Wall hangings

Hello everybody! How are you doing? Are you enjoying this holiday season? I hope you were good this year and that Santa left lots of (crafty) goodies for you under the Christmas tree! :)

Today I want to show you what I made to give as Christmas gifts to the ladies in my family (my mum, my grandma ...). *This is a picture heavy post.*

My mum got this:

My grandma got this:

My aunt got this:

And my mother-in-law-to-be got this:

I had a lot of fun making these wall hangings. I used the cork and painted it with white acrylic paint. Whe the paint dried, I stamped on the cork bard with Viva decor floral embellishments clear stamps. I used different ribbons from my stash. The butterflies are MS Monarch butterfly punch. I made the flowers myself, using the Tim Holtz Tattered florals die. For the big rose I followed this tutorial, for the small roses this tutorial and for the brown flower I used on the wall hanging I made for my mum I followed this tutorial here. I received this Tattered florals die from my sweet (and very creative) friend Rosie - thanks a lot hun! I loved making flowers with it. :)

Here are some more flowers I made with this die (following th tutorials mentioned above) ...

And the flowers, which I made up myself - using this same TH dies (I haven't seen any tutorials for flowers like this online, but if it exists, feel free to let me know; or if you want me to do a tutorial, just let me know).

Ok, so much from me today. Have a wonderful day and happy holidays! :)
Hugs!

Sketch challenge at Crafty Ribbons

Hello everybody! How are you? I'm enjoying the sunny day we have today. It's still very cold, but beautiful too. We finally got snow a couple of days ago and now everything is white. Perfect for this time of the year. I just hope the snow will last til Christmas.

Today started a new challenge at Crafty ribbons challenge blog. Tessa and Anke made this wonderful sketch for our 9th challenge.

My lovely teamies created wonderful card for your inspiration so jump over to Crafty ribbons challenge blog to have a look at them.

And here is my card ...

Another Christmas card, of course. ;) I inked the cute Penny Johnson's stamp from Stampavie and colored the image with Promarkers. On the white parts of Santa's dress and hat I used diamond Stickles. I raised the image with foam pads. The gold and red dotty paper are from Folia and the blue paper is from my stash. I embossed the white paper with Cuttlebug's Swiss dot embossing folder. The doily is from my stash and the Let it snow ribbon is from Crafty ribbons. You can find it here.

The prize for this challenge is Bev's bag.

Keeping it simple

Hello everybody! Today started a new challenge at MMCS blog - this is our last challenge for this year, next one will start on January 4. And because we know you are all busy with last minute Christmas preparations we decided to have the easiest of all challenges for you - anything goes. So bring it on, show us all your lovely creations, we can't wait to see them. :) You have 2 weeks to link your creations to the challenge blog. And you can win a great gift too - we are sponsored by our sweet Kitty who is giving the lucky winner  £10 to spend in My mum's craft shop online store.

I made a Christmas card for this challenge. I kept it very simple.

I didn't use any DP, I just used white and red cardstock. I embossed the white cardstock with Snow flurries embossing folder from Sizzix. The ribbon is from my stock and so is the fabric reindeer (I bought a pack of them last year and completely forgot I had them *blush*). I printed the sentiment from Word (it's in Slovenian and it means "happy holidays"). I used Petite scalloped ovales large, Petit ovals large, Classic scallop circle large and Standard circles large Spellbinders dies. On the cardstock behind the deer I stamped with snowflake stamp from Folia. I also used some silver glitter glue.

I wish you all a wonderful day! Thanks for stopping by. Hugs!

Cute and funky Christmas

Hi there! :) How are you feeling today? We are another day closer to Christmas. Do you have any plans for Christmas yet? Have you been good this year so that Santa will bring you lots of presents? ;)

Yesterday I changed my cell phone ringtone to "We wish you a merry Christmas" - Disney version (I love this version - I'm a big kid lol). For the last couple of years this has been my ringtone at this time of the year; I'm making it a tradition. lol

Anyways, enough of my babbling. Let me rather tell you about the new challenge we have for you at MMCS challenge blog. We are all in the Christmas spirit so this week we want to see your cute and funky Christmas creations. Here's the card I made for this challenge ...

I used the sweet little Pickle with poinsettia stamp from Wild rose studio - isn't he just soooooo cute?! <3 I colored him with Promarkers and Faber Castell pencils. On his Christmas hat I added some diamond Stickles. The red swiss dot paper is from Folia and the rest of the papers are from my stash. The music paper is actually one of my music sheets from back when I was still going to music school. I colored it with TH brushed corduroy distress ink. The ribbons are from my stash and so is the little bell. I've had this one for a long time and have absolutely no idea where I got it. Unfortunately it's hard tp see this on the picture, but I actually raised Pickle on foam dots.

I'd like to enter this card to the following challenges:
CropStop: Music is all around us
Take time for you: Christmas
Paper Sundaes: Anything Christmas
Hanna and friends: Winter card
Stampin' for the weekend: Christmas
Timbroscrapmania: Bow

Purple and white

Hello, hello! How are you? I have been busy making Christmas cards; I never learn, I always leave everything til the last minute. *blush* One of the cards I made is this one ...

I didn't use any patterned paper for this card, I just used white and purple cardstocks. I embossed the white cardstock with Cuttlebug Fleur de Lis embossing folder. The image is sweet Flying angel Tilda from Magnolia. I am always connecting angels with Christmas so this image seemed perfect for my card. I colored Tilda with Promarkers and Jolly and Faber Castell pencils. On the wings I used diamond Stickles. To make this card I also used different Spellbinders dies, pearls and ribbon from my stash. The sentiment "vesele praznike" is in Slovenian (I printed it) and it means "happy holidays".

I'd like to enter this card to the following challenges:
Just Magnolia & hAnglar and sTanglar challenge blog: I'm dreaming of a white Christmas
Hanna and friends: Winter card
Paperminutes: Clean and simple (lots of white)
Creative card crew: Tis the season

Traditional colours for Christmas

Hello, hello! How are you today? I'm in the mood for singing and dancing (partially that's also because I just saw the fab card my friend Rosie made). Don't worry, I'm not going to sing anything to you, I will rather tell you about the new challenge we have at Crafty ribbons. The theme is "Traditional colours for Christmas". We have a wonderful sponsor for this challenge too - we are sponsored by the lovely Bev from Mulberry crafts.

MuberryCraftsUK online shop is a Home-Based business run by Bev .

At the moment we are focussing on providing miniature flowers made from genuine mulberry paper for crafts use - although we have a small selection of non -paper crafts too. Why mulberry paper? Because they are robust, realistic look and last longer than ordinary paper and it provides a sustainable income for people in the cottage industry. In due course we will be introducing more of  other craft materials which is not related to mulberry paper.

Look at all the goodies the lucky winner will get!

In bag ...

Goodies out of bag ...

Wow, right?

For my card I used combination of red and white.

I used the cute Christmas angel clear stamp from Kars and the fabby ribbon from Crafty ribbons. Icolored the image with Promarkers and I used diamond Stickles on the wings. It's a bit hard to see on the picture, but I embossed the white papper with Sizzix Snow flurries embossing folder. The corner is a Spellbinders die and the snowflakes are made with my craft punch. The crystals are from my stash. I hope many of you will join our challenge. We can't wait to see your creations. :)

And the winner of my birthday candy is ...

Today is the day to announce the winner of my birthday candy. I used random.org to get the winner and the lucky number is ..... 38.

Dora, that's you. Congrats!!! :D Please contact me by Sunday evening to claim your prize. :)

Traditional Christmas

'tis the season to be jolly ... I'm already in the Christmassy mood. I just hung a cinnamon scented sachet in the hallway of my apartment. It smells soooooooooo good! I am also working on my Christmas gifts and Christmas cards. I really like this time of the year. :)

One of the Christmas cards I made was also for this week's challenge at MMCS challenge blog. The theme of our challenge this week is "traditional Christmas". So I used the traditional image of Santa - it's the rubber stamp from Recollections. I love it!

I just used some solid colour paper in bronze and champagne colour; they are both glittery, that's why they look a bit "strange" on the photo (as if the quality of the picture was bad). I used a border punch and a Spellbinders corner die. On the die and the snowflakes I used some diamond Stickles (I love Stickles!!). The snowflakes are wooden, I just colored them with white acrylic paint and added Stickles and crystals on them. Oh, I also used the Sizzix snowflake embossing folder and some lace and a doily lace from my stash.

I'm sure you are all into making Christmas cards now, so I hope many of you will join our challenge this week. :)

Birthday candy

As promised, I'm here with another candy. My birthday is in November so I thought I'd share some goodies with you. ;) I hope you like what I bought and that many of you will join my candy. Here's the picture of what you can get.

I know everybody hates rules, but unfortunately there have to be some to make this fair for everybody. But don't worry, there aren't many. ;) So here's what you need to do to be able to win ...

2.) You must use latin alphabet; all entries written with cyrillic letters will be deleted!
3.) Leave your info with Mr. Linky. Be fair and only enter once please. Multiple entries will not count!

In order to be in the chance to win a candy you need to do all of those things above.

I'd love it if you were a follower, but it's not a must. Only follow me if you like my blog, not just because of the candy. Also, I love it when and if you write a comment on any of my post. But please keep your comments in English or Slovenian. Thank you!

My candy is opened for everybody everywhere. The candy will close on December 6 and the winner will be announced the day after.

Keeping warm

Brrrr, it's so cold outside. I'm glad I can be in where it's nice and warm. We don't have snow yet, so that's a plus, but I thing that sooner or later we'll get some. After all, it's almost December. I can already smell cinnamon, oranges, cookies ... Yup, that's proably the reason this is my favourite time of the year (despite the cold). ;)

This week's challenge at MMCS challenge blog is "Keeping warm" - a perfect theme for this time of the year, don't you think so? I was asked to make some very simple (meaning: without many embellishments) Christmas cards and I was trying to do this with this one.

On this card I only used some ribbon from my stashn, 2 crystals that also came from my stash and some Icicle Slickles. The green paper is from Provo Craft and the rest are just some left over pieces I had in my drawer. I used the lovely image fromHeather Ellis. I colored the image with Promarkers and Faber Castell pencils. For the snowlakes I used border punch.

I wish you all a wonderful day!
Hugs!

A tag

Hello everybody! How are you doing? I'm taking it veeeeeeeeeery easy today. It's just one of those days when you want to do as little as possible, you know? ;) I might do some crafting later today or I'll just try and catch up with leaving comments on blogs. That sounds like a good plan too, doesn't it?

Anyways, at Crafty ribbons we have a new challenge for you. We want you to make a tag. A small one, a big one ... It doesn't matter. As long as it's a tag, everything is ok. :) Here is the one I made ...

I used a thin white cardstock and colored it with TH Brushed corduroy distress ink. Then I stamped on it with Stampabilities Faded text background stamp and Swirl stamps from Viva decor. The butterflies were made with my MS Monarch butterfly punch and I stamped over them with the Faded text background stamp. The little flowers were made with a punch too. The pearls are from my stash. The brown cardstock is a left over from a cardboard box. I inked it up with TH brushed corduroy ink. The ribbons I used are from Crafty ribbons - I used Organza swiss dot ribbon and Velvet saddle stitch ribbon.

So .. Are you curious what can you win this time? Should I tell you? ;) Ok, I will ... You can win some gorgeous embossed velvet ribbons (like you see on the picture below). They are also available in the store here.

Happy crafting! :)

Things with wings

Hello everybody! How are you doing? I'm still stuck in bed most of the time, but my knee is getting better. I'm having sutures taken out on Monday and hopefully everything will be fine and I'll be up and running around again in no time.

Also, a big hello to all my new followers. *waves* Thank you for joining my blog; I hope you like what you see here. :) I noticed the number of my followers is already over 200. My goodness, I have never thought I'd get this many followers. Thanks to each and every one of you! xx

This week's theme at MMCS challenge blog is "Things with wings". And we have an amazing sponsor this week - Emerald fairies. Don't you just love their images? I do! And if my printer wasn't acting up, I'd definitely make a card with one of their lovely digi images. *sigh*

Instead I used the cute boy ona star image which I printed out quite some time ago and it is a freebies at Angelique's blog.

I colored the image with Promarkers and on the back I did some shading with Faber Castell pencils. On the wings I put some glitters. The papers are from Heidi Grace designs and from Provo Craft. The ribbons and buttons are from my stash.

I hope many of you will come and play with us. :)

Mix and match papers

This will be a very quick post ... I just want to tell you about the new challenge that started today at MMCS blog. This week's theme is "Mix and match papers". We want you to use different design papers this week. I used papers from Provo Craft (the pink one), from Heidi Grace designs (the green one) and from Sizzix' Little Sizzles (the butterfly).

The flowers are from my stash and the lace is from The paper Studio. Beads are also from my stash. The image is adorable angel Tilda from Magnolia. I colored the image with Promarkers. The butterfly was made with my MS punch and the circles were cut with Spellbinders dies.

I hope you'll come and play with us this week. We have a great sponsor too - Elizabeth Bell is offering 2 of her digis to the lucky winner.

Nutella cake with bananas

Today I want to show you the cake I made for my birthday. Tadaaaaaammmm ...

Have you ever eaten a Nutella cake with bananas? No? Then you definitely HAVE TO give it a try. It's soooooooooo good! I had it once or twice before (when I was eating out I ordered it as a desert), but til now  I have never made it myself. And since I always like to try something new (and because I just LOVE Nutella), I decided to make one this year. I found  a recipe online and I was very surprised that it was so easy to make.  Really, no complications. And it was done pretty fast too. And it was oh so yummy - not dry, not too sweet, it was just perfect!!! Definitely one of my favourite cakes (saying this, I should probably add that I am usually not so keen of chocolate cakes, I always prefer fruit cakes). Everybody else seem to like it too; it was gone in no time. :D I'll definitely be making it more often!!

Button box

Hello everybody! Brrrrr, it's cold outside. Luckily I can stay inside where it's warm, sit behind my desk and do some crafting. :D

Right, let me tell you about the new challenge at Crafty Ribbons challenge blog. The theme for this challenge is "Anything but a card". So put your thinking caps on and get creative. Me and some of my lovely teamies decided to show you the button box(es) that we decorated. What button boxes I'm talking about? Hop to Crafty Ribbons page and you'll see. ;) Oh, you didn't know that you cen get buttons at Crafty  Ribbons? You can, you can. They have lots of gorgeous buttons to choose from - spotty buttons, stripe buttons, Christmas buttons ...

Here's how I decorated my button box ...

All the ribbons and buttons I used are from Crafty ribbons; the buttons are from Christmas Berry button box and the ribbons I used are Velvet saddle stitch ribbon - fuchsia/black and 6 mm Grosgrain ribbon ( I *think* I used "ivory" colour, but I am not 100% sure). I made the flowers myself out of newspaper paper. I made the tag with Spellbinders' die and I stamped on with a "Beautiful" stamp that came from "Find your style" set by Close to your heart. Pearls on string are from my stash and the butterflies are a left-over which I get when I use my border butterfly punch. All the DT papers are from Sizzix' Little Sizzles pack.

Oh, another thing before I go ... You are probably wondering what is the prize for our 6th challenge, right? Let me tell you, it's a really nice one. ;) The winner will get to choose ONE of Bev's bags. They are both filled with lots of lovely ribbons (see picture below) so I believe it'll be a tough decision. ;)

Sugar and spice

Sugar and spice - that's our new challenge at MMCS blog. As usually you have one week to enter you creations to the challenge and once again we have a wonderful sponsor. Sweet Krista from Saturated Canary is giving the lucky winner 2 images of their choice. Isn't that great? I love her images. :D For this challenge I made a tag.

I used one of Krista's images - the lovely Nevaeh, which you can find here. I colored the image with Promarkers. All the papers I used are from Provo Craft. I made the butterfly with MS monarch butterfly punch. The flowers are from Crafts. and the ribbon is from m stash. I also used the flower border punch and TH brushed corduroy distress ink.

I hope you will come and play with us. :)

Thank you!

Hey there! Another loooong Wednesday came to an end. Well, almost. I hope you've been having a nice week so far and that you managed to do a lot of crafting. I did. ;) And one of the things I made is also a "thank you" card, that I made for this week's challenge at My mum's craft shop. Yup, today we have a brand new challenge for you. We want you to create a "thank you" project (can be a card or something else). I made a card.

I used the lovely Tilda with peony stamp and colored the image with Promarkers. I masked Tilda and stamped over it with Stampabilities' Faded text background stamp. I stamped the word "hvala" (that's Slovenian for "thank you") with G Studio's clear stamps. The paper in the back is from my stash and so are the flowers, ribbon and pearls. The rhinestones are from Kaiser. I used the blue piece of paper and embossed it with the Cuttlebug's Swiss dots embossing folder. Then I inked the embossed dots with copper ink. The corner was made with Spellbinders' die. I also used the border punch and Hobbycraft's clear stamps

As always, we have a wonderful sponsor this week too; this week Heather Ellis is giving the winner 3 digi images. I hope many of you will come and play with us!

And the winner is ...

Soooo, it's time to tell you who was lucky enough to win all those fabby ribbons, that were kindly donated by Ali  and Tony from Crafty Ribbons. I used random.org to get the winner. And the lucky winner is ...................... No. 50. That is you, Regina. Congrats! :D You have til Friday evening to contact me to claim your prize.

If I don't hear from Regina by Friday evening, I will choose another winner.

To those of you, who haven't won anything, I'm sorry. But don't worry, very soon (in a few days) you will have another chance to get some goodies. In a couple of days I'm going to post another candy on my blog. So stay tuned. ;)

Calling all the ribbon lovers

As promised here's a new candy. :D If you like using ribbonson your projects, you will definitely like it. ;) Sweet Ali from Crafty ribbons kindly gave the DT some of their fabby ribbons to offer them as candy. Isn't that very generous of her? Look at all the ribbons you can win ...

Wow, right? And these can all be yours. All you need to do is  mention this candy in you blog (sidebar) and leave your name with Mr. Linky (if Mr. Linky is missing just leave a comment and I'll add you myself). We would really, really, reeeeeeeeally appreciate if you also hopped to the Crafty ribbons challenge blog and become a follower, but it's not a must. However, you might enjoy our challenges. :)  Every 2 weeks you have the chance to participate in the challenge and win some yummy ribbons. Not bad at all, huh? ;) New challenge starts on Thursday so keep your eyes on the challenge blog. :D

IMPORTANT ... Please keep your comments in english or slovenian. I do speak/understand bits of a few other languages as well, but not good enough to understand everything you are saying. I don't understand a word in russian or french for example and my italian is very limited too. So if you want to participate in a candy and you comment (which is optional but I really appreciate every single comment) the least you can do is to use one of the online translators (if your english isn't good enough to write a comment) and then write your comment in english. From now on I will delete all comments that are not in english or slovenian. I'm sorry if this sounds harsh, but comments and candy entries I don't understand and/or can't even read (in cyrillic) aren't really "my thing".

This candy will close on October 31st and the winner will be announced the next day. Good luck to all of you!

Let's play bingo!

Hi there! Today a new challenge started at Crafty ribbons challenge blog - we want to invite you to come and play Bingo with us! :D Now, doesn't that sound fun?! I hope many of you will come play with us! Here's the Bingo board ...

We also have some fantastic prizes for you - this challenge is being sponsored by sweet Bev from Mulberry crafts. Look at all the fabby flowers she is giving to the lucky winner ...

And that's not all ... Ali and Tony from Crafty ribbons are giving one lucky follower of the Crafty ribbons challenge blog the chance to win one of Bev's bags (winner's choice). So many gorgeous ribbons ...

Don't you just love all the prizes? I wish I could participate in this challenge too!!! ;)

I created a girly card for this challenge. I used my brand new Dress up Marci stamp from La-La Land Crafts that I received from my very sweet and very talented friend, Rosie. If you have a moment, please stop by her blog to see all her amazing creations. I colored Marci with Promarkers. For the beads on the necklace I used paint. I cut the circle and scalloped circle with Spellbinders dies. I also used Cuttlebug Swiss dots embossing folder and MS monarch butterfly punch. I've been wanting this punch for soooo long, but couldn't get my hands on it. So when I finally got it (again, thanks to Rosie), I was over the moon. This is definitely one of the things that I'll be using A LOT. :D The ribbon is - of course - from Crafty ribbons. The flowers I used are stickers - they are from my stash. And so is the paper. I would love to give you the info about the brand, but unfortunately I have no idea where it is from. Here's what my card looks like ...

What are you waiting for? Come play Bingo with us! :D

Get spooked

Hello, hello! How are you? I hope you are having nicer days than we do. It's been cloudy and gray here for the last couple of days and today it was also raining in the morning. Typical autumn weather I suppose. I already miss warm sunny days. But I admit that autumn has its charms too; e.g. leaves in all the beautiful colours. And of course Halloween is in this time of year too. ;) Halloween has only been getting more popular here in the last couple of years. I can't say it's my favourite holiday, but I sill plan on carve a pumpkin or two. :P

At My mum's craft shop challenge blog we have a perfect challenge for all you Halloween lovers. We want you to create a spooky card/project. This week we are being sponsored by Sassy Cheryl's digis - they are giving the lucky winner $5 to spend in their store.

The DT got some of their spooktacular Sassy Cheryl images to play with. On my project I used the cute witch, which you can get here.

This was supposed to be a candy bag, but I didn't have any candy at home, so I put some of my buttons in the bag to give you the idea what it'll be like once it's filled with candy (I'm off to do some shopping later today). This bag was very easy, fast and fun to make. I followed tutorial I found on this site. I colored the image with Promarkers and some Crayola markers. The ribbons are from Crafty ribbons and the buttom on the ribbon flower is from my stash. I also used the Spellbinders dies to cut out circles and scalloped circle. I drew the bats myself on the black piece of paper, cut them out and glued them on the bag.

I hope you'll join our challenge. We can't wait to see all your spooky creations. :)

I'd like to enter this bag in the following challenges:
Crop Stop: Halloween
Ribbon carousel: Halloween
Paper play: Use black
Simon says stamp!: Anything goes
Through the craftroom: Happy Halloween
Craft your days away: Halloween colours

Santa's little helper

Hi everybody! I'm not feeling well today, so this will be a very short post. I just want to get back to bed asap.

Today a new challenge started at MMCS blog and this week's theme is "Food and drink". We have a wonderful sponsor this week - Wild rose studio. They offered the lucky winner 2 stamps of winner's choice. Wonderful, right? They sure have loooooots of fabby images to choose from.

Here's the card I made for this challenge ...

I used the cute free digi from Angelique - you can get this cutie on her blog. The red paper is from Provo Craft and the green paper is just a left over piece from my stash. I stamped over it with Single snowflake stamp from Stampabilities. The gorgeous glittery ribbon is from Crafty ribbons. I colored the image with Promarkers. The snowflakes are made with my punch and in the middle of each snowflake I glued a crystal from my stash.

I hope many of you will come and play with us this week. I can't wait to see all your lovely creations. Hugs!

Ribbon and lace

Hello everybody! I'm very happy to see you here. :) I'm going to do some blog hopping tomorrow and will stop by your blogs and do some commenting.

Today a 4th challenge started at Crafty ribbons blog. This fortnight's challenge theme is "ribbon and lace". I doesn't get much easier than that, does it? lol I hope many of you will come and play along with us. We have a great sponsor for this challenge. The sweet Krista from Saturated canary will give the lucky winner two of her incredibly cute images. The DT was lucky to get some of her images to play with too and we used them on our cards. I used the fab Tressa the princess image. Isn't she cute?!

I used some papers, doily lace and pearls from my stash and the gorgeous ribbons from Crafty ribbons. I colored the image with Promarkers.

I'm off to bed now. It was a looooooooooong day today. See ya tomorrow! :)

Remind you of a song

Hello everybody! How are you doing? Enjoying your week so far? I've had. a very busy couple of days. It was crazy. But things settled down now so I hope it'll be a bit better from now on.

As every Wednesday, even today we have a new challenge at the MMCS blog for you. And today's challeng is "Remind you of a song". It was a hard choice for me of what card to make, because I have quite some songs that I love. But at the end I went with Robbie Williams' song Angels and I made a card inspired by this song ~ needless to say I kept listening to it over and over again while crafting and "sing" (if you can call this singing lol) along.

This cute Tilda image was just perfect for my card. Isn't she just sooooooo cute?! I also love these papers from Scrapwork's Formal affair. I colored Tildawith Promarkers and I used Stickles on her wings. The ribbon, lace and pearls are from my stash. I made the snowflakes with a punch. The sentiment is in Slovenian and it means "happy holidays" - I just printed that one.

I wish you a wonderful day! :)

Another Christmas card

Grrrrr, today I was going to do some blog hopping and comment on your posts, but Blogger doesn't allow me to leave comments. :S Another glitch I guess. I hope it'll be fixed soon.

Today I had a lazy day. I just did some more bobbin-work (I made another clover) and I also made a Christmas card. I keep reminding myself that I *must* make some more Christmas cards (the sooner the better), but somehow I always end up doing something completely different. Knowing myself it'll be "last-minute-rush" with these cards again, even though I started in January. So much about my organization. *blush*

Here's the card I made today ...

As you can see I used that cute birdie digi, which I got here. I colored the image with Promarkers and I added some Stickles on the cap. The ribbon is from Crafty ribbons and the other things (star confetti, pearls and doily) are from my stash. I got this paper with a swap some time ago, but I *think* it came with one magazine. Not sure though.

I would like to add this card to the following challenge:
Crop Stop:  Dainty doily

Yay, I did it! :D :D

Yesterday I finished my very first lace (Slovenia is well known by Idrija laces and I recently started learning how to make these). I've always liked Idrija laces, but as they are all completely handmade, they can get really expensive, so I though I might as well give it a shot and try to learn how to make them myself. So earlier this year I bought all the things I needed and about a month ago I started learning how to do these.

For my first project I chose ... Butterfly, what else?! lol This wasn't the easiest one to start with, but it was worth all the efforts. I love how it turned out.

And today I made another lace - a four leaf clover. I need to make three of these for the gifts. :)

These laces are both completely handmade. These are bobbin laces (click to get to wiki if you want more details), which means you make them with bobbins - obviously. lol You also need a pattern. I'm just a beginner, but I really like making these laces and will definitely make many more.

All creatures - great and small

Heya! It's wednesday which means we have a new challenge for you at the My mums craft shop challenge blog. This week's theme is "All creatures - big and small". I hope lots of you will come and play with us. :) Oh, and before I forget, we have a great sponsor this week too - Di's digis is offering 4 digi stamps to the lucky winner.

First let me apologize because my piccie isn't the best. The weather wasn't on my side when I wanted to take pictures so the colours aren't the best (I tried to do some Photoshop magic on the piccie, but unfortunately I'm not very good at these things).

For this card I used stamps from the Kanban's Autumn Silhouettes set. Isn't the owl just too cute? I colored it with TH disters ink. The paper I used is from Provo Craft and the flower lace/ribbon and leaf are from my stash. The butterflies are made with a craft punch and the crystals in the middle of each butterfly are from my stash.

I hope you are having a nice day! Hugs!

Wishing you well

Hello everybody! I hope you are having a nice week so far. Mine is ok, but nothing special. Pretty much the usual stuff. Work, crafting when I have some free time ... Stuff like that. One of the cards that I made, looks like this ...

I was going for a vintage look so I used the scissors on the paper edges. To be honest it's not my favourite card - I feel like there's something missing. Probably because I always add (many) more embellies on my cards. I wanted to add some more on here too, but I didn't like how any of them looked, so I just left it like this. I do love this butterfly stamp though. It's from the Close to your heart "Find your style" set. The sentiment is a G Studio clear stamp. I made the flower myself using the Spellbinders circle dies, orange paper from my stash and a gold brad, which I also found inmy stash. I also used Stampabilities Faded text background stamp, Cottage floral embossing folder, TH brushed corduroy distress ink and some ribbon that I've had in my drawer for quite some time. I bought it quite some time ago and I really like it, but haven't used it before. The green paper in the back is just a left-over piece from my stash so no idea about the brand, sorry. The brown paper is from Provo Craft and the other green paper is from Artsy collage's Nature collage kit.

I would like to enter this card to the following challenge:
Crop Stop: World card making day
CLP challenge: Sketch

Phone charms

Hello everybody! I'm back again with something new today.

The other day I was playing with beads and I got this idea that I could make some phone charms. I don't know about you, but I love having a charm on my phone. The moment I get a new phone, I will add a charm to it. lol These were really fun to make and I still have some more ideas. I will definitely be making more of these in the furture.

Here are the ones I made so far ...

I used some charms and some glass and metal beads from my stash for these. What do you think?

BOO-tiful Halloween Projects - Pretty Spooky

Hello, hello! Thanks for stopping by my blog today. It's great to see you here. :) We have a new challenge at Crafty ribbons challenge blog for you. The theme of our challenge is BOO-tiful Halloween Projects - Pretty Spooky. We want you to create something for Halloween - can be a card or something else. At Crafty ribbons they have so many fantastic Halloween ribbons and the DT was really lucky to play with some of them. Hop over to the Crafty ribbons challenge blog and check the fabby work from my teamies, they all did an excellent job! :)

And here's my creation ...

This was a plain white box which a decorated with lots of ribbons (they are all from Crafty ribbons) and some orange pearls from my stash. I also used Spellbinders circle and scalopped circle dies. I drew the bat myself on a piece of black cardstock, cut it out and glued it on the orange circle.

You can even win some of the ribbons from the Crafty ribbons Halloween collection by playing with us at this challenge. Here's what we have ready for one lucky winner ...

Aren't these ribbons just great?! If you want to win them, just participate in our challenge here. :) You have til 12 October to link your creation(s) to the challenge. Good luck!
