Scrapbook

*This is a picture heavy post!*

Heya! I'm catching the last moments of my vacations. It was good to be able to stay at "home" for the whole week and just relax. I wouldn't mind if I got an extra free gift though. *wishful thinking* He he.

Today I want to show you something new ... It's a scrapbook that I made for my mum's birthday. I made it from brown paper bags and it took me quite some time to finish it, but it was worth the effort. I really like how it turned out. This was the first time I've done an album from paper bags (and it's actually only the second scrapbook I've made). I took pictures when the tags were missing (I had them on my desk - I only thought of that when all the photos were already taken and uploaded to my computer and I really didn't feel like taking all those pictures again). Also, I blured the photos. Sorry about this, I know it doesn't look very nice, but my mum *hates* even just the thought of having *any* of her photos online somewhere.

In this album I used products from MANY different companies so I can't list them all, but if you have any questions just ask and I'll answer if I can.

Ok, enough babbling, here are the pictures ...

The front cover of the album.

First and second page - there's a "pocket" on the bottom of the second page and you can open it

Second page - "pocket" on the bottom (on the right side there's a tag missing)

Third and fourth page (on the  "small" fourth page the tag is missing)

Fifth and sixth page

Seventh and eighth page

Ninth and tenth page

The back cover

That's it. I hope you liked it. :) My mum was very happy with it. :D

Have a wonderful day! Hugs! xx

How to make your own patterned paper - tutorial

Heya! Today I have a new tutorial for you - I will show you how to make a patterned paper using Tim Holtz distress ink, stamps and glitters. I have quite some glitters but I barely ever use(d) them. So I decided to do something about it and I came up with the idea to use them to make a nice patterned paper. Here are the pictures of the paper I made tutorial for. I hope you like it and that you'll give it a try. :)

Oh, by the way, use the kind of glue that is transparent and non sticky once it dries.

If you have any questions, just let me know. :)

Have a wonderful weekend!

Paws for thought

Good afternoon! How are you doing? I've been so tired for the last couple of days. No idea why though, but I am sure looking forward to getting some more sleep tonight; I don't need to go to work tomorrow so I can sleep a bit longer. :D

Today a new challenge started at Crafty ribbons. Our theme this time is "Paws for thought". We want to see some paws or animals etc. on your project. At Crafty ribbons store you can find the cutest paws/animal print ribbons. We are also giving some of those away as a prize for our challenge winner. Look, here's what you can win ...

Aren't these ribbons just amazing? I love them! If you want to see some amazing work my teamies did with these ribbons hop to Cratfy ribbons challenge blog and check out their projects. :)

I have a bad habit of reading more than one book at a time (and I'm also very good at losing bookmarks *blush*) so I'm always in a need of bookmarks. So I decided to make a bookmark for this challenge.

I used the Silly Moo ribbon and black ric rac ribbon. The papers are from Provo craft and the butterfly is MS punch. The button and pearls are from my stash and the tag was made using the Spellbinders Fancy tags die. I also used the butterflies edge punch and pearl pen from Viva decor.

I hope you'll come and play with us!
Hugs! xx

For a baby boy

Hello! How are you doing? Are you looking forward to the weekend? I am 100 % ready for it (yes, I know it's "only" Thursday lol). I'm planning to do lots of crafting over the weekend. Fingers crossed I'll actually manage to get around to do it.

Today I want to show you a card for a baby boy that I made for our new challenge at Crafty ribbons. Our theme for this challenge is "One for the men" or "Boys". I think this theme is one of the hardest for me. I never, ever know how to make a card for a man/boy. I was thinking hard about what to make for this challenge and then I found this cute digi image on the internet (I'm sorry, but I lost the link :( ) and I decided I'd make a baby boy card. I love bright colours so I had to use red and yellow papers on my project. ;)

I colored the image with Promarkers. The beautiful red ribbon is from Crafty ribbons, the gems are from my stash and the papers are from Heidi Grace. I raised the image and the sentiment on foam pads. I printed the sentiment from word (the sentiment is in Slovenian and it means "sincere congratulations") and cut it out with Spellbinders Fancy tags die.

We are sponsored by Mulberry crafts and one lucky person, who will participate in our challenge, will receive this gorgeous prize ...

Wow, right? I wish I could take part in this challenge too!! lol Anyways, I hope many of you will come play with us! :) Have a nice day!

I would like to enter mycard to the following challenges:
Divas by design: Anything goes
Secret crafter: Ribbons
