But my sweetie came to the rescue. He took the machine apart and checked if there was something he could to make it work again. It looked like the gears were still ok so he just helped me clean and oil the machine. Then he put the machine back together and now it seems to be working again. Well, kind of. I can roll forwards, but when I try to roll it backwards, it still has some problems occasionally (but most of the time it seems ok). I'll have to wait and see what this means - when the machine is put to test this weekend. Fingers crossed I won't have to buy a new one (at least not just yet).

Anyways, I've been doing quite some crafting lately - mostly gift bags. And here's another Christmas one that I'd like to show you.

Yes, it's a bit different - it doesn't have a cute character in the middle. ;) Instead I used a Christmas tree rubber stamp and embossed it with Ranger's Queen's gold embossing powder and used that as my main image. The papers are from Papermania's First Noel collection. I used Spellbinders dies for the ovals and LLLC dies for (bigger) poinsettias. I drew the templates for the small poinsettias myself and then cut them out with scissors. I tried to make something similar to the LLLC poinsettias, but much smaller. I also added some sequins and bling to my bag. All of the ribbons I used came from the Crafty ribbons store.

Enjoy your Friday and have a wonderful weekend! Hugs! xx

Let it sparkle

Hey, hey! :) How are you doing? I hope you have a weekend off so you can relax a bit and maybe even do some crafting. I've been having a wonderful last couple of days. On Wednesday and Thursday me and my sweetie went to short one day trips and we had an amazing time. For the first time in my life I tried summer toboggan run and even though I was a tiny bit scared at first, it was an amazing experience. I'm definitely not sorry for trying it and if I get the chance to do it again, I will. :)

I also did some crafting. I've been working on more Christmas gift bags and here's one of them.

I used papers from Papermania's First noel collection and some red cardstock from my stash. As you can see, I used the sweet Pickle from Wild rose studio a my main image. I coloured this cutie with Promarkers and Faber Castell pencils. I covered the white parts of Pickles' cap with glitter glue.

I used glitter glue to cover the snowlakes too. I like my creations to sparkle. lol :) The oval behind Pickle was embossed with Anna Griffin's embossing folder. Ribbons, doily and crystals came from my stash. I created the decorative border with my border punch.

I'd like to enter my bag to the following challenges:

A flower just for you

Hey, hey! I hope you had a lovely weekend. Me and my sweetie were invited to lunch to my parents' on Saturday. We had a bbq. My grandparents were there as well and we had a lovely time. Other than that, we've been having lots of concerts and other events going on this weekend at out town, because it' town't holiday (so it's the same every year at the beginning of August). The good thing about living in the city center is that you don't need to go anywhere - you can listen to the concert(s) from your balcony and have the best view. :D

While listening to all those concerts, I also did some crafting. I made a card I'm about to show you.

On this card I also used one of the cute Mo Manning images. :D I really like these little fairies. They are so darn cute! And perfect for all those girly creations. :) I coloured the image with distress inks and on the wings I also used diamond Stickles. I also used Stickles on the flowers and even on the brads which I used for the center of my flowers. ;)

All of the embellishments I used on my card came from my stash. The purple paper with hearts is from Magnolia and the rest of the papers came from my stash as well. I made circle with Spellbinders die.

I'd like to enter my card to the following challenges:
