Skunk with rose

Hey hey! How are you? I've been pretty busy over the last 3 days, but today it was a little bit better. In the afternoon my brother came to visit and we had a long chat and we played some Wii. Of course my sweetie also participated in those activitiea. We were like big kids. lol

In the morning I finally managed to finish a card that I was working on since last week.

Lots of flowers and butterflies on this card again. :) I've all the papers and all the embellishments I used on this card in my stash for a while. I embossed the white oval with Cuttlebug's embossing folder. The butterflies were cut from a Whimsy butterfly border die.

The image I used on my card is called Skunk with rose and is available at Whimsy stamps store.

Isn't he a cutie? I did the colouring with distress inks.

See you again tomorrow! ;) Have a wonderful day!
Hugs! xx

Altered egg carton box

Good morning my crafty friends! :) Are you ready for the weekend? I sure am. :) I will have to do some paperwork for my job, but I'm planning to do some crafting too. The weather is yucky (rain and more rain) so I'm not even tempted to go outside. And rain gives me a good excuse to stay in my craft room. He he. :D

Today I have something a bit different to show you. You know those "must try" and/or "must make one day" lists most of us have? Well, mine is veeeery long and I decided it was high time I start crossing some things off it. So today I'm going to show you something I've been wanting to do for a while, but for some reason kept postponing it. But I finally did it. I was going for a shabby chic look and I used this picture from the Live and love crafts blog as an inspiration.

So ... Here's my very first altered egg carton box.

I made this for a friend of mine and I know she loves pink and flowers so I used lots of those on my box. I hope she will like it!

The box was originally kind of greyish colour so the first thing I did was painting the whole box with two coats of gesso. And then I went decorating. All around the box I glued this gorgeous pink box pleated satin ribbon, a pearl string and a flower trim.

To decorate the top I used a lot of flowers from different brands, some more of those crochet embellishments that I had in my stash, some beads, a doily and a big butterfly.

And this is what the inside of the box looks like. As you can see I used another (smaller) doily and some more flowers, butterflies, beads and crochet embellishments to decorate the inside.

I also made a video of this box. Check it out if you want.

And that's it from me today. Have a wonderful day and enjoy the weekend! xx

I would like to enter my project to the following challenges:

Free hugs

Hello my crafty friends! How are you? I'm having a pretty busy time at work at the moment, but I'm fine otherwise. I have been quite busy crafting lately, but you'll have to wait a bit to see what I made. For now I'm only showing you one card ...

So, who wants to hug this little fella? I know I do. :D Isn't he just too cute? This image is called Free hugs and is available at Whimy stamps store.

I coloured the image with Promarkers. The circle behind the image was embossed with Mpress embossing folder.

All of the embellishments I used on my card came from my stash. The papers are from Authentique and Prima.

I hope your week has been good so far and that the rest of the week is even better. Have a wonderful day! xx

Springtime

Good morning my crafty friends! Are you ready for spring? I sure am. I wish for more beautiful days like the one we have today. It's sunny and pretty warm. Just the way I like it. :)

My card is related to spring as well. :) I used the soft pastel colours, flowers and the super cute image that is called "Springtime" and is available at Whimsy stamps. I made this card for the new challenge that just started at Crafty ribbons blog. The theme is "anything goes" so you have no excuse not to participate. ;)

So, what do you think, doesn't this card just scream "spring"? ;) The papers I used a from different companies, because I used many of those left-over scraps. Flowers, doily, pearls and crystals came from my stash as well. The ribbons all came from Crafty ribbons. I used 25 mm wedding satin ribbon and 2 different ribbons from the pink ribbon pack.

I coloured the image with distress inks. It's heard to see in the picture, but I added glitter glue on all the flowers too. And for the center of the flowers I used teeny tiny pearls.

This is all from me today. I can't wait to see what you will create! Have a wonderful day!
Hugs! xx

Green for luck

Hello everybody! Are you enjoying your weekend so far? I'm having a lazy day. I did some crafting in the morning and in the afternoon I made a raspberry pie. Yum, yum! I love pies and this one is my favourite - along with the blueberry one. And with strawberry one being close second. And not to even mention the apple one ... Told you, I love pies. ;) And the big plus is that they are super easy to make - at least the recipe I have is super easy - and you can't go wrong with it. :)

But I won't show you a pie that I made. I'll rather show you the card. It's a little bit different than my other cards. Why? Look and you'll see. ;)

It's green - compleately green. Definitely not the colour I would use often on my creations. But it was nice to step out of my comfort zone and make something a bit different for a change. I used papers from Kaisercraft, Authentique and JB. The flowers, doilies and pearls came from my stash. The ribbon is from Crafty ribbons. For the center of my flowers I used gold brads.

This image is called Flutter Anya. Isn't she cute? I coloured her with Promarkers and I did some shading with my pencils. I covered the wings with glitter glue.

That's it for me today. Have a wonderful weekend! Hugs! xx

I'd like to enter my card to the following challenges:
Loves rubberstamps: 3 shades of green
The greeting farm: Green and white
As you like it: Rubber or digi (definitely rubber for me, because a) my printer often doesn't have any ink and b) because I like colouring with distress inks and if colouring digis I'm always afraid everything will smudge - and often does :S)

Happy birthday Marie :)

Hello everybody! I'm here today because I want to share with you a card that I made for a special lady - Marie. She's the owner of The Greeting Farm. The DT ladies prepared a celebration for her and there are also some guest participants. And I'm one of them. Yay! :D I feel honoured to be invited to participate in this event, because I really like TGF images and always have fun using them on my creations.

So, I'd like to shout a big HAPPY BIRTHDAY to Marie. :D And here are some (cup)cakes to help you celebrate. ;)

I wanted to make this card cute and girly so I used all the girliest things - flowers, butterflies, pearls and pink. Oh, and glitter too. Unfortunately it's hard to see in the picture, but I used glitter glue on parts of Anya's dress, cupcakes and hair accessories as well as on the butterfly.

On this card I used papers from Authentique, ribbons from Crafty ribbons and embellishments from my stash. Dies used are from Spellbinders, LLLC and Prickley pear.

Well, that's all from me today. I hope you'll hop to The Greeting Farm blog and wish Marie happy birthday. :)

Have a wonderful day!
Hugs! xx

Happy Wednesday!

Hello there my crafty friends! How are you all doing? Good, I hope. We were supposed to get lots of rain today (and even some snow), but so far the weather has been fine (at least in my town).

Today I'd like to show you a card I made for a friend of mine. She saw the previous card I made with the Whimsy Ballerina  girl stamp and she asked me if I cound make another card with this image for her to give it to her sister (she's a ballet teacher). Of course I said I could and here is what I came up with.

I love soft pastel colours and that's why I used them on this card. All of the papers and embellishments came from my stash. I coloured the image with Promarkers and I added some glitters on parts of ballerina's dress.

I hope my friend's sister will like this card when she receives it. I sure had fun making it. :)

Have a wondertul day!
Hugs! xx

Spring is on the way

Hey hey! :) How are you? I'm enjoying the beautiful sunny day. We're supposed to get rain again tomorrow so I'm trying to get the best of this lovely day. It looks like spring is finally on its way. I've already seen some spring flowers when I went for a walk the other day and temperatures are getting higher. And days are finally getting longer too. It's so great that it's not dark at 4 or 5 pm already.

Today I would like to show you a card that was inspired by the lovely sunny days and spring itself. So as you can imagine, you will see lots of flowers and butterflies. He he. ;)

I've decided to use some bright flowery papers from my stash for this card. And the image is from TGF. I did the colouring with Promarkers and I added some glitters on the flowers and parts of Dahlia's dress.

Doily, pearls, crystals, flowers and checkered ribbon came from my stash. I used white gel pen to make dots on butterfly border die cut. I embossed the white oval behind Anya with Cart-us embossing folder.

I hope the weather is nice where you live and that you are having a wonderful day!
Hugs
